Slayer Sucks
Yes, but many prefer the ends to the means - training to high levels means access\improved versions of things like Castle Wars and GWD, which some may prefer to killing monsters endlessly; I'm simply saying you can achieve that high level status faster if you kill armored zombies instead of slayer monsters.

Catch-22,Deffered Appeals.
Actually that isn't true, the deferred marks are still left on my account, I am not able to appeal their cause, and if I ever get like 7 black marks I will be able to appeal them, they do count. I'm afraid you missed his point. They will count if you have 7, but you can then appeal them; the number of blackmarks does not matter unless it exceeds 10 and you are banned, so you never have to worry about this offense besides the inconvenience of the mute. Nah I got the point of his post. If you read my earlier post I think having blemishes on my record is fairly frustrating with the only way of removing them being to put more blackmarks, this is the point of my post. What do you mean by 'blemishes on your record'? The only person that can see them is you...

whats so bad about the quest cape?
My friend went from 190 quest points to 276 in a weekend, definately not a hard cape. Wait he got a level 3, trained all the stats high enough to do every quest, and finished them all in a weekend? Because my friend went from 98-99 smithing in a day, obviously not a hard skill.. Any experienced skiller should have levels to complete every quest. It's not a hard skill your comparison is completely irrelevant. Read his comments he says that quests require skill and logic, then how do people get 80 quest points in a day or two? What does the 'experienced skiller' part have to do with anything? I can guarantee that the quest cape takes longer then certain 99s, IE cooking. RFD alone is at least 10 hours of questing; over 2m cooking XP could easily be obtained in that period of time. Questing isn't a skill, questing is a side goal that should be maintained as you train skills, as you unlock the appropriate skills you do the quest, if you have the skills it is already insanely easy. Not true. Questing takes longer then some skill 99s.

Revernants still overpowered (for sure in F2P)
They have a 1 second stun with magic, is this what you mean? They freeze with range mate. Sure abut the 1 second stun with magic? It's pretty rare if they do, but even green d hide should negotiate this (very tiny) threat...

Slayer Sucks
First of all, slayer is the only skill in which training it sacrifices large amounts of XP in another skill, in this case combat; secondly, I created this post to combat the continuous stream of 'train slayer' posts whenever someone asked what the best method to train combat is. That is wrong; if you enjoy slayer, by all means train it, but you will be wasting 100s of millions in lost time by doing so, making slayer one of the most 'expensive' 99s, and a very bad way to train combat. And it seems to have worked; I haven't seen nearly as many 'train slayer' posts, with over 4,000 views on this thread. But if you take another point of view, the time spent training Thieving could be spent in time training Agility, or another useful skill. And you're right, there are too many people who believe Slayer is the best in terms of Charms, money, and xp, when it's bad in all 3. But that's not what I'm saying; I'm saying that slayer is a very inefficient way to train combat, despite the common misconception that it is. Combat is an extremely good way to train slayer, however.Unless you find another way I'm gonna train slayer through combat. Point being? Slayer is only trained for fun, as a waste of time; if you want to train combat, look elsewhere.

Fighter Torso Discussion/Argument Thread
Err... if it's safe PVP, they should be wearing barrows, if it's a place where they lose it, they should be wearing barrows or a rune plate..

Slayer Sucks
Which is why I said... Yes, but slayer is innately connected to combat; your in combat, doing virtually the same thing (smacking a monster upside the head with your whip), but your getting less XP, drops, charms etc. because of it.

Fighter Torso Discussion/Argument Thread
Amen. I went there once, on the day of the release, and got so fed up with all the idiots that didn't know what they were doing, and the game itself, that I never went back. Plus its a huge waste of time.

Fighter Torso Discussion/Argument Thread
Tell why not... Because the barrows plate surpasses it in any area that requires defence, and proslyte top surpasses it in any place that requires offense (+10% prayer). Even at the best training spot, Armored Zombies, proslyte is actually better due to the less frequent prayer charging required. Even hypothetically assuming that we ignore the defence and prayer bonus shortcomings, torso provides roughly (120/4)*2)/100 = .6% faster XP. Assuming it takes 8 hours to learn BH, find a team, and actually get the torso (conservative; I've found that it usually takes over 10 in total time), your spending 8 hours to get .6% faster XP. Therefore, the 99.4% of full XP you would normally get from training for those 8 hours is the equivalent of 7.95 hours of training with a torso; because torso boosts XP by .6%, we can divide 7.95 by .006 for 1325 hours, the amount of training required to make torso worth getting over adamant chainbody (most monsters, including armored zombies, use a crush attack where chainbody is superior). 1325 hours = 132,500,000 XP training at Armored Zombies, along with 251,750,000 GP of profit. So, if you plan on camping for more then 132.5 million XP, torso is worth getting over adamant chainbody. Of course, proslyte plate would blow it right out of the water, and to a lesser extent, bandos - the +1 prayer would by far make up for the cost over the millions of XP, and it can be resold, unlike the figher torso. The torso is entirely unsuitable for PVP, or indeed, any activity besides training, so those need not be considered. Bottom line: Adamant Chainbody is superior to Fighter Torso unless you intend to train for over 132,500,000 XP (132.5 million) XP; if you include rune\bandos\proslyte in that order, they will all by FAR trump the torso. Any other questions? (Yet another campaign against stupidity and endless parroting of incorrect hearsay. I swear, I could keep a template of my top 10 posts, and copy and paste it into 90% of the threads I post on.) Are forgetting that some people love that game? Sure I think that's it's a huge waste of time but if you really want too get and like the mini-game then he can do it. Maybe not everybody does everything from a it's the "best" standpoint. I do agree though. Skip it unless you love the game. It's not worth it, it's a massive waste of time. Unless your willing to sacrifice 800k XP + 1.6m GP for the fun of playing 8 hours of BH - totally understandable, if you enjoy the game, but not if you want to train.

Catch-22,Deffered Appeals.
http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... cle_id=728 Makes perfect sense. No one but you can see black marks, and the only time it matters is when your close to being banned, in which you will be able to do it, like the system says. Appeals are checked usually by bots, not jmods. It doesn't make much sense to me that I need to be closed to banned before I am given a chance to redeem myself. And jagex moderators can also see how many black marks I have, just so you know . Anywho, The system would suggest that innocent players have to endure the knowledge that they have been muted(or reprimanded) unfairly and that there is nothing they can do about it,seems unfair to me. Then either Jagex has some sort of Turing-beating superbots hidden in their towers, or they have a mod check over reports and simply automate the responses. In my experience they have always been accurate and true; I get stuck with things I really did, no matter how eloquent the appeal (yeah, I've tried), but they also clear up incorrect reports quickly.

Combat XP isn't a byproduct of slayer XP, it's the other way round. As I said about total levels, it's much more efficient to train slayer around level 80 if you want to argue about total levels. I don't consider 83 slayer a 'blemish' to my almost maxed melee stats. No, you can train slayer without gaining combat xp, not the other way around. So, combat xp is a byproduct of training slayer. Technically, byproduct refers to a (generally unwanted or not intended to produce) product, but the main goal is combat XP for the argument in my thread; as stated before, the worth and value of slayer XP cannot be determined, as it is essentially worthless beyond the level required for efficient total levels, meaning the only measurements (fun) are quantitative; this argument is therefore about combat XP. [/hide] By your logic there are tons of skills that are worthless, all of them whose results can be duplicated. See my above response to Inushkant's post. Since when have I ever let 'the norm' change my posts :x

Fighter Torso Discussion/Argument Thread
To make it even simpler, the defense/accuracy doesn't make up for the very little 2 str + time lost. To make it simpler still: Adamant Chainbody > Fighter Torso Yeah, simple as that. Period. End of story. Not sure why this thread lives on. Youre like one of my biggest rolemodels on tif I love it how you absolutely smash theories with the maths \ \ Thanks :P A lot of people hate me for that same reason though

Zuriel hood.
Not likely. Not much you can do with it unless you have underpriced items you can sell with it.
-
Time is money - but is it in RuneScape?
Your wrong. It's all about what requires the least amount of total time; that fishing cape might not include level 92 prayer, but the time saved can make up for it - shilo is an especially good example, as it is much more efficient then other methods of fishing, like sharks, that earn money.

D2h \ Complete waste. Terribly inaccurate, only get 1 spec, likely to deal much more damage with dd++\ags\d claws

PVP drop tables
Yes it is, I've seen it. It seems like you need at least a few hours, but your drop value goes down fast and most of the drops at the top table are dragonstone stuff like combat bracelets.

Catch-22,Deffered Appeals.
Hence the term Catch-22, it's a ridiculous idea that gives more freedom to those with higher amounts of blackmarks, personally I would like to appeal as you go. Odd, I've never heard of it. Sounds annoying though, but at least you can't get banned...
-
Catch-22,Deffered Appeals.
Wait... so they won't let you appeal it until your unmuted again? If so, that's annoying, but what's the offense? The few times I've been unfairly muted I was able to quickly appeal and lift the mute... They will never let me appeal it unless I do more offenses, and the offense was rule 1. What do you mean? There's no 'appeal offense' link or what?
