  1. I like tripping because it's realistic. Since you can trip in real life, that just makes the game so much more realistic.... Makes the game hardcore...
  2. Argh.. I hate that song.. Now I don't want to play this anymore...
  3. I'll try it out, seems like it might require a lot of movement though...
  4. Hack and slash games where most of your time was spent gathering items. With all the randomly generated dungeons, monsters, character builds, and of course items; you had a lot to do.
  5. Patapon is a pretty cool game. It's a strategy beat style game where depending on what series of drum beats you play, your Patapons will follow through with that action. The game is split up into missions (Over 30) and you can go on hunts and fight the bosses as many times as you like. You create your army with six different classes, but you can only use three at a time. Depending on the class, each individual Patapon can be outfitted with weapons and armor, and you can use rare materials to create some unique Patapons. The game is pretty cheap too, about $15 brand new last time I saw it.

Oooooooooooooookkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk...... The finals have begun :D. And do you guys want me to start the next tournament right after? Or should we wait a few weeks? I'd like to make it a double-elimination style :).

  10. Tales of Symphonia for Wii and Fallout 3 for PS3.
  11. Starcraft is basically a sport like baseball, or soccer in Korea. Players get sponsored by big corporations like Samsung. In the OSL, first place prize is about $40,000 USD with second place being half. And since most players are around 20 years old, that's quite a fair bit of cash. It was from a commentary, but considering that pro gamers are basically celebrities in Korea, it's not surprising. The games are broadcast on TV, the players get interviewed, and probably end up on magazine covers and such. I mean, take a look at Brad Pitt. He's considered one of the most attractive men in the world, and many women would love to see him live. It's the same thing, fans want to see their favorite players so they go to tournaments to watch.

    I'll go online.
  13. About 10+ hours/40 games a day. And there are much better ways of doing a lot of things. It also depends on the individual too. What could be a fun, better, whatever way for you, doesn't mean it is for others. The audience is usually 70% female, unless Tossgirl is playing; then it's 70% male :P. And I like the openings :P.

Want to play some games in about half an hour?
  15. I'm referring to the Korean pro Starcraft scene. They have a number of teams (14 I believe) who spend their time practicing together. Most players were part of a clan and ended up joining one of the major teams to continue their career. It's kind of hard not to make friends. As for the fangirls thing... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mA7IrRXoYEk It's kind of hard not to hear their screams...
  16. What's wrong with playing games with your friends all day, playing in tournaments and having a large fanbase of fangirls?

    The deadline is this Friday.
  18. JRPGs are more linear, with most of the game being about the storyline and characters. Standard RPGs are more customizable, allow you to do "anything" you want, and are less linear. The storyline isn't as important as it is in JRPG's. You usually play as some person trying to figure out what to do next.
  19. Sony's conference was the best imo. They showed a number of games I want to play. Nintendo... Not so much :S. E3 isn't over yet though, so we'll have to wait and see if there'll be any more big announcements.

I got half second lag with Kent. Which is enough to annoy me :P. I'm also wondering if anyone has noticed this. When I'm playing, my character will randomly turn to face the opposite direction, usually when I'm attacking. This is extremely annoying and really messes me up. I think it might be my controller since it's as old as my Gamecube, which is about five years old. I'll have to try my other controller, since it's a bit newer and hasn't been used as much.
