  1. Do you mean "Smithing" (pounding a bar with a hammer to make it into armor or a weapon, or "Smelting", using an ore with a furnace in order to smelt it into a bar? Smelting is the only one that can fail, but smithing converts the 200gp each bars into worthless iron armor/weapons, unless your a member and can make iron throwing knives. Either way, don't do either of those, as you are not a member.
  2. Phewph, glad to know I can. It'll help relieve the boredom as I cook lobbys for (92/99) cooking and eventually get 99 fletching. Thanks to all who posted, question answered this can be locked.
  3. Yes, it still is. Transferring items between two accounts owned by the same person is illegal, no matter how you do it.
  4. Yes, you could smelt it, but without rings of forging (members), you will fail one half of the smelts. Iron armor is impossible to sell, so knives are the only option, and they are members.
  5. Look for buyers on the forums, then PM them. You can still browse the forums, although you cannot post on them when you are F2P.
  6. Yew longs or steel plates (lose even more per alch) are really your only option. Since the skill capes came out, alching has gotten more expensive :(
  7. Train your combat to 29+ - once you are twice the scorpian's level, they will stop attacking you. Once you mine the ore, just sell it for 100gp each.
  8. Looks funny when your holding it too  - it's the only weapon who's weight is visually represented.
  9. Mine in the Chasm mine. Nearly everyones mining is higher then their smithing, as smithing is expensive to train and does not make any profit. (often the ores/bars for smithing cost more then the smithed materials, with the exception of smelting steel bars)
  10. Yews: only about 1/2 the money, but 1-2/3 faster xp. Go with mages if you want money, Yews for a balance of the two, and willows for fast xp/low money.
  11. Untill your max hit is higher then the monks hp, I would say yes. They are 1 defense or so, have 15 hp, heal themselves, and are level 5. A low level pure's dream :D
  12. Nah, I won't die, I check every 30 seconds. Not to mention i've found that the full karils w/ zammy book and d scimmy can own any combat random except for plant
  13. Yes, I would suggest mining instead of woodcutting at your level. Even at 60 woodcutting, you only earn about 50-60k an hour with yews (lots of autoers in f2p), but mining is easy to level and provides you with a nice income at a low level. (mine iron with the best pick you have till 40)
  14. I'm wondring if it is legal to browse forums while doing something tedious (i.e. fishing or cooking) I'm pretty sure it is, but wanted to make sure. because that's what i'm doing right now
  15. Get your range/mage as high as you can without raising your combat level. A higher level in those stats gives you better defense against those kinds of attacks, and the extra hp xp is good. If you want to get high strength (70+), get attack to 40 for a rune scimmy.
  16. 44 runecrafting is easy to get at world 16 airs, and prayer can be raised quickly with a friend at 67 construction. I say use them on farming (that's what I did), as it is a skill you can't "buy" your way to fast xp.
  17. Tip.It's guide is located here
  18. Yep, I remember trying to put a glory (1) into the wall, then spending hours trying to find out why it wouldn't work.
  19. Willows only sell to the store for around 2-6gp each (not sure of exact price). if you want to sell them, selling them to players for around 30 each is a much better option. Rasing your mining to 40 for a rune pick then mining iron is probably your best bet for money. Good xp, too.
  20. The firemaking cape looks sweet, and it's not that expensive if you burn willows/maples... However, firemaking is a "useless" skill, and the agility emote looks neat also. Slayer is unique, but cannot be "bought" and has a very slow xp gain rate. Runecrafting is good - balancing FFL and nat crafting makes for a good xp gain with no money loss. Also, runecrafting has amazing profit and easy xp (runners) at 91, and the cape is rare.
  21. I say santa, many rich people buy around Christmas as "presents" for their friends. Not to mention, I never liked the looks of Halloween masks...
  22. Go back in from the swamp through the wooden doors, then talk to Veliaf.
  23. Your tree will go back, but not if you dig up the roots by using a spade with the patch shortly after the tree has been cut down.
  24. Chasm mine silver is good, when your on a full world, the 4 ores respawn nearly as fast as you can mine running in between them, and the bank is fairly close. I used to mine all my silver for crafting here....
  25. You can still get banned for it...
