All poll discussions are posted on the General Forum, as are the Tip.It Times discussion topics. As stevepole correctly mentioned, each poll we run always has a F2P option - that way NOBODY is excluded. And something that everyone can participate in belongs on this board, not on the General P2P board. Thanks for calling us stupid. We appreciate the constructive criticism. :roll:

I understand what you're trying to do with your calculator, but I still don't get its purpose. Isn't it simply a fancy version of a plain old calculator - you know, the kind that comes with everyone's computer? If each essence costs x and I can sell each rune I make for y, it doesn't take a special calculator to figure out that the profit I make off each one is y less x. See what I mean? I can do that with any calculator or even a paper and pencil.... As for the exp gained when making the runes, we already have a calculator for that.

We have always maintained that we would not be creating a price database or guide, or anything related to current market values of items. A profit calculator would fall under the same umbrella. Don't ever write anything along the lines of "I think" or "I believe" because that only weakens your point. Be brave. Declare now, argue later. (And heck, why would you be writing that if you didn't believe what you were saying?) Some of those are the result of Admin editing.

I'm sorry, but there's a reason that exe files are censored on these forums. It's simply too dangerous and we unfortunately do not have the time to investigate each one for malicious code. We do not allow anyone to post links to executable files - although we have taken a look at yours and it looks clean, we still can't allow you to post it here. If we allow one person to post a calculator or other program link, we would then be forced to allow everyone to do it. This would give troublemakers a way of posting keyloggers and other malware by saying the program is a calculator or whatever. And as I said, we do not have the time or resources to check out and clear every single one. The only exception would be to post a link to a site (NOT an executable file) on the Advertisement sticky. If we start allowing executable files we'll be opening up a can of worms. I've removed the link you posted. Sorry.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but do not assume that just because YOU know something, that everyone else knows it too. We have new players reading the Times as well, and I'm certain many of those people did not know about the CTRL + click trick. Calling something "lame" because you personally didn't learn anything is not the kind of feedback that is constructive. And please, if all you can think of to post is flaming comments about our Editor and the others that use our forums, we'd rather you'd not post at all.

I can take a joke. Problem is, your comments weren't meant as a joke. I know the difference.

You can only do that if the section you want the user to go to has a href tag attached to it. For the special drops section of the Slayer Guide, you would use: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=slayer_gu ... layerdrops That's just the url of the linnk you told sorccer3 to click on.

Yeh I was disappointed with this... Tip.it went back on a promise.. *waa* We didn't really think it was appropriate to put a "Did You Know..." at the end of a guest article. We didn't want anyone to associate the tip with the author. But don't worry, the "Did You Know..." feature will be back with the next article written by The Editor.

You might want to watch your attitude, Gold_Tiger10. All I was trying to do was point out was that maybe you could help all our users benefit by providing missing info for our database. It doesn't help the community much to tell us we're missing items and then not submit the information to us if you already have it. Being part of a community means just that - contributing what you can so everyone can benefit. And that last comment about our "smelly" database? There are thousands of people that would disagree with you. And as I said, if it's not complete, do something to help make it complete instead of slamming it and calling it smelly. And remember, insulting the site and its staff on OUR forums isn't exactly the smartest thing to do.

That pic doesn't help much. What item were you looking for exactly when you took that screenshot? That's not in the pic. And if the items are missing, why not submit them for inclusion in the database rather than keeping the information here in a topic that not all our users will see?

Nice work, it's obvious lots of time went into this...but tell me, have you heard about something called the Items Database? I don't mean to draw you down, but isn't easier to just use the database instead???

Here it is, FYI: And to be honest, what you're saying is really REALLY stretching it. You DO realize that you're grasping at straws, don't you? Having a balanced life and saying that "you only get one shot at life" is no more of a religious statement than saying "you can't take it with you". And even in those religions that espouse reincarnation, there isn't one single school of thought that indicates that one comes back as the same person. So even with reincarnation, you DO only get one shot at the life you're presently living. You don't get to be the same person twice. So please, get off your soapbox and stop trying to make an issue out of something that just isn't.
