If I follow what your saying right...that is terrible advice. You wait for the ore to respawn? I could understand that if you were doing high alchemy or something but if your mining for profit, 100% of rune miners switch worlds to find spawns. You dont want to wear a full prayer set because the boots, gloves, and capes dont give high enough prayer bonuses to make a difference. The more items you were on you the less ores you can carry each trip. I did not mine all of those at once. I mined 100 of them and sold them to my permanent buyer whenever I needed a bit of money. But, if you mined for 5 days straight and the place is still as quiet as it was when I used it, then I'm sure you will get more then 1k in that allotment of time.

Dunno, it was just the craziest thing, I died 3 times, my friend was scouting worlds for me and found a lvl 120+ in every world he went to. My friend with 99 rcing then got pked as well...

I can take pride is saying that the only 99 I got from pc (I was 97 when i started :o ) was ranged. Everything else came from slayer :)

Good theory accept you stereotype the high level players too much. It seems to me that the low to middle class players are usually the ones like that. It doesnt take much time to get high level, it just takes sticking to one thing whenever your online rather then jumping around :)

Lol :P Maybe a clan who's trying to ruin abyss pker's christmas O:) I've spent almost 4 hours total today getting pouches back. I guess today would be a good day to get 71 hunter. Its NEVER like this, I've never seen it like this. it would seem that way..

I've done hundreds of runs through the abyss. I've never run into a single pker that could get me at 126 cb. Today, I've managed to die 3 times. I told some of my friends and they';ve been scouting worlds. There seem to be players between 115-124 on almsot every server abyss pking today. I'm wondering, is there a reason for this? My only guess would be that since its christmas day, there arent many people wondering around in the deep wild to pk. Therefore, high levels are stooping to abyss pking to satisfy there player killing urges. I'm curious as to what your theories for this are. Its very out of the ordinary...

See, thats the sort of thing I get alot. I have infact played WoW and I did not like it at all. Almost every aspect of rs was better then WoW in my perspective. The only things WoW had better was PvP and graphics. I guess it was inevitable. Here is my list of things that I found rs has better: 1.) More skills (were are all the WoW skills? You get 2 per character and they hardly effect anything. Combat in rs is only a very small part of it) 2.) Quests (the quests in WoW, especially at the lower levels, are dull, repetative, and uninventive. They are basically "go kill the bandit king!" "go kill 5 wolves! nice job! now go kill 6 more!") 3.) The World is Too Big (Yes, it is waaay to big for its worth. I found myself lost on many occations, not knowing were to go or what to do. The interface had so many button and hotkeys that I found it hard to locate my map :lol: ) 4.) Its all Combat! (the only game is combat based from what I can see. An average player can max out a character at level 60 fairly quick and once you get there, I couldn't see any point in going on. Accept for occational PvP game...I asked some of my school friends "what is there to do after you hit 60 combat?" they all answered with pretty much "PvP" other then that you just run through the same repetative dungeons, which is of course all combat based. 5.) Interface is hard to figure out (whoever said that WoW is "user friendly" must be on crack or something :shock: , I couldnt figure out how to do alot of things. It took me forever to send a pm to a friend from school. Theres buttons on the side, on the top, on the bottom, its just too overwhelming for my tast :( ) thats all I can think of at the moment, I'm sure there is more though. So yea, I really see no draw to the game at all. Not sure why I bought it in the first place :-#

the communty doesnt suck, its just that you have to look in the right places, and I guess at face value (first impressions) it would suck.

how can I check if my java is up to date and where is the best place to get the latest version of java? I do use SS and I have no lag issues at all accept for this occation when I get a large number of people into my POH

No, i had the same things running as I always have running. a Firefox web-browser (tip.it) and itunes. Do you think it may have something to do with my Java or the fact that I'm running it through a 3rd party client rather then firefox or internet explorer? It only occured when I waas in the POH with a larger # of people. As soon as I was out of the POH it stopped occuring.

it would lag up and the screen would said "loading" or whatever and when it came back I was logged out. This happened about 5 times until I just gave up. I have a very fast connection and never lag and I've been to other people's POH parties with well over 30 people in them with no issues like this occuring to the host. Something must be wrong...

I have a very fast internet connection. Whenever I lag there is always some sort of reason (someone else in my house is using the other computer that runes off the same connection or I'm downloading something). However, I recently had around 15-20 people come into my Player Owned House while on Runescape and about 1 minute later I lagged up to the point where I was logged off. I went back in, apologized to everyone, and it happened again! This happened about 2-3 more times until I finally gave up... Is there something wrong with my Java that is causing this problem? it only seems to occur when I get lots of people into my POH.

well thats the thing. It IS popular. Thats why people pay attention to it (negative attention). I read somewhere that it has almost the same paying member count as WoW does.

i guess i see what you mean. I cant personally see a draw to WoW. I have played wow, twice, and I could write a huge list of things i didnt like/that runescape has better. my conclusion: if you like graphics/pvp play WoW if you like gameplay/depth to your gaming experience play runescape I do however, find myself a little imbarressed when I tell people that I play runescape. I can't really figure out why though...

I was looking on random YouTube video's of runescape. I scroll down to the comments and every other comment is "Runescape SUCKS!!!!" "worst game ever!!!!!" "WoW rules!!!!" but I dont really understand this at all. I notice the same thing on Gamespot and other various gaming forums. It seems the only place that actually likes runescape in the slightest is the runescape community... Whats with all the hating towards runescape? please, enlighten me.

I'm mostly with ya on this one :lol: Accept for the christian part. I am an athiest but other then that were on a similar level. I'd probably be more outgoing if i had more friends but i dont. I go place when I'm invited but other then that I'm on rs. its not about being able bodied or not..Its about personality. Some people (like myself) just dont have outgoing, thriving, type personalities. I'm generally pretty quiet and keep to myself most of the time. People like that are usually the types that play alot. I admit, I played rs for 48 hours straight once. I dont think I'd do it again but an all nighter occationally is fun :P
