December 26, 200619 yr This morning when I got on, I start to burn some of my 8k willow logs in edge, and this lv 118 comes up to me. I am lv 110, he is 118. 118: hey can i ask u a question? me: sure 118: wat quest do i need 2 get 2 west ardy? me: you don't know? 118: no and where is west ardy A level 118 not knowing where Ardougne is! How is that? After some more talking, he says that he has only been to Sarium and Draynor for Pest Control. Upon looking up his stats, he has less then 700 total.. A level 118 with less then 700 total? Has Pest Control put the minds of lv 60s into the characters of 118s!? What is your opion on this? I personally think that people who PC for combat mainly are idiots. They have aquired no knowlage of the game, but are of a high combat and most unknowing people respect it. when someone asks me a question, I can answer it nearly every time. But someone of higher combat can't? Runescape player since 2005 Ego Sum Deus Quo Malum Caligo et Barathum
December 26, 200619 yr maybe if pc was different.....everyoen rushes out of the boat to find a single yew, person who chops the most gets 10xcombat lvl in coins and xp towards combat =P all them pc products would have 99 wc :P yea i agree some of these pc products are really stoopid and talk lyke dis n their all lyke yo homie u comin 2 da movies? Come to #tip-it on Swift IRC, if you're cool
December 26, 200619 yr Author Then my friend would be 126 combat lol.. All he does is wc! Runescape player since 2005 Ego Sum Deus Quo Malum Caligo et Barathum
December 26, 200619 yr Yeah, i've noticed weird stuff like that too :\ I would be all for it... if i liked PC :(
December 26, 200619 yr yea i agree some of these pc products are really stoopid and talk lyke dis n their all lyke yo homie u comin 2 da movies? ROFL, what? You should have asked how long he's been playing. Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference.
December 26, 200619 yr it's patheticly easy to level combat. They actually have clans and such to just do pc all day. People are getting from 90 to 99 stats in a few days. It's sad. Half of them have been playing barely a half year
December 26, 200619 yr Saying everyone who pc's is an idiot ? A little harsh don't you think ? I pc quite a bit, and find it as a good way to train. I know a lot about the game and I try to be as respectable to other players as I can. My points is, just because someone pc's doesn't mean there an idiot 7622nd to 99 cooking. ^_^
December 26, 200619 yr I disagree with this entirely. Why do people with high combat levels have to be extremely intelligent and resourceful? Even before PC there were plenty of higher levels who didn't know much about Runescape, or used chat speak, and so on. I don't really see where the connection is between combat and intelligence. Quite honestly, even before PC, the only thing combat really requires is the ability to click. After that, nothing really matters. I find it very stereotypical to say that PC products are idiots. There are some who are not very resourceful and/or intelligent, and there are some who are. And vice versa as well (with non PC-products). - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
December 26, 200619 yr ^^ I agree with Tripsis. Just because you don't like Pc, that doesn't mean that other people can't do it. And they are still playing the game in a fair way, unlike some people who download macros and get them to do all the work instead.
December 26, 200619 yr 45% of 110+ cmb are PC products PC products don't have the true rs skill. Even though I hate it with most players always having 90+ even if they're low levels, they have true skill because they don't take the easy way out to get a level that high
December 26, 200619 yr ive gotten into an argument cause i was showing my friend my cooking emote and a pc product said pfft anyone can get 99 cooking and he talked like he just started to use a computer....im not saying all are like this, but ALOT are. Come to #tip-it on Swift IRC, if you're cool
December 26, 200619 yr I agree with you, even though im a noob, i got my lv 101 combat the hard way, by training. People like us have alot more experince in this game than pc prouducts, who are only exposed to one thing. There kinda noob i was pking last night and i killed a 107, I look him up and he was only ranked in combat, and he wasn't pure. They should reduce the xp in pc... by alot!
December 26, 200619 yr PC products don't have to be smart, no one does.. What if they were lvl 60, no lifed at PC for a month (Non stop), with all the money, they got some nice stuff, now, they're a high combat noob with nothing to do. (Pretty much what Tripsis said, but in my little way of talking :-$ ) EDIT: Nugget89 lives in VA :D so do I,..[geeky voice]uber pwnage[/geeky voice]
December 26, 200619 yr I can take pride is saying that the only 99 I got from pc (I was 97 when i started :o ) was ranged. Everything else came from slayer :)
December 26, 200619 yr Using the quickest way to do something automatically makes you an idiot? Because that makes sense. You know what makes more sense? That people who make pointless posts on tip.it just to hear themselves speak are morons. That actually has merit. Everyone talks about not taking the "easy" way out. That's wildly stupid. Rejecting a superior way to do something purely because you consider it lame is patently ludicrous. In fact, you could make the case that those who do it an inferior way are the morons. Doing something the easiest/fastest way seems to be the most intelligent you could do to me. I don't pc. Rs doesn't interest me anymore. Whenever I play I'm doing school while I afk at bandits or fish since that's all I can do if I want to play. But making the statement that people who do a specific thing, in a game no less, are idiots...well that's just stupid. 124 CombatRetired Echo of Silence Councilhttp://rseos.com/forums/
December 26, 200619 yr I can take pride is saying that the only 99 I got from pc (I was 97 when i started :o ) was ranged. Everything else came from slayer :) I say you should no life for a week, and get 99 slayer :P. Slayer=really rare cape.
December 26, 200619 yr That's why I'm in the game! I'm a crime fighting grammar nazi who won't let you put a toe out of line :) Yer but all these idiots are becomming a serious problem, and jagex is making the game around their desires >=O
December 26, 200619 yr I especially love the ones who clearly have been at pc for ever, as their supplies and armor are the same when they first entered PC (such as blue d hide on a person with 80+ range, etc)
December 26, 200619 yr sorry, am I reading this correctly? pest control products? look, that 118 obviously used an update to its advantage. wait, isnt that what theyre here for?
December 26, 200619 yr I agree with Nugget89 and Severation. The way I see it, "PC Products" aren't taking the easy way out, they're simply using the smart way. What makes more sense: -Spending one month at PC to max combat stats so you can (1) do stuff IRL or (2) move on to non-combat skills -Spending 5 months maxing combat on "real monsters" so you can tell everyone that you didn't use PC I don't think that not using PC gives you more knowledge of Runescape, like I said earlier. In addition, I don't see why people shouldn't use this PC update to their advantage, like Severation stated. That's great if you want to be able to say that you didn't use PC, but what is that going to do for you in the end? Nothing. You just end up wasting more time playing Runescape or training combat, when you could have gotten it done a lot quicker. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
December 26, 200619 yr That lvl 118 probably bought that account on Ebay. I just started PC earlier today (found some really good worlds too :D ), and found that without exchanging you points, you still get really good xp. What could be better then xp, with no food, and having it be fun whilst doing it? ~~Let The Dragon ride again, on the winds of time~~I've always felt as if I'm the only person who can understand the concept of sarcasm on the internet.
December 26, 200619 yr I disagree with this entirely. Why do people with high combat levels have to be extremely intelligent and resourceful? Lol. I think that they should have a little intellegence to know where west Ardounge is (I mean, COME ON! Maybe in Ardounge, idiots?). But, you would think that higher combat = more time playing = more information about the game. [Admin Edit: No naming names in a negative light]

I know a lot about the game and I try to be as respectable to other players as I can. My points is, just because someone pc's doesn't mean there an idiot I don't think he's saying everyone's an idiot, but before PC you would NEVER see something like this (a 118 idiot that is). I just stared at gaped at my monitor after reading that... I knew PC was out of control, but I had no idea things had gone that far  . Well, everyone set up your bunkers, 'cause Armagedden is coming when a 5 year old hits level 126, and it's coming soon. EDIT: (nevermind, he did say it) What is your opion on this? I personally think that people who PC for combat mainly are idiots. Annoying, yes. Idiots, quite the opposite. I disagree with this entirely. Why do people with high combat levels have to be extremely intelligent and resourceful? Quite honestly, even before PC, the only thing combat really requires is the ability to click. After that, nothing really matters. Eh, generally speaking people who have higher combat levels know more about the game and are more intelligient and mature. That's still true, but with PC the correlation isn't as strong. Think of it this way: a child or teenager can be more mature than an adult, but generally speaking the adult is almost always the more mature one. So even thought the child could be more mature, I don't know a person alive who wouldn't put their bet on the adult being more mature in a random scenario. In matters of maturity: Adults:Children as 110+'s:Low levels. But, you would think that higher combat = more time playing = more information about the game. But I disagree with that. What about people who don't like combat? Technically, if you can make this argument, you would also make the argument along the lines of, "That guy has a higher woodcutting level. Higher woodcutting level = more time playing Runescape = he knows more about Runescape than the other person, with a lower level." But that's not true at all. I'm sure the woodcutter knows a lot about woodcutting, but we can't be sure that he knows a lot about everything else. Someone who got to level 118 WITHOUT the use of PC could easily make this same mistake (about not knowing where Ardougne is). S/he obviously just spends all of his/her time training combat, just not necessarily in Ardougne itself, but other parts of Runescape. I just don't like this whole concept that having a high combat level makes it socially unacceptable for you to have questions. By this stereotype, if you're a high level and don't know something about the game, you're an idiot. -.- - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

I knew where all the city's were, what the names of them were, and what they looked like when I turned lvl 15 FTP. <-Why is that a site? There is no URL brackets... You do make some good points, though. Just the area I quoted I disagree with... [Admin Edit: No naming names in a negative light]
