  1. Valeyard, how many Zombies maps do you have? Which would translate to: How many map packs have you bought?
  2. I'm sorry, but I'm just not agreeing with you here. Rifles greatly overpower SMG's at true long distances. You're not going to get away with spraying at those kinds of distances, and that's where the rifle takes over. Power and accuracy destroy the SMG at those ranges. MG's, ehh. They still have their weaknesses.
  3. Well, of course you won't get the kill if you don't pull up the sights and shoot first. :P The missile and rifle grenade thing is annoying, I know. I agree with you. But as far as SMG's and MG's dominating the hardcore game mode, I just don't see what you mean. It's more balanced, and you can pretty much use whatever you want. I could see what you're describing in regular, but not in hardcore. Oh, I got a bunch of the Shi No Numa achievements. Yesterday I got Hammer Time, Weapon of Minor Destruction, and Fertilizer Man. I previously also had Big Brawler, Perk-a-Holic, and Dead Air. A few left to go. These achievements are actually pretty hard.
  4. Holy crap, there's more DLC! I've been away for far too long. It's funny, though. Like Necromagus, I've only gotten and completed Operation:Anchorage. I need to get more and start getting into this game again. Once vacation starts, I'll be back on this game.
  5. What about the bayonet? Fun to use, and there are challenges for it too.
  6. http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Modern_Warfare_2 This is a pretty cool link, and it has a list of all the confirmed weapons on MW2.
  7. Nothing is overpowered because all the weapons kill so fast. That's the idea, and it makes for what I think is better gameplay overall. And yes, any shot from a trench gun on hardcore is almost always a 1-hit. Sometimes, though, you might get unlucky and not get the kill if you're especially far away and/or your spread sucks. Yeah but SMG's and MG's still kill quicker than most rifles since they're WAY easily sprayed, and rifles sometimes depend on moving speed and shooting infront of the opponent, which at times can be hard if you arent vsing a complete noob. Totally false. The thing about hardcore is that semi-automatic rifles can definitely be used and keep up well with SMG's and MG's. It's usually only a one-shot kill. Killing the opponent from far away as opposed to running around, when you yourself could easily get shot down since it's hardcore? The two balance each other out, with rifles coming out on top on many occassions. There's much better gameplay on hardcore.

You guys should all realize that while WaW is a fun game, CoD4 is vastly superior to it in many ways. WaW is a good game overall, and there were changes to it that are notable from CoD4, but CoD4 is the real innovator of the Call of Duty shooter, and WaW is essentially a copy with some changes and a different atmosphere.
  9. Well, I use both. It's not like I don't like the Stg and MP40. And if people ask you about it, you should just tell them that you play hardcore. Everyone should just switch to hardcore. It's so much better than regular, although it is fun to go back to regular once in a while to try it out.
  10. Why would you be embarrassed about using the MP40 on hardcore? The MP40 isn't really over powered at all on hardcore compared to other weapons. Also, the Stg-44 on hardcore is like the MP40 on regular. It's one of the most popular and overused weapons, which is annoying but totally manageable.
  11. The Perks-a-Cola songs might be one of the best parts about Shi No Numa and Nazi Zombies as a whole. They're pretty awesome. Juggernog - Speed Cola - Double Tap Root Beer - Revive Soda - The Double Tap and Quick Revive songs are my favorite.
  12. The new map pack rocks. The new MP maps are actually pretty cool. I still need to explore them more, though. I was surprised at Banzai. Nobody seems to be using the bridge. Shi No Numa rocks. I love the character bios.
  13. Map Pack 2 comes out this Thursday! http://www.gametrailers.com/player/51310.html
  14. I can't wait for Shi No Numa. The map pack looks great.
  15. I found this on Game Trailers. You guys should watch this bit of extended gameplay if you haven't already. Seriously, this game looks truly amazing. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-09 ... fare/50309
  16. That is an interesting point. I wonder if there was a personel version of the PTRS. Otherwise, it seems a bit like overkill to give us anti-tank rifles against enemies. I can't complain, though. I don't know what they did in World War II. I still count it as awesome. I'm sure I've said this a lot, but if you just get used to Hardcore, I don't think you'll ever go back. And what's so hard about sniping on Hardcore?
  17. The fact that the PTRS is an anti-tank/material rifle also scores points with me for awesome. I also only play hardcore, so each shot is pretty much a one-hit kill with any rifle, which also makes the scoped M1 Garand a great rifle.
  18. Next to the PTRS, the Kar has got to be the best sniper rifle in the game.
  19. Paintballing is fun but hurts like hell. I've only been twice. Played one game of woodsball a long time ago, and a year ago or so I played a game of speedball. Speedball's probably easier to play, but going into it for a first time is funny. I didn't understand the tactics at all, so when I was looking out for my friend, he was already halfway down the court and shooting at me. I really sucked. Getting shot hurts, especially in the head while wearing a helmet that doesn't protect the entire head. Jeans and a sweatshirt help, but it's still an annoying experience. I'd like to try it again sometime if I have the guts.
  20. One of the Super Monkey Ball games that isn't the adventure one. I swear, you will never put it down. I'd throw a party if they released a version of it for the Xbox 360.
  21. Wow. I have tons of respect for Infinity Ward. This looks like an amazing game. They're incorporating so much new and interesting material into this game. Anyone know when a beta is coming out? Glad to see the FAMAS in this game. Really though, any new weapon is good. Anyone know what weapon was used in the snow mission?
  22. A group of Brotherhood Outcasts want access to a high-tech armory in their base, but can't get into it without using the Pip-Boy to complete a U.S. military simulation. They seek you out, you complete the Operation:Anchorage simulation, and the armory is opened. The armory contains various goodies, and a few of the items from the simulation: The Winterized Power Armor, the shocksword, the trench knife, the Gauss Rifle, and the Chinese Stealth Suit. They're pretty cool.
  23. We are still talking about COD5. Lately I've been having the COD5 fever, but all in all, COD4 is a much better game. The reasons are obvious. I liked COD5's campaign and all, and it's still pretty fun, but besides Nazi Zombies COD5 has done nothing to improve gaming or to push the limits of an FPS. It's not a special game.

    Machinimas

Digitalph33r is pretty funny, but RVB is very good also. I don't really watch RVB as a series, but I watch a lot of their short movies and other videos, and they're very funny. As far as machinima goes, I've watched the entire Arby n the Chief series, and that's about it. I've watched a lot of Digitalph33r's videos. One thing I can't take seriously are "serious" and dramatic machinimas, like Deus ex Machina. I usually just end up laughing at those series. I watched the first few episodes of Deus ex Machina, and I just couldn't get into it.
  25. http://www.bingegamer.net/2009/a-compre ... -2-teaser/ This is extremely interesting. Are we still dealing with Russians, or are they going to be other Eastern European terrorists? Are there new perks? What can we expect? I would LOVE a level in the snow. I'm going to be following this. This is great.
