  1. I'll take a shot at it, this sort of stuff is right up my alley. Do you want a sketch or do you want it colored?
  2. 5/10 as it's a pretty little forest scene but not much going on

  4. feel free to add me, I finally got it to work about a month after I joined...

  6. If you want to tell your thoughts, feel free to do so. :D If you have questions or something you think someone new to Falador would want to know, ask them also and we can answer them and build up a bank of questions to get enough material for an article.
  7. Random image in the the tile that goes with the theme of the Gallery. but we could spell the gallery, I think we have enough people (yeah we do) Shall we do letters then? If you want a particular letter just say, otherwise just call them as you do them. [T]: [H]: Jopie [E]: MrsChrystler [G]: pirate_felix [A]: hawkxs [L]: Insanity [L]: [E]: [R]: [Y]: littleboy

Super excited about the album, I was listening to United States of Eurasia for the first time and was like, "This is almost Queen'. (Matt is probably the only person who even comes close to having the same vocal range as Freddie Mercury- he could do a nice tribute album if he wanted to) Really looking forward to it, kind of disappointed that they only have like 5 concerts in the US so far and they're all in like New Jersey. But it's Muse. They can do no wrong. Also looking forward to 'Plug In Baby' which will be on Guitar Hero 5 in September.

I go back on the 8th of September. Kind of looking forward to it, kind of not because I know my schedule will get screwed up by the school...

Rusco is epic. I know it's not amazingly helpful, I think you can get more help by reading this and asking any more questions you have there.
  11. GIMP has a plugin available to do that, I'm not sure how good it is though.
  12. When you log in, Ff should give you a little bar at the top that says 'Remember password for ..." and Remember, Not Now, and Never as options. Choose Remember and then log in and log out. Then check the box next to the login thing that says 'log me in automatically' and log in. You should be set.
  13. It can be anything as long as it doesn't break forum rules... So no swearing/nudity etc. Nothing against 'advertising' the forum so to speak though. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do. I'm thinking of tackling a pixel book. The pixel bit kind of died but...
  14. Question that I probably should have asked yesterday: Can groups eliminate the border on the inside of their larger square? Like if we did a 2x2 square, could we get rid of the borders on the inside of the square? Gallery thread: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=805302
  15. I was raised on MSOffice so I'm used to it. Plus my school switched from MSOffice to OpenOffice and installed a VERY limited edition of it (can't use any templates) and made us do PowerPoints in Impress or whatever. Was super dumb when they had money that needed to be spent in the Tech department and decided to buy netbooks for the jr. high kids and downsize labs in the hs when my class will still be in the hs while they're doing that and we aren't getting netbooks. Plus they have a freaking site license for PS but apparently can't afford one for Office which is the program that the students need more than PS. GIMP is free and practically identical to PS. There's almost no learning curve in switching (other than the additional features PS has in its color choices and brush options which aren't required to use). Open Office is completely different from MSOffice, the menu choices are in extremely strange places. Only useful thing is that oo can save straight to pdfs. Mostly just I hate OO more than MSOffice. And I feel that while it's very possible to create open-source programs as good as or better than their for-profit counterparts (GIMP [PS], Firefox [iE], Blender [3dsMax]), OpenOffice is not up to par yet and I don't think it will be soon.
  16. ^ That right there is epic. Will be amazing if we manage to fill it up.
  17. Original thread in OT: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=805281 Groups of users can get together and decorate tiles with themes. In this case we'd be doing tiles for/about the Gallery. Anything goes. If you want to do one for the gallery square post and I'll add you to the list. This is similar to the pixel board that was done here a while ago. [hide=Individual Tile]We may be able to remove the borders that will be inside the square when finished. 18. We've got two users from Varrock and one from Falador; however those forums aren't that active so I'd wait until tomorrow to see what we get. I'll add a topic in the Gallery ASAP.
  19. I would imagine so. I think that Archi and Ratchet might want to do a nod to Snake and Noob. idk why I think that though. But anything that 'goes' with Varrock would go... Haven't thought how I'm going to do mine yet.
  20. In the future, I'd use GIMP because it has the option to save at different quality/compression levels with jpg and generally jpgs in paint don't look that amazing... Plus GIMP has guides that are really helpful for aligning the images. Sorry I like to suggest Gimp for even the most pointless things.
  21. I noticed you're saving the grid as a gif. You might want to save it as a jpg (not sure what program you're using, I assume GIMP) with a decent quality so the colors aren't as messed up (gif has to index colors and only uses a certain number of them, which saves memory at the expense of color. jpg when done properly takes up little space and has decent color) If you want I can do a test of the jpg and see how big it is. EDIT: jpg version is 221Kb at 95 quality. I could probably put it down to 90 but it'd still be much bigger. I'd still recommend a final version as a jpg or possibly a png (though it'd be huge) EDIT: Lolz, my png version is 121kb and looks better than jpg. EDIT: @doomsavenger: most of those topics have been 'pixel a tile' or 'siggy a tile' boards more suited to the gallery... this one's more random and anybody can do anything they want with their tile.
  22. -The Great Tip.it Grid- The Great Tip.it Grid: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=805281&start=0 We can do a forum group tile if we want, each user does a piece and they can match or not or whatever. just has to be about Fally. [hide=Your Tile]Each user has this tile to show some aspect of Falador Library. If we want we can probably take the border off the edges that will be on the inside of the square. [/hide] People willing to do tiles ((X)=done): ( ) hawkxs (X) archimage_a
  23. See the full details in the thread in OT: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=805281 Anyway, if any of the users here want to do a collab square, post and we'll figure out how many squares we need to reserve. Promote the amazing Varrock Library! [hide=How big is this square?]Each user does a square this big, I think we can remove the black border on the inner edges if we do a 2x2 square or larger. [/hide] People willing to do squares: hawkxs issy2
  24. I meant a 2x2 square sorry.. Yeah I'ma go see in Varrock who wants to do a square and we'll base how many spaces we need of of that... Probably only 4 but you never know. EDIT: Planning topic in Varrock: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=805298&start=0 I'll do one in Falador too if anyone wants to do one from there.
  25. Could groups of users do a 4x4 for the Gallery/Tech and Computers/Varrock/Falador? It'd fill up space nicely and they're kind of in the OT part as they're not related to Rs...
