Bullying...
When you say you can bench 280 is that kilograms or pounds? Just so I can get a better Idea Pounds, oh lord in pounds :P. Now I can barely do 180, since I haven't really been lifting in a while. Most of my excercise these days is running or biking. I can only leg press 700 now :(. Also note that I was playing football at the time, and it was regimented weight gain. If you just want to bulk up for the ladies, I suggest 150 bench and do lots of curls with a 20-40 lb weight. And work your way up to it slowly. Don't start out at those weights or you will die :).

Isn't beer and alcohol bad for you??
It's no problem, and nothing to do with your post. As I reread your post, it makes sense to me, but at first glance I was confused. I just want to make sure some of our more impressionable forum-goers don't get the wrong idea. There are guys here who haven't the foggiest idea what beer does to thier bodies, only that it is "cool" to drink it. EDIT: Last sentence is referring to guys at my Uni. Who are even of the legal age.

Isn't beer and alcohol bad for you??
But you said "you have to drink strongly to die from alcohol." A girl here died after 6 shots because she had anemia. And some large guys (and gals) may not even feel drunk when hypoxia and alcohol poisoning sets in. Drinking in moderation is not defined clearly.

If your small enough, pushups and situps are enough to bulk you up a more than a bit. I went from barely being able to do 15 girly pushups to doing handstand pushups without any other excersize. Keep it up, though. I used to be able to bench 280 and leg press 750 when I played football. I stopped playing and only ran, so now I have weak arms but strong legs. That muscle will turn to flab fast. And holy cow these BBQ wings are hot.

Actually, you can drink enough in 3 hours to kill you. We've had kids die of alcohol poisoning here.

Abortion Opinions (no flaming)
Well, a decrease in abortions tends to lead to an increase in births, Dusqi. And yes, it's impossible to be 100% accurate. However, all 4 states surrounding Texas (New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana) have the same law in effect. A girl in San Antonio would have to travel over 1000 miles in any direction to escape the notification act. And I wouldn't trust a complex surgery to a border Mexican town. The parents deserve to know. If they don't already know, it means the girl is only seeking the abortion to keep her parents from finding out, and that is exactly the thing I am against. Getting an abortion for the sake of getting out of trouble is wrong.

I don't know about you, but I have had tons of fun at dry parties. Yes, fun dry parties at one of the biggest "party schools" in the US.

It's very good excercise, but bulking up should really concentrate on weights. It will help out with agility and stamina, though. Very good for the heart as well.

things you cant go without.
To add: Gatorade > Lucozade + Powerade. It gives you the right mix of sugars in the best amount to give you energy replenishment in exercise. Not to mention it tastes really good compared to the other two. It actually tastes like a fruit drink instead of colored water. But don't drink too much of the stuff, you'll get cavities to end all cavities.

Karate won't buff you up, Darkrick, but it is a good idea. Martial arts can make the physically weak on par with the strong (and unknowledged). Ask your martial arts instructor to practice non-styled attacks against you (ie jock punching) and learn how to block and parry. The last time anyone messed with me was 8 years ago, and I roundhoused him in the clavicle. A moderately weak kick dropped the guy and he was rolling on the floor unable to move. That's how strong Karate is. However, physical defense is nothing compared to your mental defense. As Rick said, stare the guy down. Don't back down, don't cower, don't bargain. Accept no less than his withdrawal. If he pushes you, step back up. Do not take a physical approach unless there is no other option. By the time he gets angry enough to use violence, a teacher will have most likely found out about the incedent and broken it up. He will get into trouble, and your peers will find new respect for you. Keep up the good fight, Zeeky.

Isn't beer and alcohol bad for you??
When I said alcohol could have beneficial health effects I was answering claims that it was terribly unhealthy. I was not claiming that it was the best way of keeping your heart healthy. I was claiming drinking alcohol is not anything like as bad as the original poster (who I even quoted in my reply) seemed to believe. With that in mind, I couldn't care less if a Hershey's bar is better than alcohol for the health for your heart, it has nothing to do with the point I was making. I honestly didn't think my point was too hard to comprehend. Obviously I was wrong, since it went straight over your head (or is that normal?). Well, then. You certainly could have said it more nicely in your first post. And when I was commenting in the first place about the Hershey's bar, it was to the original poster, not to you. Which really means you just attacked me. And I agree with the guy a couple of posts above this. Its a double standard that there are a large number of alcoholics and we are worried about marijauna. I call for Prohibition to be reinstated so that the weed people are treated fairly.

http://www.todayonline.com/articles/105712.asp The stats are off in that because it only counts 16-18 year olds. It's in almost every newspaper in the state. Warning, this is a download link below, and it is in PDF format. http://reprohealth.ucsf.edu/publication ... Ban on violent video games
Ours doesn't. I play games that have gore and blood like Red Orchestra or Day of Defeat. But the context of violence is not there. In those games, I am a soldier doing my duty. There is a difference between that, and games where your goal is to cause crimes like Grand Theft Auto. (Which is fun, but I can't stand San Andreas).

An odd question
This man speaks the truth. I am golden from the tan I get from marching band and I almost rarely get a pimple (from being white as paste and pimply like a...*insert simile here*). Tans toughen the skin, keep it healthy, and reduce acne. But yes, too much sun is a bad thing.

Abortion Opinions (no flaming)
I'd like to spawn some conversation here. A few years back here in Texas, a bi-partisan law was put in place that requires the parents of somone under the age of 18 to be notified if thier daughter seeks an abortion. Teen abortions made up 67% of the abortion rate in Texas (which is common across most states). That rate after 5 years is now down to 49%. A very noticable drop in abortions due to parents being involved. Just something to get the juices flowing.

Isn't beer and alcohol bad for you??
And taking anti-oxident tablets would be even better than a Hershey's bar. What's your point? This post isn't about alcohol vs Hershey's bars vs anti-oxident tablets. Alcohol is good for your heart. That is a fact. Just because it doesn't support whatever inane and uniformed point of view you've decided to take this time does not make it "crap". Your post, however, is crap. Well, your post is equally crap? You said in your first sentence that the topic is not talking about how healthy things are for your heart (anti-oxidants), then you come around and say that it is good for your heart and call my point of view crap because it does not support yours. Ok, makes sense to me. My point was that there are more easily accessable, cheaper, and healthier items out there that are better for you if you are drinking for health reasons.

Isn't beer and alcohol bad for you??
Drinking alcohol won't kill you. Infact, drinking every now and again can (debatably) be healthy for your heart. Drinking relaxes you and enhances experiences (for better or for worse). It can also give you a confidence boost. To sum up: people drink because they enjoy it. One Hershey's bar provides more antioxidants than a glass of wine can. And it's easier on the liver. So don't give me that crap about a glass of wine a day is good, eat a bloody Hershey's and feel better.

If you trust anything zeeky, trust that Barihawk got beat up all too often as a kid. :P Until puberty struck and I was suddenly bigger and stronger than the whiney-voiced pipsqueeks :P.

yeh man. violence is the new sex. Agree! Imagine games without any violence, imagine that you couldnt even kick someone... how boring would it be? Just "school" games.... Lol... ~komodo The most popular game on my Uni campus is Sudoku, a number game. After that come board games. Tetris and other puzzle games are non-violent. There are TONS of non-violent good games.

Ahhh I used to love saving those penguins in the games room... Which version was that? I barely remember the game, it was the 1991 edition when I was 5. Tons of shareware educational games came with our old old computer. I think they should come with the new ones. I want to see more educational games with fun gameplay. Like that house of the dead game where you typed to kill zombies.

Did Otherworldy Beings always do that?
Do you know that the person who originally said that is in fact a member of this forum? The person you are referring to is a staff member of the forum :P. And thats not exactly what I said, and I don't really care if he says it. He is just stating the truth.

Every child should be forced to play "Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing". I used that when I was little, and I saw a new version out at Wal-Mart the other day.
