Incorrect. Feel free to post any evidence that visiting a website can give you a virus. Until then, I shall assume that you don't know something the rest of the world doesn't, and one still has to have an unpatched system\zero day vulnerability (HIGHLY unlikely), or click on something they shouldn't have. And all of those 3 require visiting a web site you shouldn't. Use SiteAdvisor (plugin for firefox :P ). Yeah, I know they have IE versions (and probably chrome by now). I read XCKD religiously. Chrome is basically as good as FireFox in my opinion, just a little more handy. Easier to save bookmarks, favourite pages. I personally find IE crap, only reason I was using it is because my parents dont regularly check the cookies on it... Adblock plus & firefox minefield = bye bye chrome. I couldn't live without my adblock... Minefield is very fast, I give you that. IMHO Firefox is one of the best browsers. Chrome however just has some extra handy features. I've got a vista 64 bit system, a ton of XP 32 bits, a couple of vista 32 bits, a 2000, a 98 (ew), a fedora, a ubuntu, and a knoppix. I run firefox on everything. The Gecko engine just blows everything away, after a few tweaks in about:config, and once you've tried adblock you'll never go back.

Yes, 103k per hour. Obviously that's for much higher stats, but so are my figures for other training places; they scale down to yours, and nothing will come anywhere close to armored zombies\green dragons.

You were using the general idea of vulnerabilities in IE, referencing the passage where he was discussing it with me. I disagreed, and spoke up. He did not get keylogged from visiting a website.

Never worked that well, and it really doesn't at all now; there's too few bots, and the ones that are are too smart.

It's the search engines reading and indexing the pages so that they can be searched from google.com or yahoo.com

He's saying he just visited a website and his password was 'scammed', not 'hacked'. I was arguing that that was HIGHLY unlikely, and he probably downloaded a file he shouldn't have or entered his password on the wrong website.

It could have been that I had been using IE. Using Chrome currently. What do you think of Chrome? I'm using Firefox. And IE could have vulnerabilities that are not yet known, any browser could. Statistically speaking, the chances of having an UNDISCOVERED vulnerability SPECIFICALLY TARGETED towards RUNESCAPE passwords that STILL hasn't been found and publicized are basically 0. Microsoft is fast with patches, and good at releasing information :-#

Yeah. I'll bet anything you'll run into stability and other weird problems undervolting the high end OCZ memory. You pretty much have to hit at least 2.3-2.4 (possibly higher if you overclock like I do; the stuff can handle it easily, and it's backed with that great overclocks warranty).
