  1. Not at all. You get an advanced warning, the animation, and the specials are actually 2 separate sets of hits that you can eat\tele in between, making the d claws much less of a 'surprise' weapon then other specials.
  2. No such thing as random in a computer game. This is true. Edit; There is luck, obviously. No randomness though. Luck implies randomness (i.e "an unknown and unpredictable phenomenon that causes an event to result one way rather than another"); probability is a better word. Believe me, I hammered this out in SirHemen's clan chat
  3. It does for anything you use it to make, i.e. oak larders\dungeon doors
  4. Smithing, construction, possibly woodcutting.
  5. The numbers I quoted are for how much XP you'd get without the tool, THEN doubled - the ones others are giving are with the numbers already doubled, meaning they appear twice as large :P
  6. Let 'em have the 2.5%, they can survive Not that anyone I know buys stuff from the store :| Still, I suppose they could drop the tax...
  7. No such thing as random in a computer game.
  8. I've got a better idea, for the month or so I spend training to 99 strength I'll buy a chestplate, then resell it afterward for a loss of a few hundred K. Other then that, I can easily make 1m+ an hour at GWD\DKs, making the 8-10 hours it took for torso fairly easy to raise that much money. Besides that, I'm better off buying an addy chainbody. I can save myself time and money.
  9. Yup, I'm 99.8% sure it does.
  10. Stunning = 350k cost per hour, 90k XP per hour Bursting = 800k cost per hour, 180k XP per hour, 100s of charms NP, glad I could help. That failing, you can revert to bursting as I advised. You forgot his friends to wear melee armour True, add full bronze to all of that.

  12. Nooo, this is going all wrong. I took another look at your math and realized it was pretty much right, althought it's hard to make any accurate calculations when the combat is so random. I need to spend more time on my posts... :-# It's all about the averages, baby...
  13. http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarticle.ws?article_id=836 :-w For the lazy: Stealing Creation Points Reward Points 0 - 19,999 points 1 per 1,000 Stealing Creation Points 20,000 - 21,999 points 20 22,000 - 25,999 points 21 26,000 - 33,999 points 22 34,000 - 49,999 points 23 50,000 - 81,999 points 24 82,000 - 145,999 points 25 146,000+ points 26
  14. Oh yes, I forgot the math that doesn't cover accuracy, defence or hitpoints which all should be considered. Sorry. Err, what? Accuracy = exactly the same with torso and chainbody, defence = +61 crush vs +65, hitpoints = never counted in training, as they will be 99 long before you hit the 135m break even XP.
  15. What? That's not efficient! :o :P What? To elaborate, if you had to drink even one dose of prayer potion per hour, it wouldn't be worth it For the sake of argument, we'll assume that you don't need a dose with either - my math proved that, unless your getting over 135 million XP, adamant chainbody is better then torso due to the time you get for the very small XP boost.
  16. Then you met one of those cannoners with double digit IQs trying to cannon in an empty world :-# Can't really say much for them besides saying that cannoners have the same percentage of them as every other type of RS player..
  17. 130 2000 90+ 200+
  18. I didn't say it was a crowded world, It was a crowded spot. How am I hogging it anyway if I'm sharing it with 4 other people? If it was a crowded spot, I'm assuming it was one of the 1900+ worlds where a cannoner has to be; meleers can split up the empty worlds with no XP loss, but a cannoner will get far less XP there.
  19. I tested it just moments ago and couldn't see any difference. Where did you read it? Compfreak: So as a experienced flicker you can say that fighter torso is useful with piety at weaker monsters, eh? Nope, I can still say that I prefer proslyte, as I end up using a few doses of prayer potion anyway. Not that I can think of many monsters where I do it while meleeing, but still...
  20. In tests, it boost the drop rate by roughly 5%; this only works for rare drops, so if your fighting something that drops a rare but good drop (i.e. boss monsters) use it; if your fighting something like avansies, with no good rare drops, it's not really worth using. But it won't decrease your profitable drops.
  21. A little this morning during pc, was running low on prayer at the end; did a lot of it yesterday on a bandos trip. Why?
  22. Yup. Because you can't factor in, with mathmatical certainty, the network conditions of every computer between you and Jagex towers, you have to guess (i.e. estimate: judge tentatively or form an estimate of) when the exact moment you should flick it on is; too late, and you won't get the prayer effect until after the hit, too early and you'll waste prayer points. Something that can only be learned by experience, which I have quite a bit of.
  23. I was talking about a single incident. -.- I was just frustrated at that point and was trying to finish off the few kills I had left. Why should I hop worlds for some inconsiderate jerk that thinks he has the right to take over a spot 4-5 other players were sharing with no problems. He could have at least hopped to a less crowded spot, no? And got half the XP on a less populated world? No thanks, if your going to hog a full world he has every reason to make you hop.
  24. There's your problem. And I do use whip on the tasks I listed. Err, I'm assuming you were referring to my 70 hours 'guesstimate', meaning I haden't timed it and it was probably between 65-75 hours.
  25. From the determining if sc tools are worth using thread. That's true Volatile tools aren't worth it; they revert every 10%, which is way too short, and are a pain to keep a huge stock just so you can train one skill for a while.
