  1. I completely agree. 90% of the updates Jagex perform these days have a negative impact on players, but they mask those downsides with an "update". Because of it, I quit paying for membership in April this year, and I was right to do so - I've now saved money and no longer need to put up with the dreadful updates Jagex continuously puts into action.. Jagex sucks.
  2. That would still enrage pures though.
  3. Yeah I should really say "riots". 8-)
  4. I think they operate some kind of autobot (ironic seeing as they hate the players using them) that looks for keywords in the message body and matches the most likely response to their message. If there are too many responses available or not enough keywords to send an auto message, it is forwarded to a member of Jagex staff... ... Then they delete it.
  5. With all of the little "riots" and rants about the newly established staking limit, do you think Jagex will give in to the pressure and remove the staking limit?
  6. Woohoo! 169 people are playing RSC just now. I expect thousands will miss those forums.
  7. Actually maths at school isn't boring at all. And it's not repetitive. We learn new skills each day then put them to use in life. On RuneScape you can learn new skills every day. But it's a computer game. There's no comparison.
  8. If the update is summoning I'll be massively disappointed. Remember what Jagex's other recent skills have been: - Farming, everyone was bored by that. - Construction, everyone had a little fun but it just cost too much. - Hunter, reminding everyone of how repetitive RuneScape is. Summoning, what will it be? Just another skill - probably a boring skill that after two months of release no-one will use because it's time inputs will be far too much for the rewards. Personally, I was hoping for something fun. Fun is something that RuneScape lacks - it's all just repetition and show-off.
  9. This pretty much confirms that the proof posted in the first post is simply incorrect and caused by the left content which stretches the left content which holds the "x days remaining" It was a coincidence that you had this. I have no doubts as to your evidence contrary to the first post. But it does seem odd that Runescape should be listed at the right. It seems that this should be followed by a list of other games/services. And have you noticed that for the first time on the Runescape website, content is being fed from Jagex.com, check the frame info in the new billing area.
  10. If, or when, this Mechscape is released I believe it would call the end of Runescape. Runescape's community is weak enough as it is. To have the community split into two games would be disastrous for Runescape.
  11. I have triple-checked the tip.it forum rules about posting these sort of things and found no rules against it. This is not an adult link! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4SqvYIxgfg If moderators feel that this post is against tip.it's best wishes please remove the post and i'll know not to repost it.
  12. Well yeah, the left half is worth nothing. So is every object in Runescape, there is no remuneration for the work and money you give Jagex to play their game.
  13. Absolute bull****. Question three asks: The main cause of the modern warming trend is most likely to be: 1) Pollution from factories and automobiles 2) Orbital eccentricities of Earth and variations in the Sun's output 3) The Greenhouse Effect The "correct" answer was 2. I can say that this is wrong. Here's an image of sun output over the last 30-odd years: It has dropped.
  14. You mean they cut the article releases from 4 a month to 1 a month and broadcast junk like this to read? With all due respect you should be ashamed of yourself. A better topic next time may be more adequate instead of trying to change the Runescape community - it won't work!
  15. So doesn't this contradict your view that humans aren't causing global warming? We apparently have insignificant data to say that we are, but you reckon it's ok to say that we're not. Choose who's side you're on mate.
  16. Oh, all of the principles I stated are proven scientific experiments. Have you ever noticed that on this subject, people against the idea of human-inflicted global warming always slander the others and feel the need to use large text to get their point across? Please read my post then reply.
  17. Global warming has been described as the biggest problem facing our future on several occasions by the likes of leading politicians, yes, including George Bush. However, some people are too stubborn or love a conspiracy too much to believe that global warming is directly linked to us. So, now it's away with the pro-natural views and time to shed some light on the commonly agreed truth: Humans are the cause of global warming.. Sure, you could move onto another post at this stage because of your reluctance to believe, but I severely recommend that you persevere the length of the post and gain knowledge of the truth. Lets start with what the scientists think: At a climate science conference in 2005, all 912 attendees agreed that global warming was being caused by human activity; burning fossil fuels. Are you a scientist? Would you like to conduct an experiment to disprove the theory of manmade global warming? I encourage you to go ahead. But you may be wasting your time... Look at the following graph: If you haven't already figured it out, it shows the unexplained error in temperature from the analysis of atmosphere now and in the past. The different coloured lines represent different sources/results. We can clearly see that at the end towards the present day, there is a massive anomaly of results. Here's our first point. Secondly, observe the following graph: It shows the average carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere in parts per million (ppm). Currently this stands at 383 ppm. Forty years ago it was 320 ppm. A 16% increase in 40 years. Lets zoom out a little: Now we can see that at no point in the last 400,000 years has carbon dioxide been at such a high concentration, the lowest being some 180 ppm. Here's our second point. Now we can determine a general trend. As carbon dioxide levels rise, so do Now time to disprove some other theories... "It's the suns fault!" Solar variation hasn't changed in the last few decades, but average Antarctic ice thickness has generally gone down: "It's a conspiracy!" Yes, so was your parents lying to you about the tooth fairy. This is a little more serious now my dear. ...and some attitudes... "I don't care!" If you don't care then you can be described in two words: Ignorant and Inconsiderate. If you watched the news from Europe on September 11th 2001, did you think "I don't care LOLSeRs!!!!"? You'll care when you see others suffering on the television. "I'll be dead before then" That's not possible because as you read this, it's happening. Not the worst part yet, that's for sure. "When I see it, I'll believe it." What if you already have seen it? Flooding? Hurricanes? Perhaps not all global warming's fault, but almost certainly enhanced by it. Ok then, lets dumb it down a little... Global warming => Too much evidence supporting the theory. Still not believe it? In that case, there's not much I can do to change your mind. Believe what you want, but for the rest of us...
  18. By the mighty bolded sentence i assume you're not human? By the mighty italic sentence I assume that you're an idiot?
  19. It's not so much what the symbols really mean, it's what they are stereotyped to mean that makes them so offensive. Would you like the symbol which was the last thing 12 million people saw before they were slaughtered like animals to be accepted in society?
  20. I was actually just trying to help you out, but that's cool. Let the staff help me out rather than patronise.
  21. Ok, time for a very simple fact lesson to those who believe global warming is a natural cycle. One hundred years ago atmospheric CO2 levels were 280 parts per million. Now they are 380 parts per million. From arctic ice analysis, scientists have determined that the highest this has ever been is 320 parts per million. Now explain this natural cycle that some people are speaking of, it seems that I am unable to make sense of the random jibberish being emitted from the keyboards of you guys.
  22. Thanks for correcting me Aaron. No thanks for spamming pointlessly MyPurpleCrayon.
  23. Humans really are naive. We say we will miss things, but we don't do anything about it. I'm assuming that you or a member of your family drives. I'm also going to assume that you don't turn your computer off at the plug when it's not in use, and I'll guess that you don't really put your maximum effort into reducing your "carbon footprint". Correct me if i'm wrong. And to those who believe that the developing nations (China, India) need to do more to curb their emissions, don't listen to the media; China will need to multiply it's population by six before it meets the same carbon emissions per capita as the average American.
  24. ecopetition posted a topic in Off-Topic
Has anyone else seen Vacancy? Not to mention the plot, I felt that the ending was a little weak and required a sequel and aftermath. Does anyone else feel the same way?
  25. Get rid of ALL of the guns and hold on - ONE HUNDRED percent of people don't kill people with guns! COOL!!! THAT'S EVEN BETTER THAN BEFORE. No there is no sarcasm here, it's common sense. So please, disembark the vehicle if you choose not to use your brain. IDIOT! You're living in a dream world if you think a ban on guns would eliminate every single gun that exists in the US while also preventing any outside guns from entering. And you're living in an extremely small-mind if you think that outlawing all legal guns won't make a difference. There will be virtually no easy access to guns so - wait a minute - my god - i've cracked it! GUN REDUCTION = GUN CRIME REDUCTION!!! =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> Sometimes I think you complete idiots should be paraded in orange suits whilst you wear signs that say: THICK LITTLE CHILD ALERT.
