  1. I dont lag on new detail at all...but with fullscreen its crazy lag...
  2. Yay I inspired someone :). But yea I liked your idea about the [bleep]es. Maybe take it to RSOF?
  3. Nice, im only 79 range so i might use your method. But still, cleaning herbs is not practical.. u gotta clean 10 herbs to be equivalent of 1 potion.
  4. That's going on my sig :D its so true.
  5. Cooking: never done that Smithing: you still lose money, less than other methods but still a loss(this is my fav way to train tho) Fletching: are you kidding me? Herblore:Thats a huge loss Crafting:you lose money cutting, idk about diamond bolts Magic:yea that works Range:aviansies are amazing, but chins are only for the rich and ones who wanna speed train range.
  6. Aright fine, ill edit that, you can have fun getting 99 herblore. But I'm trying to say that really the only ingame reward you get is a skill cape and higher totals. Sure you can get a feeling of accomplishment. Why is it that when I get 99 prayer, ill have an advantage(longer prayer pots, longer prayer lasting)..but with your 93(almost 99) herblore you really cant do anything better than me. I think herblore needs a improvement, like for example: An potion that makes you immune to poison and diseases for 1 hour and it would be untradeable. Or a potion that randomly makes you get a "0" hit instead of whatever the damage would have been. Untradeable potions that actually make you have a benefit. Btw Im not bragging, I know they arent great stats, im just saying ive actually tried those skills. : I totally agree with you on the herblore aspect, and I am sorry that I misunderstood you on the skillls part, my bad Lol ty for agreeing, I guess I made my first post a little too one-sided.
  7. Or perhaps craft/smith armours to make sharper, with a chance of breaking the armour. Succesfully making the armour with sharper edges or w/e would give armour strength bonuses and would make it untradable. I think thats a decent solution for smithing.
  8. lol, yay my thread inspired you to make this thread \ on topic: magic, fishing and cooking. I would probably just kill monsters.
  9. Wait, so making potions dont take time? Why is it 0 seconds for buying and making? And in your situation you forgot to add just buying the finished product. That would cost you "0 gp" and 0 seconds. The reason I saw 0 gp is because 558 is the money difference, what about the 6k or so for the prayer pot itself? So according to your examples, buying is better than both of the examples you showed. So skill capes are to blame? And I understand that some see it as an accomplishment but I'm trying to say that secondary skills need to be improved, perhaps make something thats untradeable near the 90-99 range and would help drastically. Aright fine, ill edit that, you can have fun getting 99 herblore. But I'm trying to say that really the only ingame reward you get is a skill cape and higher totals. Btw Im not bragging, I know they arent great stats, im just saying ive actually tried those skills. : Actually the GE price is so low, its nearly impossible to buy it...another price jagex needs to fix. Yes I understand you get experience, but what does that experience do?..it gives levels right? but what can you do at those higher level?...lose more money. Again, if you had my entire post you would have realized that its better to collect raw materials, sell raw materials and buy finished product. And runescape is not meant to be played by collecting everything yourself, then it would be 1-player. But all you unlock from the 5 skills I mentioned is more ways to lose money..really the only thing you get is a skillcape. But it's not a buyable skill, you actually have to run back and forth, etc. Also runecrafting is one of the better secondary skills, it makes an item which is sought more in its refined state (runes)
  10. Green I really like your idea, it would be similar to spottier cape for hunter, right?
  11. PLEASE DO NOT POST UNLESS YOU READ MY ENTIRE POST! EDIT: Here is a thread that I approve of that suggests improvements to these and many other skills. http://[Please Use QuickFind Code].com/c=-4395ea73/[Please Use QuickFind Code]. The link may not take you to the thread so use RSOF quickfind code 24-25-573-57125258 After youve read this thread please click on the link and suggest improvements or just bump it and help jagex see where theyve need to improve. Now onto the thread. Herblore, crafting, smithing, cooking and fletching. These 5 will be referred as the refining/secondary skills from now on. These all require raw materials to level and in the end create a usable product. Normally you should profit from refining right? But in Runescape it's not quite that way. In Runescape you actually LOSE money from using these skills. But you will say "Lol noob Subzero-x3 get your own materials." Well then you lose the potential to make money. I tried explaining this in Lightning but unfortunately failed. In this thread I will show you how and why secondary skills arent all that great anymore. Note that I said anymore, because earlier secondary skills used to be profitable and very useful. So let me smart out with the how. Herblore: I will show 2 popular potions. Prayer potion(which is low level) and saradomin brew(which is high level) Prayer Potion: Clean Ranarr-6,778>>> Snape Grass-382>>>>Total of all 3-7247 Vial of Water-87>>>> Prayer Potion (3)-6,689 Money lost-558 Saradomin Brew: Toadflax-2,327>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Crushed Bird Nest-3,915>>>>>>>>>>Total of all 3-6329 Vial of Water-87>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Saradomin Brew (3)-4,306 Money lost-2,023 "Silly subzero-x3, I am self-sufficient, I get everything myself." In response to that, you could have sold all the raw materials separately and bought the potion, thus saving money. Crafting: Dragonstone: 39k>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Wool-2 each at lunar isle>>>>>>-total of all 3-39,396 Enchant runes-394(if u have either water or earth staff)>> Amulet of Glory-39k Money lost-396 Smithing: Runite bar:13.7k*5=68.5k Rune Platebody-42.5k Money lost-26k!! Btw smithing adamant, mithril, steel, iron and bronze armour all result in losses. Cooking: Raw Lobster-315 Lobster-239 Money Lost-76 Raw Shark-1,076 Shark-921 Money Lost-155 So if youre a fisher, sell it raw, you make more profit. Fletching: Yew Logs-423>>>>>Total of both-603 Bowstring-180>>>>> Yew Longbow-587 Money lost-16 The unfortunate thing is that when I raised my fletching from 1-80, i actually made some decent money fletching yew longs.. Next up is the why: Did you know that back in RSC, have high smithing was an amazing way to get money? Yea, since very few people had high lvl smithing rune 2h's were over 1mil. But thats the problem, all these secondary skills have been crowded by people and now that there is too many people trying to "buy" their way to 99, secondary skills are no longer profitable. Ahhh...here comes the biggest argument.."But I want to get 99 in ___ stat or I wanna get my total up." But why do you want 99 in something that doesnt give you an advantage over me, and actually wastes money? And as for total, I think it's overrated, I mean c'mon who cares if you're 99 levels higher than me...all you did was burn 234342749234 more logs or cook 2342394789234 more lobsters. Next biggest argument...."Not everythings about money, I play to have fun!" Well I guess some peopls idea of fun is like putting 14 snape grass into vials or stringing bows, but really wouldnt it be better it putting 127645 snape grass into vials helped you in some way? I will add more responses to arguments. P.S Before you say, noob get your levels up then talk to me, I have 66 crafting, 80 fletching, 86 cooking, 57 herblore and 69 smithing. P.S.S I'm not bragging about those stats^, im just saying i have actually tried those skills..they seem average to me. Discuss :)
  12. chins ftw lol. and i love my spottier cape :D
  13. Lol that would be awesome.....graphics uptade and mourning ends part 3 back to back :D
  14. Lol fletching doesnt really change the game in any dramatic way either >.> But to each his own...actually fletching and rcing arent that important with infinite stocks in shops and monster drops.
  15. But why??? Do they feel proud that theyve wasted millions on getting a 99 that doesnt help them in anyway?...cooking,fletching,firemaking? I feel that combat is the most useful skill by far. Besides my total isnt that bad. Is 1730 total bad for someone with 116 cb? (im 108 w/o summonng btw)
  16. It seems pretty good so far but I think you need to think of some good drops. It would have to be amazing as with all that work if its a drop worth 10mil and theres 12-20 people fighting it..not worth the effort. Perhaps its a an ok rate, not too awesome but its drop rate would be high like 25% or something.
  17. I support except theres a few things you might wanna change. Firstly what gems would be used to tip dragon bolts? cause onyx is used on rune.. also why is it untradeable? some people only hunt these dragons for the item so that they can sell it and get rich...for exmaple i really dont like dragon full helms but i kill mith dragons so i can sell it..and personally it just doesnt go with the rest of dragon items...make it tradeable and ill support. otherwise its pretty good and thought out. also make it the best dropper for visage?
  18. Very good idea. I hatte having to buy double of an item so i dont lose its spot. but for people who dont wanna wast bank space maybe make shadows toggleable(sp)?
  19. Well I agree with you about quests and low combat.. but about it being harder to play the game at a low combat..not really. If you are mainly a skiller than you arent going into places that require combat. Whats so dangerous about getting 99 wcing and lvl 3 combat? Also if combat is more enjoyable then do combat..this game is about fun not who works harder :wall:
  20. Hmmm for someone who dislikes it, 70 isnt a bad level :P. But I dont plan on raising it above 68, imo bunyip and terrorbirds are gonna be my main summons.
  21. I turned into a girl for 1 week (for recruitment drive) and it was pretty nice. but its kinda creepy when guys are perverted over not so pretty rs pixels >.>
  22. So mining, woodcutting, firemaking, fishing, cooking, fletching, smithing...etc,etc arent just click here, win? Actually cooking/fletching are easier cause it's click here, wait 30 seconds, 30 wins :)
  23. But then you are a no-lifer...ah well you cant please everyone.
  24. But I was merely using asterisks..surely u cant report for that. so i guess ure half right :P
  25. My last clue was a top hat. nice 3mil...except its unsellable even at lowest price....anyone wanna buy?
