Can I reserve my spot at 7x7? I know it's by order posted, but I think you may as well let people who want to reserve spots as it's not likely they'll finish the squares anytime fast.

Things you do that you think no one else does
I pop my toes, also I wet my toothbrush, put toothpaste on it, then wet it again (a suprisingly large number of use tip.iters do that, there was a weird habits topic a while ago). I use safely eject hardware usually unless it says 'drive is busy' then I just pull it out. I smell any kind of meat because I am really sensitive to bad meat (it tastes really nasty to me even if it doesn't 'go bad' for a few days; I have to have the kind that comes in a plastic tub because deli meat always goes bad to me really fast.)

Why Firefox is better than IE?
Because IE is not up to web compliant standards. I use FF3.5 because I finally drilled it though my dad's thick skull that there are huge security holes in IE6 that were NEVER fixed by Microsoft because the comp it was on is still running Win2000. The XP still has IE7 on it, it's okay I guess, but there are a ton of features in FF that I miss in IE. FF comes with a spell checker and a ton of sweet add ons and skins. It's way better at displaying web pages and is MUCH faster. The way it downloads files is much more secure and can be changed with addons to make downloads go even faster. There are also a bunch of addons that help web developers. Plus I like free stuff and anything to hate on Microsoft. (only reason I keep it is because Office is better than OpenOffice.)

Do you pray?
I don't generally. If it is, it's just something like 'please let whatever happen/not happen' and in the end the outcome I want usually happens. I think I find myself agnostic now (I used to believe in God as in a Christian god, then crap happened and I don't think that way), although I respect other people's choices in religion, I find it pointless to worship someone when that's not how I feel an all-knowing being would want his people to do. But it really makes me angry when people don't embrace science. Like the girl with diabetes (which really hits home, because I have diabetes.) in the story and the kid a while ago who ran away because his parents didn't want him to have chemo. If you seriously believe that much in your god, you should believe that he put those people (scientists and doctors) on earth to help others. You can believe that it's your god's doing that there's modern medical science to save people. But you shouldn't disregard it. If it's there and could help you, you need to use it. Once again, God only helps those who help themselves.

CD Burner?
Nero is insane but a good program once you figure out which of the programs to use (some insane Nero suite came with a CD/DVD burner my dad bought). If you use windows, it should have come with a free edition of Roxio CD burner which works well in my experience for burning music CDs from Windows Media Player.

Laptop USB Ports have stopped working
I have a Dell Inspiron 9300 running Windows XP (SP3 I think), and very recently the USB ports stopped working. There are 6 on the computer, and the external CD/DVD drive, my flash drive, the wireless mouse, and my mp3 player USB cord won't work in any of them. I think they stopped working today, I'm not sure though, becuase my dad had plugged in his TB external HD and it worked yesterday. He downloaded this 'Norton Add-On Pack' and I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it. My account is a restricted one, if that helps.

Sticky updates
If we could get the Falador Library added to that list as well (the forum descriptions in the 2nd post) that'd be great.

Isass.exe
I'm running Windows 2000 w/ Norton and in my task manager it shows up in all uppercase. It might be because of norton that is shows up differently (no it's probably not. but you never know with norton) If it's the only 'lsass' program running I wouldn't be too worried about it because it probably is the Local Security whatever plus if you've run a virus scan and nothing popped up. See what hobgoblinpie said. Slightly less memory used on Win2000 but same program.

How does this sound?
I hurry into Varrock, my hood conceals my features, but the guards know only a few crazy enough to be out in the dark, damp night. Turning northward, I pass two buildings before stepping onto the porch of the third. I remove my hood, revealing a garish hat and a shaggy head of hair. The large oaken door invites me in, and as I move to open it, it swings inward, releasing the glow into the night. I step in and hang my cloak on the wall. I notice Archi has left his post tonight, the games must be good. I hurry back through the shelves, noticing those old scrolls covered in dust, and newer books bound in leather, well-used and loved. The light gets brighter as I walk, and I pause to remove a small notebook from a shelf labeled Hawk. The notebook is brightly colored and sheaves of paper are falling out I should get a new one soon. From a pocket in my tunic I reveal a small bag. I sit down at the large table, across from where I notice Archi watching and waiting. I deposit the contents on the table with a clatter. Ive carried my special dice and miniature from my home in Falador. I realize that Archi is Gamesmaster tonight, and grin with anticipation. My friends sit around the table and have similar things spread out in front of them. Twas a dark and dreary night, not unlike tonight, Archi began, and with a wave of his hand extinguished all of the candles but those dripping wax onto the table. I saw another group farther away; it must have been the zombie role-players. Who would like to start? The night has fallen, and it is high time to begin. Although, here in Rusco, it is early day. Hawk and Wizz, you are together and Hawk is finally conscious. The rest of you have been here more recently and should be acquainted with your players position. Ill start, is that good, Wizz? I say. Yeah, were in the forest area right there, Wizz says, pointing to a few squares on the map. I place my miniature on the square next to Wizz. Weve got to find others, and get together. I dont know if we have winter here, but if there is, its coming soon. I propose we gather food and not those berries, either. Ill fish and see if I can find some small animals. We need their hides Wizz adds. You can complete that task. How long would you like to look and gather food? the Gamesmaster states. Well look until noon. Ill get back to you later. Whos next? In case you were wondering, this is a little taste of what happens in that building I spoke of earlier, the Falador Library. Its a bit strange, as its in Varrock, but named after Falador. Its where we role-players gather and have some fun. Youre welcome to join us, you just need to talk to Archi, whos usually at the front desk. We have a lot of different role plays, but sadly a lot of our members have given up on their old games, especially after the fire that we lost most of our records in. Wed like some new blood, and if you like to role play (who in Gilenor doesnt?) you should come visit us. Even if you dont want to run a game, weve got plenty just waiting for avid players. The other game I was talking about, the zombie one, is pretty interesting. We seem to have an obsession with zombies Anyway, the game is called Zombea, and its essentially you fighting for your survival against the zombies. Its a lot more fun than it sounds, and the players get really in depth. Its the most popular after Rusco, which Ill get to in a minute. There are a large variety of role-plays held within the Falador Library. Most are your traditional fantasy/medieval role-plays. We also have a sci-fi one, a couple of modern-day mafia types, and a few others that I neglect to mention. Theres also the opportunity to gather a group of people and create a whole new role-play. Rusco is a big story world. Thats the best way I can describe it. Your player is put into a whole new world, and you band together with other players in an open-ended game. People play their characters however they want, so you could be betrayed or helped or possibly even killed. Its a very imaginative place and you can do most anything. When we dont get together and play, you keep a journal of your characters travels and doings. Its an interesting way of doing things and it has worked well so far. I know my piece is quite short, but I hope Ive helped you understand more about how our little Library works. Come in anytime and browse our archives of stories and characters. Theres a lot to be had in the Library, and wed love to have you. Were a fun loving group, and most anything goes. Authors Note: It might be a bit confusing I apologize for that in advance. The library I speak of (or rather my character speaks of, which is why its confusing) is the Falador Library, which is in the forums, and can be read by any registered member of the forums. (Its under the Varrock Library, in General Discussions, if you dont frequent that area.) You can join the Library by sending a PM to the moderator in charge (archimage_a), and I highly suggest reading all of our rules/suggestions before joining a role-play. That said, wed love to have you come play!

Interesting Developments - UPDATE: FORUM FEATURE WIP
CURRENT UPDATE: 8/27 - I like writing very large. We're working on a so-called 'forum feature' similar to the community spotlight of the TET that happened recently. The last fourish posts pertain to that. Please offer your thoughts and suggestions! Clan Chat (Fally): fallylibrary If your RSN isn't public but you want to be in the clan, pm it to me. [hide=Original Post]So. First compiling a list of active members of Fally. People who have posted in the last month or so. Cabbage_Boii Seer mrk252 wizzkid785 doomsavenger LiChef who_am_i ratchet537 archimage_a hawkxs Okay. I think that if we are to make a useful feature for the Times, it should be in a way that has worked in the past (in this case a very long ago past). The way I propose is an interview of the people in Falador. I think it will work, as a group sort of thing. If we compile a list of questions, and everyone chooses a few to answer (or you answer all and we edit it so we get the 'best' answers) and we put it together, I think it would make an informative article about Falador. So a couple of questions to begin with, if you think of others feel free to add them and also give your answers/thoughts. 1. What is the Falador Library, and how does it work? (in your words) 2. Why did you join? 3. What is your favorite role play in Falador, and why? We'll also include details on joining Falador and stuff like that I guess.[/hide]

Repairing Converse Soles?
I have an awesome pair of purple high top Chucks that have been through a lot, though I've only had them for about 4 months. The rubber sidewall on one of the shoes is cracking where it bends in the toe. I can't think of a way to fix them though. Do they make some sort of flexible rubber repair kit? I've been told rubber cement is water-soluble, so I don't think it would work. [hide=Massive pic, crack is near the toe][/hide] It's gotten bigger since this pic was taken.

Can someone give me links to GIMP pattern packs? I'm looking for one that looks like the paper sewing patterns are printed on in particular.

What You Consider Attractive in Men and Women
I'm really quite surprised at this... I appear to have most of the traits that you people find attractive. Though I'd never wear heels; I can wear hockey skates, but no heels.

Looking for new headphones. sennheiser or skullcandy?
I think I'll get the Skullcandy ones, they look pretty cool and I can't find any Sennheisers I like and can afford. Plus my friend treats her headphones the same way I do (shove em in a bag, the cord gets all tangled, etc) and they've lasted a while (at least a year, which is more than my current pair has lasted). I'm not sure which ones they are, they are comparable to the DJ ones, she said they were $50 or so.

Looking for new headphones. sennheiser or skullcandy?
My current pair of clip-on earphones is having issues with the end of the cord (which may be repairable- it crackles in and out when you bend the cord). Anyway, I'd like another pair of clip-on earphones that are known to not have issues with the cord. I've been looking at Sennheisers, but I've read that the cords can break... Does anyone have the OMX 60 VC (http://www.sennheiserusa.com/private_he ... ine_502541) and what do you think of them? A friend of mine has a pair of SkullCandy headphones, and I'd be willing to try massive ones... But I've heard bad things about them from people on Tif. I'm kind of wary of $40 for a pair of earbuds (see Asym: http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/lowrider-p-139.html . Has anyone owned either of these or a SkullCandy product in general? I really like the braided cord instead of the normal rubber ones, it seems to be more flexible. On Amazon the Lowrider in green/black is only $30, I'd definitely buy them for that, what do you think?

Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
I call Sweden. We will attack all those who do not allow the expansion of the Swedish furniture empire. Plus we have Swedish meatballs which could be used in such an attack.

Hypocrites
True that. This is why I play a male character in RS. I assume that you have, in fact, shot a bow in real life? Archery is a most rewarding pastime, I wish I had a good bow... (But I have to make do with my brother's crappy one. :x ) It's not particularly flowing/articulate, but it makes its point well. :D

Cartoon Network...
I miss the days when Looney Tunes was on from like 8 to 11 on Saturday mornings. My dad has an obsession with it though so we have all 6 Golden Collections. Total Drama Island/Action is so dumb I find it funny. It's kind of addicting to watch if you can get past the inherent stupidity of the show to begin with. I don't ever watch Adult Swim... I used to watch Ed, Ed, and Eddy but then I decided it was stupid (and was banned from watching it)... too much 'buttered toast!'. Also watched Dexter's Lab, it was amusing... used to watch the powder puff girls as well. Billy and Mandy is entertaining, I didn't see Foster's a lot before it was cancelled but it seemed like a decent show. Slamball is epic. I'm loving the fact that it's on CN.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince [REVIEW]
I personally thought it should have been PG-13 (Draco/Harry duel in the bathroom? yeah kind of creepy if you were a kid) and there should have been more violence, especially in the end where the DA was supposed to fight the death eaters. Otherwise I thought it was a good movie, they messed up when they brought Bella/Grayback/Narcissa to the Burrow though. That was just dumb. I did enjoy Bella's obsession with lighting things on fire though. The romantic bits I think were well done, it seemed a lot like it did in the book. They missed the whole 'wizards are involved in the muggle world' scene with scrimegour and Kingsley (would have been epic. 'he's the most efficient secretary I've had!') and the whole Tonks (you couldn't recognize her either!)/Lupin thing (plus that they aren't exactly in a relationship) and the Bill is now a werewolf/he and Fleur are together and Harry-inherited-all-of-Sirius'-stuff. I enjoyed the excessive amount of drunken/stoned acting though. (Harry with the lucky potion, Ron with the love potion, Slughorn/Hagrid after Aragog's funeral)
