I'm one of those funny Christians who will enjoy sex for both procreation and intimacy safely within the bounds of marriage. And you don't have to abstain from sex if you don't want a child in marriage, you can use a variety of techniques to not get pregnant in the first place. Never said you shouldnt, only that you should be ready to reap what you sow if you are not prepared.

I disagree with him. And there are about 2.5 billion Christians in the world, thats a big following. Not all are Catholic. I don't even know what the new Pope's name is. I have volunteered in adoption centers several times, mind you. I'm sure the mother feels less emotional trauma when she treats the unborn child like unwanted waste bye-product instead of the cute warm fuzzy baby. Of course, I am under the bold claim that if the mother is not in a position to have a child, she should not be having sex in the first place.

You said 'contreception' (contraception) which means PREVENTING conception. I believe you meant that life begins at CONCEPTION, meaning when the sperm enters the egg. It is funny because saying 'life begins at contraception' sounds a bit like a slogan of some sort. Haha, thanks for the correction. Yeah, this morning I was not exactly playing with a full deck. 1. Not at all. Abortion itself is not a sin, but murdering falls under the 10 commandments. I believe full well that life begins at contreception. We consider single-celled organisms to be life, yes? What sets apart this single-celled organism is the fact that it WILL be a child. 2. I do not have the right to impose my views on others. That would be vigilanteism. But the government has that right. If the majority of the people in a state wish something to happen that is within consitutional means, I see no problem with it happening. 3. Oh my God. These posts make me want to cry. Self-gratification is actually heathy for you. I believe I read a study somewhere that said men who self-gratificate are about half as likely to get prostate cancer. It attacks your judgement? I've never see anyone run home just so they can do something like that. People use the word addiction too liberally. Arousal forms chemicals in your brain, and too many of these chemicals acts like drugs, and has addictive effects. Over time, it can completely change someone's behavior. I never doubted that. But thats if you only do it lightly. Having a sip of wine every day is healthy for your heart, but excessively is bad for you. Same with self gratification. Read the posted articles. It's sad, but there are over 300,000 Americans checked into rehab for sexual addiction. It is believed that there are over 700,000 more who have symptoms, but have not talked to a doctor. It affects both men and women. People often do not know it exists (like in your case) and therefore are unaware of the consequences. You do realize that after 30 minutes of love making, the man and woman are technically so high off of sexual chemicals that they are legally intoxicated, right? The same applies to self gratification if it is done more than 8 times in a day. This keeps these sexual chemicals from clearing out, and the effect builds. Welcome to enlightenment, and never criticize someone without looking up the facts. My post did not orginally attack those who self gratificate, just those who are addicted to it chemically. Many porn stars are forced into crack habits to try and get over the moral disdeeds that they have performed. Of any occupation in the US, pornography features the highest suicide rate. I'm sure it sounds cool at first, but once you get past the free sex, it's really a sad world for desperate men and women.

Self gratification is bad for you, if you do it often enough. It produces marijauna-type effects, attacks your judgement, and will affect your behavior like any other addiction. The same effect happens to people who have sex to much. And there are hundreds of thousands of people in the US alone who are addicted to pornography. The porno sites would not be open if there wasnt.
