Revernants still overpowered (for sure in F2P)
Here is a video I took of myself being attacked by a Knight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWD8LH08EiM As you can see, I turned on protect from range. It never hit through it, however IT DID FREEZE ME MORE THAN 1/2 THE TIME. In the 1:15 I was in contact with it, and had the range protect prayer on, I counted 23 attacks from the rev. 8 were range attacks, none hit for any damage, but 5 froze me. The other 15 were magic attacks. With next to the best magic armour, It hit me 10 times. That's 2/3 the time. Of those 10 hits, 6 of them were above 16, and none of those were below 19. In F2P, the best a PKer could have hit was 16 with magic. Every 3.25 seconds I was attacked by the rev. Every 13 Seconds, I was hit for more than 19. This would not happen in normal F2P pking. This is why revs are overpowered in F2P. All you demonstrated was their very short quick freeze attack that barely holds you for 1 round; this has already been mentioned. The sad part is that you were getting hit and running away, but had to keep running back to find it because as soon as you got a decent distance away it stopped attacking and lost interest. You could have easily hid behind a tree, hopped, or simply ran with no trouble whatsoever.

How Much is Your Account Worth to You?
finally a person who shares my dislike of exaggeration. It'd have to be a massive sum to get me to sell my account. Over 300 dollars worth of membership fees invested in it, not withstanding. Same here. ~650 USD for my account? No thanks, I don't have a pressing need for money, and selling something I enjoy and have spent a large amount of time on for a pittance isn't my plan.

Quitting: What to invest in?
Lower priced rares like that tend to be unstable, but haven't been rising in the long term. For an almost guaranteed profit that won't be much of a loss at worst, cash is really going to be your best bet.
-
Quitting: What to invest in?
Not advised. They've only been rising fairly recently, and when armadyl crashes so does robin. I'm waiting for Jagex to release an update to range boots, ranger boots have been king for too long. I wouldn't invest in them long long term.

Quitting: What to invest in?
I'd advise gee pee, as the drains from constuction\coinshare seem to be working very well, and there are many (much better) alternatives to alching, making the amount of GP in game lessen and the averagep rice of items drop as a result. Just a trend I've noticed.

Monsters for money and exp?
If you want awesome XP with decent drops, do armored zombies (100k XP\190k profit\80k in charms) If you want awesome drops with decent XP, do green dragons (45k XP\650k profit\200k in charms) Those two absolutely kill any other method, there's nothing even remotely close. Fire giants: ~70k XP, ~40k in drops.

Best range bonus?
He's not 70 Range. ;) He's training over 70, he can stick with blue d hide 61-70 8-)

jagex favors melee
D2h \ Complete waste. Terribly inaccurate, only get 1 spec, likely to deal much more damage with dd++\ags\d claws You are right, they are terrible, A hideous weapon. Doesn't change the fact that meleers can hit multiple targets  . And the price of beans in china is up 3 cents. Now, as I was saying, mage is the only combat style (that is worth using, happy?) that damage multiple players at once.

karils is an EPIC FAIL!
Dharoks? Not worth it at all, at the HP requred to decently DH (and still hit less then whip), your easily going to be 1 hit. And whip + defender is still better then veracs, so none of the specials are good for PVP.

Revernants still overpowered (for sure in F2P)
If I had any video equipment I would make it right away in a pvp world. I didn't get the stun, also u can see my prayer being "on" I did not photoshop this in any way. Why is it so hard for you to believe you are wrong? Because I've used this method many times to escape reverants. FWIW, you could easily flip on the prayer after the message appeared in the chat box; the only other explination that I can think of would be that different leveled reverants use different attack styles to freeze; try fighting the same reverant with protect from magic. Prayer protects from damage 100%, and they only have one style of freezing attacks; teleblock is magic, freezing darts (the ice darts) are range. They hit right through prayer, even if you keep the same prayer style, let's say range, they will hit you with a range attack right through your prayer. And as I said I am not that low I have to change a picture to make my opinion count. This is an actual picture of a revernant attack, hich only attacked for 1 minute, hit me with his ice range attack and froze me. Is it so hard to beleive that what you say might not be 100% true? I also had once 2 revs attacking me at the same time at a single combat spot.... so... U think Jagex is fair? Yes, reverants can attack in multiples in a single combat zone, but I haven't heard, or seen, them hitting through prayer; they are monsters, and prayer protects 100%. Obviously you were hit with a non-range attack to freeze you in that picture, as it hit on you - you either turned range prayer on afterwords, or the attack was magic based.

Range Haters United!
My slash defence in my range outfit is 326. Ever seen what dd++ specs look like on super setted 99 defence with 300+ stab defence? Here's a hint: The defence is considerably higher then veracs.

Revernants still overpowered (for sure in F2P)
Either your: A: Putting on range prayer after getting hit OR B: Getting the quick '1 second stun' from magic. How good a Revernant is at 1 v 1 means nothing; your not fighting it. I still have my doubts about you calmly mining rune while a 126 attacks you; perhaps you could show a video of this so that I could believe it?

You could say that about every single f2p rant... If you had stats like his with a 100% f2p status, would you get members? Thanks Kingjoe, I would also like to add that this wasn't an f2p rant, I told what i saw from my side of vieuw and I have no idea how revernants are related to p2p-ers concerning strength and fairness, I just told my side of vieuw and I hate it every time an f2p-er rants about something (which they have right to, we are all here to improve the game, aren't we?) some p2p-er that got stamped on his family jewels too much appears trying to do some f2p bashing.... Stop it for once, and listen to the point beyond paying for the game. He had given up on the point of the rant, so we were offering alternate viewpoints. I can repeat the fact that made his entire thread invalid: Reverants are stupid, anyone with decent intelligence can hide behind a tree, getting hit at most once for a max of 25-30 damage; far less powerful then old-style PKers.

Volatile/Morphic items.
ye varrock armour is cool, when you mine 2 ores at once from varrock armour it only use up one charge of the sc pickaxe...youget even more exp...for the same charge due to the varrock armour... Doesn't matter. You can get 3 pickaxes, or 7,140 extra XP in an hour; that's 21,420 XP as the break even point. Even powermining granite is 40k+ XP; the pickaxe is by FAR not woth using.

What? As I said before, the sole purpose of FTP is to get people to buy members so that Jagex can make money :|

jagex favors melee
well theres far more chance of getting pjed by some ranger with dbow then with a melee with dclaws the meleer would have to stand next 2 you and that way u can forsee hell pj u or he will have to run to u as comp has explained... the ranger just specs u from just outside ur minimap and then ur most of the time totaly doomed. wont be first time i lose my kill or get owned before i even understand whats happening D bow can't 1 hit 99 hp, and it's not outside the minimap; the farthest d bow range is well within the camera, and you have plenty of time to tele (if it's a lucky almost KO spec) or eat before he can get another shot off. i kno i cant hit 99 but as u kno, mostly pll dont have 99 hp either... and if ur fighting some1 ur ph will more likely be around 50-60 and thats something u can hit with dbow As we were referring to in the first post, we are discussing near maxed players; at any rate, someone your level is not going to be fighting in void, and probably won't even have 99 range.

Slayer Sucks
Slayer, as a skill, doesn't suck. I really enjoy it, it's one of my favorite skills. Slayer, as a method of training combat, sucks. It's a horrible way to train, wasting 100s of potential millions on the long road to 99.

Don't forget, we ALL started from F2P mate. ;) Point being? FTP = server costs for Jagex, virtually no revenue. The sole goal of FTP is to get people to sign up for members. On the contrary, over the course of its years of existence, 'Advertising'(I am assuming it means F2P) has accounted for about 7-9% of Jagex's total revunue, which is insignificant compared to the revenue generated from P2P subscriptions, but it is certainly more than 'virtually no revenue', and not to mention the potential for revenue to be generated from F2P exists because they are 'potential members'. Except that that revenue has absolutely zero to do with server\operating costs, and given that FTP accounts for 5/6ths the server load (5 million active FTP, 1 million members), we can safely assume that FTP is most likely operating at a loss.

Treasure Trail Rewards.....
Because 'logic' and 'randomness' are complete opposites. If the drops were 'random', you could do a billion clues and get, say, 1 robin, then do a billion more and get 900 million. However, somewhere in Jagex towers is a number defining what your chances of a robin are - if they are 1 in 100, and you do 1 billion clues, you will get almost precisely 10 million robins. This means that the system is ordered, logical, and operating on probability, not 'random luck'. It simply appears that way with too small of a sample size.

Fastest way to train magic?
I might try Barraging in the ape atoll dungeon. I'm sure I'll get charms for 99 through slayer anyway. Already at 80 summoning, with charms for 83 (I got 88 attack, 89 strength, and 87 defence) in the end, I might stick with rock lobsters to 97/98, but I'll probably go Ape atoll dungeon after that. You cannot efficiently ice barrage in ape atoll dungeon; you have to use more expensive spells (usually blood barrage), meaning that you'll max out 99 magic long before you hit 99 summoning and end up spending even more money and time.

Treasure Trail Rewards.....
No such thing as random in a computer game. Whatever you say. :? Random, as in, a lack of order, purpose, cause, or predictability. Utterly impossible to produce in a computer, as it a logical system; the only thing that can achieve close to that is something like a thermal noise measurement, which is not in and of itself a part of the computer system. A computer cannot produce a random number, period.
