With Jagex hosting real life events now, it seems Runescape has more life than ever. I don't expect it to fully die down within a decade, barring a huge shift in the gaming market or stupid decisions made by Jagex. Just because there is a real life event doesn't mean there will be anybody going to it. They obviously feel that they have enough support to successfully host an even though. Until we see what happens at the event we can only guess. My money's on a large number of people attending though.

I'm the opposite. I played for like 2-3 years, then my parents made me stop playing 2 years ago. I'm about to go off to college and I plan on playing Runescape again once I'm on my own. It'll be the only game I play while at college, as my 360 will stay at home. I've recently been getting myself reacquainted with the game. Yes, C4 is very effective if you can use it correctly. It's much better than the mortor strike.

Maybe they should make it so that every slayer master can offer every challenge. That way if you don't like to do the fight caves but like to use Kuradel you can have the possibility of doing a slayer challenge.
