Well, I don't think it will affect staves very much, as the main supply of these I think is the daily ones from Naff. OT: I'd like to buy Ely/Div, but first I have to get cash for it :P

Combat level is based on the player's skills, it should not be based on their inventory, for two main reasons: a) During a fight you could change combat levels while you equip stuff, being too, like green9090 said, unpractical. b) One's combat level should be based upon one's combat abilities rather than the equipment, I see your logic of including it, though I don't agree with it. Now, I think the way combat level is calculated right now is good enough, I don't think Slayer should be included, as much as I like it, and as much as related to combat it is, I don't think it should really affect one's combat level. That out of the question, I think the way combat is calculated right now is just good.

Oddly enough, the % changes if I gained a level in the skill... Say I set a 90 mining goal at 86, and leveled to 87, if I restart the goal, the % changes but if I'm already 87 mining, and restart the goal the % stays the same, maybe it doesn't count the XP from the past level, so if I gained 50k XP after 87 mining, that will be the only XP to count for the new %? It's the only thing that makes sense to me.

Yeah but...Say I was 900k from my goal and the % was 30%, cleared the goal and started it again, now I'm 900k from my goal but 15%

Just wondering, why if I'm like...37% from one level goal, if I remove the goal then add it again, the % lowers? I was ~30% on my mining goal to 90, removed the goal, added the very same goal again and the % dropped, I know this doesn't affect my XP, I'm just curious about why did it happen.

I think you soaked the damage, maybe JaGeX forgot to make damage fixed specials immune to soaking?
