  1. If I ever want to sell mine, I'll ask you for the site! I can't believe Shammys got another nerf  The forums atm are so funny. In a way, I think the trinket thing is a bit of an UD nerf. Loads of people roll an undead X just because of WotF, but with the update, although it still takes up a trinket slot, people might consider a different class.
  2. And for the record, as your London 2012 logo doesn't give me an epilectic fit, it's got my vote!
  3. That entire movie is a travesty! Especially to the original TV series. But the soundtrack lives on in the lives of legends.
  4. Mages are some of the best 1v1ers in the game, hell I've seen well geared and skilled ice mages take on 2-3 people at once. Yeah, we've all seen Vurtne :P
  5. I, for one, look forward to The Simpsons' movie, because it will signal the overdue end of a tired, exhausted, jumped-the-shark, sell-out, unfunny series. The last time I laughed at an episode was in Series 4. How long ago was that?!
  6. I thought the same, but you can make a big difference. Being that someone who's there for that person when they need them the most, while as the friend we may not truly comprehend, we are shown by the love and friendship we receive from the person in need. Basically, it may not seem much, but being there for someone is the gift that they wish for.
  7. I was literally just wondering if you were still around before I logged in today. Praise smeg that you are. A great idea :) I look forward with aplom

    bnp part 2

So, you're trying to tell me that the BNP, whose leaders have been filmed inciting racial hatred, actually support these migrants, but not the others, who other parties do? Get the smeg out.
  9. My girlfriend getting the all clear : :) :D
  10. I've heard that if you eat 5 bananas consecutively, your bowels explode, due to the potassium overload, and you poo yourself. True?
  11. I think an Orc Hunter would be best for you, +pet damage and stun resist is always nice :)
  12. In all honesty mate, coming from you (given our past), that means a lot. Thank you. Hodgkin's Lymphoma. In my girlfriend's words: "If you were rating cancer, this one would be held back a year" - that seriously made me laugh, yet cry :P It has a high success rate and I'm glad she's re-affirming it ^-^ So, so glad. I mean, so glad. I just...blah. Can't find the words! :P Going to get a tissue >.<
  13. Music and Movies board? But most definately, listening to music is very often the catalyst for many things I do. You picked some good examples there, they do make you contemplate. The same way Eminem might motivate someone before sport, or a piece by Mozart can help relax (or equally inspire). I couldn't imagine doing nearly anything without music.
  14. Is that code for the DW Mafia? :P Hell no. I avoid DW like the plague. :) Fight the Darkwebz side!
  15. Haha, damn right it does \ The thing is, people have it worse, much worse. Some folks here might have even had it so. However, you highlight the point of the thread too, by saying it's an uplifting story. I hope it really can be for people. Other than that, I'm just so damn happy I'm telling everyone I know :
  16. If given radiotherapy, they can. Thankfully, her course has been all chemotherapy.
  17. Note: Poor Scouser Tommy Hello all. As some of you may or may not have known, 2007 has been a pretty bad year for me. In fact, 2007 has been the worst year of my life. Compunded by the loss of the Mighty Liverpool Reds, failing with gallantry where many can only dream of treading. I was diagnosed with a kidney disease (Membraneous Nephropathy) which cripples me from time to time, along with my new found anaemia, which leaves me sweating and spewing like Pete Sampras - minus the talent. I lost my place in a university many would sell their right arm to get into, through a combination of my own ignorance and their ineptitude. However, the most devastating news of all was: my girlfriend, my beautiful, caring girlfriend, was diagnosed with cancer, a piece of news no-one expects to hear, nevermind at the age of 18, and while I mourned over her illness, I can't begin to imagine the strain the ordeal has had on her. What could I do? Through friendship and love, I've learnt that wallowing in misery will get me nowhere, hence me never mentioning it until now. Friendship gave me determination, desire and devotion to do all that I can to help myself and her. And today, I sit here with my kidneys entering spontaneous remission, an unconditional offer to a university ranked within the top 5 for English, the course I always wanted, and with a beaming smile after hearing the greatest news I could hear in my life. My girlfriend was given the all clear from cancer. Something, somewhere, whether it be through science, through luck, through destiny or some other power (right now I just don't care) has given us the gift of life all over again. Something I will cherish forever, knowing that so many unfortunate people in this world are not given, some more deserving than I, some far more deserving. I'm sorry for not leaving much of a discussion for you people, but I just wanted to tell the world. I'm so in love with this woman, something I've never had before as well, so, so in love with her (I'll stop now, you can put the sick bags down!) I'm just so happy for her. In my vain hope I wish this story can bestow strength and belief in other people who need it now or later in life. This, so far, has been the worst year of my life, but right now, I've never been happier to be so alive.
  18. Ah, Avril Lavigne. That's the one who turned her back totally on her last image to adopt a new [bleep]ty one, because she knew it would boost her sales? Oh yeah. Love her.
  19. I wouldn't say your depressed really, mate. For one, you've recognised the good parts you had or still have and can specify what it is that's getting you down. I think it's nothing more than that, a slump, if you will. Makes it no less of a travesty, by the way, I do feel for you, sincerely. But, because of the fact you know why things are getting you down, leads me to believe that you can work out the problem as well, and I believe you can mate! :D
  20. Slap yourself across the face and realise just how lucky you really have it. You had a band. You have a mom. You had a girlfriend. You're already better off than 95% of people who've ever lived. Take the rough with the smooth, but take the smooth Barry White smooth.
  21. Post count means diddly squat. I felt I had to say that. However, it may seem like I'm always 'flaming' people only because I post more than others :P Going on a post:flame ratio, I'd say we're all about even. Except Carlin, what a guy... Too many people have come and gone to list them all. Sonsie, I really miss him. Cracking guy and probably the one man who loves Red Dwarf more than me. Good OT'ers for me are the ones who can mix it up. Have a good laugh, good banter, yet also post helpfully and inform as well. I mean, if someone just dixie chicks about all day, it's good, but slightly tedious (with exceptions, think: Sir_Alex XD), similarly, the hyper-polite or aggressive are boring in the same way. But meh, 'rating' people on a forum is the first step to madness and no-lifing, to be honest. So long as I, and you all, can continue to visit here and have a good time posting, we're all good OT'ers.
  22. Academically, not such a big step up as every teacher will have you believe, but a step up, nevertheless. Socially? My God...
  23. What indy and jackalope said. :P
  24. Oh contrare, the filter was first used far back in the beginning of the game, way before the OoC was even thought of.
