  1. I can't understand then why he's still upping the price of membership and making ridonkulous Jagex shops. But, I suppose you don't make money like that without being greedy ;)
  2. Yeah but surely the average overweight American would only be XL or XXL, whereas that average overweight Runescape t-shirt buying player is XXXL.
  3. Please, I'm not saying everyone that plays Runescape is fat, I'm just saying that the people who buy the t-shirts are. If anyone has bought a t-shirt that was not size XXXL, please say so.
  4. Honestly I'm not being nasty or trying to provoke people, just saying that it's bound to be more than coincedence that the players who are that obsessed with Runescape to buy a t-shirt are the die-hard ones that must only sit and play Runescape all day.
  5. Just an amusing observation on the Jagex store, http://www.jagexstore.com/product_info. ... ucts_id=48 All t-shirts are in stock apart from the XXXL t-shirt, which leads me to conclude that Runescape players are rather obese.
  6. Runescape = click, click, click. Clicking is very easy, you know.
  7. Free servers are different to member servers though.. Isn't Jagex just becoming on of those companies that use people's desperation to make money?
  8. And therefore that would suggest that Jagex is just making it for members only to attract more, paying players and therefore more money?
  9. But then they're going to make the graphics for all?
  10. Jagex has taken the decision to have Runescape HD a members-only beta. Do you reckon there is any reason for this other than to get more people signing up to membership? Do companies that do this really care about anything other than money?
  11. Or it may go to show that you really don't know much. If you're really desperate you can use a proxy server to circumvent location systems and make your IP address appear that it logged on from somewhere other than your location. I excuse your lack of research this time. If it's that obvious then the quote stays.
  12. There will always be macroers who use bots to gain levels in the game for the sake of having more fun with their higher levels and not wanting to spend the time gaining them!
  13. I hope the justification for posting these kind of pics can be understood within this topic: As you can see the RWT's have just changed their techniques whereby instead of the player buying the gold from another account they give an account seller their account credentials and allow them access to their account when they need to make the money. This is just going to be more undetectable than ever, and will lead to Jagex doing more ridiculous content-trims to squash these people. When Jagex read this they'll know that they made a false statement in saying that every method of stopping RWT's had been addressed. They have not, and they now must face the embarrassment of admitting defeat.
  14. I thought that was 2006. And I said ever. Ok so you were just totally being random. Right.
  15. That was 3 weeks ago. People are still pretty angry about it. This is just over the top. They got rid of the system that has existed for 7 years and exists in nearly every other MMORPG!
  16. Has anyone actually payed attention to the people who are forced to trade the gold for money? What will happen to them now? No money to feed their families. So Jagex today became directly responsible for people losing their jobs and indirectly responsible for people dying of starvation. Sure, a pretty crazy scenario but it does make sense if you piece it together...
  17. Yes, you should check up on your English, because what I wrote is perfectly understandable.
  18. Trust me, some people are god-damn freaks. They have social problems, don't trust them, don't befriend them, they're not worth it and should live with the guilt rather than have the chance to redeem themselves.
  19. You think Jagex will change it now? Of course they won't! We know from past updates just one thing: Jagex are a stubborn bunch of control-freak computer geeks.
  20. Following todays rather suppressive update, I have a question: Would you rather have ALL Runescape updates in 2007 reverted if it meant all new real world trading updates were gone too? Or would you rather keep the rather rubbish updates of this year? and also, would you rate todays update as the worst update EVER?
  21. Did anyone see last nights episode, "Something's Coming", on ABC? Spoilers from the episode below by the way: [hide]I heard some rumours that it wasn't Lynette's house that was destroyed and that it was Mrs McKluskeys which was why Lynette screamed like she did (her kids and husband were in the basement). The show recaps on http://www.desperatehousewives.com stated that it WAS Lynette's house though. Then I read some post on the ABC message boards that it was actually a mistake in the recap! It was a relief when Victor died! It sure is about time! Nice to see that Gabby and Carlos now apparently won't be leaving Fairview. And Edie and Gabby are friends again... that's surely good news. [/hide] I saw that the countdown on the DH website said there's two weeks until the next show, but that appears to be a countdown for the show premiere (first show of season 4) - a repeat. Does that mean the show is on hiatus because of the writers strike or is it just taking a break for Christmas?
  22. Paul the Runescape man and I had a discussion about upcoming updates. Me: So - what's planned for the future Paul? Paul: Meh not much, we plan on squashing all cheats though next year. Me: Brilliant, how will you do that? Paul: First, we intend to remove the gold coin. This will stop all cheats because they all want them. Me: :o Paul: Hahaha yeah but that's not all that's planned. We are going to remove all trading methods to stop all cheating. Paul: Then we're removing the duel arena. Paul: Then we'll slowly start to remove each area from Runescape as there's the possibility that cheats may go into them. Paul: First we'll remove the wilderness through fear of drop-trading fighters. Paul: Then we'll remove the desert because people might want to do illegal trades there. Paul: Then we'll take out everywhere else and have black space. Paul: That should stop ALL cheats. I'm really fed up with them. Me: Well I suppose that explains why you've already started with the likes of the grand exchange to control trades and introducing the stake limit on the duel arena. Paul: You're cheating scum. Everyone is cheating scum. Me: Saying that to your players won't get you much popularity. Paul: As long as there ain't no cheats I don't care about the players. *Silence* Paul: OMG YOU'RE CHEATING!!!! Me has been kicked from the server by Paul. Thank you...
  23. Go quit then. Umm yeah I did try to say that when I said "I quit paying for membership." I have quit Runescape. Thanks (!) .
  24. Seriously. The predictions made by Runescape's community these days about future updates are usually always correct. The Grand Exchange ruining merchanting has been no exception. And no, I haven't waited for the evidence. But I know that if I want to buy something at it's cheapest price I'll go there, not to world 1 or 2. I'll get stuff there at the desperate-seller price. And so yes, merchanting has been ruined. I won't be surprised if Jagex begins to suffer a sharp decline in member subscriptions from now on.
