Stupid PC products... The noobs of today!

Featured Replies

Rebdragon - I understand what you're saying, but I guess my real question is why this applies to combat. What about the other skills in the game?

Why don't we have "Gilded Altar Products" or "Ancient Magic Products" (rich people who barraged to 99 for example, instead of doing it the "hard way" back in Classic), or "Cook X Products."

Maybe it's because Runescape appears to be somewhat centered around combat (since that's the level that's shown to the public), but I still don't think it's a proper way to classify people.

Personally, Everyone In this Topic Calling People "PC Products" either

1. Can't find a good PC Clan.

2. Can't stand PC'ing, So because they can't get the EXP themselves that Everyone Else is getting, They Don't see it fair and want it Taken out, and Call people who use it a "PC Product" because they are too lazy to try it.

I'd be impressed with somebody that pc'ed 126.

Think of how many games they would have to play just for prayer alone. :ohnoes:

He just successfully trolled you with "courtesy" and managed to get a reaction out of you. Lol

I hate to say this but this post has done nothing other than make me think what a great way to train pc is. I have 90 combat so qualify for affliction which makes it even easier. I know think that as soon as i have achieved 76 fishing a good way to get myself the higher combat i need to do some of the things i have wanted to do for a while e.g KQ or Dagganoths. I have a reasonably good knowledge of RS and I fortunately have proved myself not to be an idiot many times. So would you call me a PC product if i reached 100+ combat?

Pest Control experience SHOULD be lowered. Why do people who risk nothing and spend nothing gain the most experience? Pest Control also is really boring (in my opinion), each game is basicly indentical and there's no "suspence" in the game such as wonder what drop you'll get. I've got all my 99s by training on monsters and will continue to train using monsters as IMO it's the superior method. I'll make A LOT more money by training on monsters to 99 then I would be using pest control.

That's a good point. :o I'd do that if I have 85 slayer, but .. It seems I don't. 8-)

Before you said he had 700 total, I was thinking he just came from f2p :-k

Or we don't care about training combat and have different ideas than what you seem to think we all do.

I never understood *why* they made PC how it is, safe, fast, and efficient. Nothing else in the game is all three of these at the same time. You can have fast and efficient training, but it's generally not safe. You can have safe and efficient training, but it isn't fast. Safe and fast training is generally inefficient, monetarily. And yet in PC, all three of these factors are present to an extreme. You CANNOT lose items, you DO NOT need food, you don't even need any armour or weapons (though it would be kind of hard to get the necessary damage in a fast game without one, probably), and you get the fastest exp in the entire game.

Yes, people who are using the update to their advantage are smart in doing so (assuming they have the first mindset I described, not the second). Yes, it is a great method of training. Yes, I would quit the game before using it - but that's just me. I do agree with Trembake that it takes a lot of concentration to max out at PC, just like it would take a lot of concentration to solo 99 RC or get 99 mining. I just don't believe that a high level acheived through a method of training that is safe, fast, and efficient, no matter how mind-numbingly boring it is, is a real acheivement. I'm sorry to anyone who disagrees, this is my personal opinion.

I think their lucky, ive never been that strong on the game and i always wished it at lvl 60. Now i dont really care about being that strong, still having the mind of a lvl 60 and the abilities of a lvl 118 has an advantage. For instance, your the spotlight of a tip.it topic and being called a noob by people who are jealous you got to a high level before them.

It's because every day the average age of the Runescape player drops, and with a younger target audience Jagex had to make things easy, stupid, and efficient. Can't have their money dying to some monster and quitting, no, they need something easy to keep their new baby audience attached. Thus the advent of Pest Control.

I completely understand why people would call others "PC Products", including myself having goten a few million magic experience there. They have every right to call us that Tro and others- it's not because they can't find a "good PC clan"- a lot of those people calling people PC Products already have 99's, so there's no point to that argument. Realize that we did what they did in maybe 30% of the time, with maybe 1% of the risk.

I'd also like to add a tad bit of sheer irony: I hate all skills, all quests, pretty much everything in the game that doesn't involve PvP or taking down a tough monster. Guess what the one exception is? Ya, it's Pest Control  . You guys all love everything and hate PC, saying it's boring, but I can actually stand it for a couple thousand points. Of course, I do multitask while I PC :P .

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

Not all of them are PC products you know heck I seen 100+ on F2P so they can't all know every knowledge next time lighten up and give them the help ::'

you cant expect everyone to not be an idiot, just lighten up a little. there is a lot of idiots, especially in f2p although not knowing where west ardoruge is is really stupid

some people merely concentrate on one thing for a long time, i.e when you see level 50's with 99 wc, or 90 mining..its the same with combat.

You totally misunderstood the point. Or, at least my point. Since a few months after pc, I've seen way more high level people who are very stupid then before pc. With stupid I mean acting immature, have a very little knowledge about loads things of rs and are obviously just "bragging around" with their high combat lvl (on an annoying way). This started like 1.5-2 months after the pc update.

I'm sorry if it's wrong I use my logical sence to connect those things.

Another problem to me is that maxing a skill (lvl 99), became very easy. So there is hardly anything to achieve anymore. I don't see getting combat/cooking/flecting levels as an achievement anymore. This makes rs less fun to play IMO. (But this is obviously a totally different discussion)

When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done.

All skills 80+

But you didn't say that. You are complaining about a level 118 that didn't know where and how to get to west ardy. Not that he was bragging, or didn't know alot about runescape.

Also to your last paragraph, if it's to easy to level to 99 in here then why don't you quit? I mean you said your self it makes it less fun.

well today at 11:30 am 14 years ago i was born.. wo0t!!!

I hate all the pc noobs, yah know, the 40-60's that sit there, and help non. Iv seen friends go on a site, where they train accounts, and, its like, people mass produce pest control accounts, accounts made just for pc. Personally, I think they should raise the level to at least 65, or 70, becuase, at this level, pest control actually helps raise your stats.

99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th

How in the world can you call people idiots for pcing for combat levels?!?!?! Their genius for trying to rush at combat levels that is always recommended upon starting the game!!!! I mean seriously, a 126 might not be knowledgable of the game, but they will learn and are able to do most options of the game way more easy and more effiecient, rather than taking the loong way

My main gripe with Pest Control is that it requires

1. No Food

2. No Good Amour

3. No Risk

To get the fastest damn experience in the entire game for combat. I find this pretty annoying, as an RSC player, RS2 itself made it easy to level combat, I didn't mind that, I can accept change. I can't keep living in RSC, but Pest Control is just taking that too far.

I always thought using Guthan and whatnot to stay forever in training spots was pretty easy. Then Pest Control, you don't even need Guthan to train forever. All you need is some Initiate Armour, or something, with a whip to get the fastest exp in game.

It is too easy, it is too safe, it is too fast.

Known formerly as Ameoba3000.

Now known as Vigoss.

When i got member i was about 85+ combat and i didn't knew anything about members items or places etc.

So i don't see any point to shout on others, when they don't know where Ardougne is or something. Just tell them.

For those "PC products": people have they're own training way. I myself like PC and when i'm not bored to train combat i always go there (if i know a good world). Why to take a hard way and spend long time doing the same thing witch you can get in a quicker way

I want to say first that i am a guy, becouse when people see my username they think i am a girl.

I pc for combat, yet you know me, and im smart -.-

Oh, and to ANYONE saying "rs2 product" "pc product"

Do you realize how ignorant you sound?

Back in rsc, people used the best training spots available to achive their goals. While the places have changed, the goals have not.

In rsc, majority of the prime training spots were in the wilderness, in rs2, they moved to normal areas, many still in the wilderness (axe hut is a prime example, while the bandit camp is the counter-example)

With the inclusion of PC, they moved to an area where you need no food is needed.

So, if your goal is 99 strength, GO FOR IT!

You can train at rock crabs, experiments, you can go to the bandit camp, or the axe hut.

Or you can use the fastest exp available, That one sounds nice, eh?

Im done, got what i wanted out.

Most people, excluding the author, realize that idiot is in no way the correct term for people who "have it easy". PC Product is useful to use because it gives a name to those who did things much easier than the user of the term had to. There's no denying that many recent updates have made things much much easier than they were "back in the old days".

So you can target the author, but that post really pertained to no one else here :? .
