Log in forever??!!
Well I remember that in a duel, if you X out, it logs out after a minute. I don't know if it was changed since I don't duel but I remember it was a problem. You wouldn't stay logged in forever, it can't happen. It would eventually log out.
-
Log in forever??!!
I believe you are auto logged after a minute once the screen is closed, even if your under attack.

If you could...
probably construction for the same reason. And to make everything else in my house that i need really quick (I'd have the supplies when I activated it :) )

We can't pick and choose, all 3rd party programs should be banned, end of story. Last I checked, being able to switch worlds faster than others is taking advantage of the system. I'll say it again, collectively for like the 50th time, it does not allow you to get into worlds faster. It also does not allow you into worlds that are full. Jagex set the 30 second limit onto the worlds to prevent this. You have to wait just as long as everyone else to switch worlds. It's not just about the world switcher either, the program has everything conveniently placed at your fingertips. MS paint, auto cropping for pics, calcs for everything, quest guides for everything, skill guides for everything, basicly, all the guides and cals tip.it has with a few more. This does not give ingame advantages which is what Jagex is against. There is nothing wrong with liking convenience. Muggiwhiplar is right is saying that the non-SS'ers are loosing this debate purely because they dont know enough about it to put up a good argument. They go mostly by what they hear. No. I've seen it used on several occasions. Plus, if it wasn't faster, why would people use it? After all its called "SWIFTswitch" for a reason, eh? Did you not read the rest? Most of the reason I use it is not for the world switching, and I'm not sure what you saw, but the timer still goes down the same as it does for anybody else. I use SS for IRC and for all of its conveniently placed calculators and easy picture taking. If you don't want to use it due to a security issue thats fine but don't say that it gives an advantage to player ingame because you are wrong.

Whats contradictory about it? It doesn't give unfair advantages in game, and thats what the rules state. Jagex made the rule against 3rd party clients because they believed they had keyloggers. They don't allow you to get into worlds faster, they dont contain autoing programs or anything that IS illegal. All they do is combine all the guides, calcs, highscores, and photocropping into one, easy to use program. Like Trojann said, it the same as having mIRC, tip.it, and all sorts of other things up at the same time, but all condensed. If you would like to explain my contridictory statement, feel free. I'm not one to break Jagex's rules, I respect there rules and when they are in place, I follow them. If you don't like the program thats fine. I've done enough to know that it is safe and to know that it is a great tool to use. I always follow jagex's rules and am currently not using it. But once it is legal I will use it again.

Convenience at the cost of violating a rule/exploiting a grey area? Alright then. I won't debate it with you beyond that point. Thanks for respecting my decision, but under no premise am I aruging about security. I'm only debating about the long standing rule that Jagex has written (and enforced so many times) that is being trampled over. You can tell me it wasn't against the rules because it didn't give you an advantage, but it was meant to. It makes things somewhat convienent, as muggiwhplar said himself. Convenience can be seen as an unfair advantage to those of us that don't trust this source. Again, I care not for security, but for the integrity of the rules that Jagex has set before us. Doesn't anyone really pay attention to those anymore? Or is everyone still hell-bent on looking for a loophole to keep using this program? If you type 30WPM, perhaps you should take typing courses. People pay secretaries somewhat near $13.75/hr if they type over 55WPM or even higher. You can also always upgrade your internet line to DSL at least. Lastly, this is what Mod Burgess had to say about the rioters: 1. The medium-high level gear you've described (Mage short, Iban Staff, Dragon Dagger) all were earned through hard work using the LEGITIMATE way, NOT through a third party. 2. The abilities that I have acquired throughout the game are a direct result of me training them up tirelessly, and not through a third party. 3. If you want to be a high level, you're stuck with two options: Do it the long way or become a member. This again, has NOTHING to do with a third party client. Have you ever tryed it? From the way your sounding you haven't. It did not, and soon it will not break any of Jagex's rules (at the moment it does because they updated it, however it did not before). It just brings helpful tools closer together. I certaintly could survive fine without the program but it just makes the game more enjoyable for all that use it. It gives zero ingame advantages in any way.

If you have never tried SS, as Muggi said, you should try it. It has no keyloggers. I was a little scared about trying it at first but eventually tried it. I was kinda freaked out so I scanned it in it's [Caution: ExecutableFile] file, nothing, I scanned it 5 times with 3 different programs as well as my computer, nothing. Also, the creator, Strider, does not even play anymore. He would not give up the good name of his program for a few measly pixels for a game that he doesn't even play. Plus, he is a very nice guy who just wants to make the gaming experience much better for everyone. I am a security nut when it comes to my account's safety so you can take it from me that that is program is safe. Once you try it your pretty much sold to it. After about 30 minutes of using it I was amazed, thinking "why did I not try this before???!?!?". Once the program has been updated, I advise everyone to try it. You WILL love it.

What are your most exciting moments on Runescape?
When I got a d chain drop from a dust devil. At the time it was just being whispered about and more people believed that they didn't drop them then people that did. I sold it for 32m and unfortunately forgot to take a screenshot so nobody believed me :x . When I saw it on the floor I almost passed out :XD: That chain helped me get 85 slayer, and the rest is history.

85 slayer or 91 runecraft?
91 rcing. Slayer, unfortunatly, is pretty much dead (when it comes to abyssal demons). It's still fun to train though :)

Only the idiots got hacked from it. And they got hacked in the same manner they would have ingame. Giving away there password on IRC.

Finally found another decent sig quote. ------ Listening to the masses of players that were protesting isn't anywhere close to constructive. What happened to the days of old, when Rule 7 was enforced so strictly that more than half of the players were banned for that particular rule...? When those people started spamming and swearing immediately temporary bans should have been placed on anyone who talked recently. then they should have weeded through everything banning all of those people who broke the rules. If you were there and did not do anything, I DON'T CARE. Ever heard one of Aesop's fables? No? let me tell you a particular one: There was a farmer whose crops were being eaten and destroyed. So one day he set up a trap and catches a bunch of ravens, in the bunch there was also a stork. The stork pleaded for his life saying he had a family and friends, and that he didn't do anything. The farmer responded with "You were in there company, so you will receive the same fate as they do". Now that isn't perfect, word for word copy of the fable, but I hope you get the gist of it. If you were stupid enough to go down there with those people then you should have at least been temp punished. wow talk about a Totalitarianist tactic. I'll make this plain and simple for all to understand: SS was NOT illegal before the rules were modified. Jagex changed there mind, it is still illegal currently Strider is working on an update for the program (due out this weekend) which will be legal. Jagex would not deal out bans to people for protesting and ranting. They have a rants board for a reason. I'm glad that Jagex listened.

You've got to be kidding. This gave me alot more respect for Jagex. In the past, they have no listened to what people want and just throw it off. This time, they actually took the time to listen and are willing to compromise on the subject. It shows that the company is maybe, finally growing up. If a company is not going to listen to what the people have to say then they aren't going to satisfy the collective minds of the people, and the collective minds said that SS should be allowed and so it was done. GOOD JOB JAGEX :D On the topic of the modification update. The only real reason I could see that Jagex has against it was the IRC client. People were giving out there passwords and getting hacked. I think the IRC client will be removed or modified but I cant see anything else that would be changed.

Wakka's Rune Mining Method
This is explained in the guide. If auto retaliate is off, you will mine the ore as normal, however, the animation will not show. So, as it may look like your guy is not mining the ore (he is doing the animation of being attacked by something) he is still mining the ore. Test it out yourself, put on melee prayer, turn off auto retaliate, and then click the rock. You will still mine it :) . If I follow what your saying right...that is terrible advice. You wait for the ore to respawn? I could understand that if you were doing high alchemy or something but if your mining for profit, 100% of rune miners switch worlds to find spawns. You dont want to wear a full prayer set because the boots, gloves, and capes dont give high enough prayer bonuses to make a difference. The more items you were on you the less ores you can carry each trip. Great guide. Thanks for sharing your secret. By keeping a scratch pad with respawn times, I can mine 100 ores at Heroes in about 4 hrs. The second 100 would take less time since I've already found the spawns, but I've never been able to take the concentration needed for longer than that. :P This method seems like it would be a whole lot less stressful, unless of course it also becomes packed with miners. One thing I don't understand. Why does wearing more prayer armor (and carrying a d mace, for example) mean less ores? Is there a weight limit in RS that I'm not aware of? If so, what is it? Thanks again for the great advice. I'll be trying it myself with teletabs. Because of the full mourners suit. You have to take it with you in order to get to the rock. The more prayer Items you take, more clothing items you have to carry in your inventory. Thats why its good to prioritize what to take. Is it good to take a pair of gloves that only give a +1 or +2 prayer bonus while you could actually hold another ore in that spot? Its only necessary to take the key items. What if you took a few caged imps to send the mourners outfit to your bank? Would the prayer bonus be worth it then? You could even bring enough imps for extra rune ores. Then you would be staying longer and probably need your prayer to last longer. You could certainly do that, and I talk about using it for ores towards the end. However, the gloves, boots, etc. don't boost your prayer enough to have an effect on your prayer drain. I only use 1-2 doses per trip anyway. At a lower prayer lvl you might use 3-4 which is still less then 1 ore. A rune ore is around 11.5k and a prayer potion is (I don't know for sure) 5-6k? So, its really not that necessary.

Amen bro. I love the program and I'm glad that I'll be able to use it again. I'm not going to use it however until the updates are made. I'm not going to take any risks :(

Wow. I am amazed and surprised with Jagex. I've never known them to go back on there word. I am extremely happy though as I loved the program and Jagex has inspected it (or they never would have allowed it). So maybe we will see more people in #tip-it :D

Survey: RuneScape Banning, Appeals, and the Report System
I agree with you 100%. If you other people don't get punished why not join them. Although i've never tried autoing because it would ruin fun for me and i'd quit it sounds right. It's kinda of like stealing. All the kids at school jack candy from cafeteria and never get caught, why not you do the same? Of course some of them DO get caught and get expelled, whatever. Btw i do wana know why u go banned for item scamming, Oh ok this is totally ducking retarted. - I told my friend: this is ducking redicilous and some wanabe mod reported me. - Mod showed up (!!!) i said: Hey you mod give me your password, some 2 mods wanabe reported me for ITEM SCAMMING! how ducking redicilous is that? i was joking, who in the right mind would ask for mod's password? - I read that jagex don't unbann you if you write to them saying "suicide". So i decided to get rid of my 9.8 black marks i wrote "suicide" and got permantly banned on my lvl 88 with 1350+ total! RIDICILOUS! lol. Its impossible to tell sarcasm on a game. And it seems that everything you for banned for/did had a justified reason. From what you said I'm glad you got banned.

sorry but you are wrong. They were only illegal when it gave you an advantage ingame. It did not give you an advantage ingame. Therefore, it was not illegal, they just did not encourage the use of it. Actually it did give u an advantage but it wasnt enough for the longest time for them to do anything about for what i understand. But as of recently idk whats made them change there stance. All I can do is guess that they found somthing *appearntly with the chat* that they didnt like. So now its bye bye SS It did not help you ingame. Therefore it did not give advantages. It just condenced guides and things so they were closer together. Ingame, there were no advantages. The world switcher did not allow you to bypass the 30 second world switching limit. It just made it easier to get to the screen but you still had to wait as long as anybody to login. There isn't much I can do about it. I'm just sad to see such a great program go to waste because some stupid kids told someone there passwords over IRC.

Even I used SS..Over half of runescape uses SS. Have you seen how many downloads it has on the Zybez site? its over 750,000 I think. It was an amazing program and I'm sad to see it go. I think ALOT of people are going to be complaining on the main site about this. SS IS SAFE. I've scanned it and I scan it every update. I've never had any trouble with it. If you download it from the main Zybez website it is perfectly safe. I think Jagex needs to make a client like SS. With simple world switching and all.
