I have an account that I want to make into a PVP f2p. I have a lvl 104 main but i just can't kill anyone with it... the stats of my pure atm are : attack: 31 strength: 31 defence: 10 HP: 28 magic: 8 prayer:1 ranger: 1 Money is not an issue (i have 12m)... so what should my inventory be and what should i get my stats to, to have a pretty good pker to get some decent drops? I have full black with addy scimmy. Thanks in advance :)

Its not Jagex's fault. It's the idoits cheaters that ruin the fun for everyone. I remember the days of rsc when there were very few limitations. Then people started cheating with their gay world switchers which made Jagex give us a 30+ sec wait to log in. Then the RWT era. The list goes on and on. I do not blame Jagex, I blame us. Good point. I kind of like it. As long as they only make it to where f2per can only buy the item and not obtain it in any other way. Not just splitbark, but any other item that is considered outdated.

Never use the two words "f2p" and "deserve" in the same sentence... Iv been mostly f2p since 2003 (only became member for 1 month)... so this is ocmign from a fellow f2per. We deserve nothing.

is it just me or have they changed the limit on buying trimmed kiteshields? every few hours it buys another 2... it first bought 2 within like 20-30 min.. i log in a few horus later and its up to 4 and few hours later its now up to 6. Whats the deal? have they lowered the limit from 100 to 2????

^^ If you had the money he had, you would do the same thing. To have control of the whole economy is remarkable.. a folly by Jagex to allow this to happen.

It is price manipulation. It happened earlier this year and with many other items. Among the names I heard involved with this is the #2 constructor.. along with many others. Very ingenious. I would love to be able to control the price of any item I wanted.

I remember the days when people actually made up creative, interesting, and informative threads. Now all people do is say one thing they found in runescape and say discuss.. O, look! I found three yew trees behind Varrock Castle! Discuss!...

I totally agree with everything you wrote and it soudns like we have much in common. I was also a former player moderator that acted in the same sort of way. During a small break from runescape I was somehow hacked and I lost my p-mod status and eventually got my account back. Great post. O and btw its not that big a deal leaking information lol.. most people know the "secret" stuff already.. considering there was well over 5k mods before i got hacked.

That is just sad to hear. I was a former p-mod for quite a bit of time until i took a 1-2 months break b/c of macros last year. I came back with the GE, to find that I had been hacked and my crown removed. While I was p-mod I ran across alot of idoitic ones. Many elitist, who thought they knew everything. It was almost impossible to have a discussion or idea on the p-mod section of the forums, without having some idoit come in. I say all that to say that I dont believe there is any need for p-mods anymore. People can't scam anymore except for passwords. But even then they can't do much with your account, such as trade all ur items to their acc, which I believe the main part for hacking), if you have recovery questions set. Yeah p-mods can mute the random spammer or watever, but as people said before just add them to the ignore list! P-mods have served their purpose, it is now time to get rid of them. I was doing some smithing and I got the freaky forester random. When I did the task of getting hte two tailed bird, I realized something. You have to kill the bird, and the bird has 5 hit points. I was wondering how skillers go around this. I am not a lvl 3 skiller, nor will I ever be. But I am interested to see how ppl like zzzamorak go around this... however it is possible that kiling the bird gives 0 xp.

Honestly, i think that Mod that said that its against the rules to "trust trade" is a total idoit. There is nothing in the rule book that says its illegal to "trust trade." I haven't even used item lending yet...

There is already another thread that is discussing this... and josh this can happen in f2p.. Its called junk trading. I hvae about 8k hardleather bodies that are worth according to the GE about 76gp each (idk is thats is correct atm). Say you want to rent my red H mask. I say ill let you have it for 5 hours if you buy 1k of my hardleather bodies for 76k. You buy, and then i lend you my item. Bascially your setting yourself up to get scammed.. unless you do it with a friend that you know wont scam you.

If I am correct there is no rule against "renting" out your items. If you are refering to the Item scamming rule then you are also wrong. It would only be item scamming if the person took the money and didn't finish the deal. You are not breaking the rules if you complete your end of the deal. I myself will never "rent" some elses peice of equipment because I get no sense of accomplishment getting it. Secondly, I don't trust most people in the game. I have numorous examples, but so does everyone else. EDIT: If I had a rare item, I would def. rent it out to people for a price (A way for me to get rid of alot of hardleather bodies). I would not scam this person at all. I would be honest about it, but I do understand there is no way to insure this.

There is nothing wrong with charging people to borrow your items. I repeat.. nothing wrong with it. There is a problem with people being dishonest and not fulfulling their end of the bargain. In its present state, that can happen and I would advise not "renting" a peice of equipment unless you trust the person or until Jagex can add this in, in some way. The reason it is ok to do this is because nobody is making you pay for renting that item. You have two choices. 1. Trust this person and do the trades. 2. You don't do it and no harm is done... To think that it is immoral is goofy. If people we taking advantage of somebody to make money WHEN THAT PERSON HAS NO OTHER ALTERNATIVES, then it is wrong.
