Is it bricked, or literally broken? If it's bricked, you can eaily fix it with a pandora battery. Anyway, I have Monster Hunter Freedom 2, Crysis Core: Final Fantasy 7, gonna eventually get God of War, Star Wars Battlefront renegade squadron, and Untold Legends: The warriros code. Monster Hunter Freedom 2 is insane, but it's a love or hate with most people, as there isn't a storyline, really...Crysis Core was amazing, and battlefront was fun. Get Untold Legends for multiplayer. I'd recommend Custom Firmware though, it'll give you more access to the PSP, along with playing homebrew, Game Boy games and Game Boy Advanced, PSOne games,etc. PM me or some of the other guys that may know and we can give you easy info on Custom Firmware...

The good old days within the '90's up until about 2003-2004 were excellent. The 90's was the golden age, with Rugrats and Ren & Stimpy and...Well, other shows that I miss, like Rocko's Modern Life, etc. In 2001(ish), I remember the airing of Invader Zim, one of my most favorite and missed shows...I wonder if the rumors of it's return are true... Uh, anyway...Now, Nick and Cartoon Network are decrepit pieces of crap who are bent on putting idiotic and stupid shows to entertain the masses of children. What about us?? I'm 16 and still love to watch classic cartoons...But the new episodes of Spongebob are crap, the Fairly Oddparents are CRAP, and shows like Chowder make me wanna eat some chowder and throw up. :wall: I think the show I hate the most right now...No, the shows: 1) Total drama Island 2) Big Brother 3) Chowder 4) Flapjack 5) Hannah Montana 6) Man Vs. Wild The shows I love, thankfully, are either re-runs on Nicktoons Network or are airing right now, like House M.D.

For what we know the Earth has existed for 3-5 billion years and the sun for ~4 billion years. We do know that when stars "explode" they are very much shiny and many of them are shine much more than the Sun does. For all we, humans, know the Sun could explode at any moment. How do I back this up? Science books. The sun is a main sequence star. it isn't going to supernova or "blow up" as you say. Oh and he said the sun will shine no more billions of years from now, and you "corrected" him saying that the sun could explode at any moment which is oh so wrong. We know how old the earth is because of uranium half lives. Most likely the earth formed from the sun so they are relatively the same age. We have billions of years to go Oh and you know about this because you read it on some little Wikipedia article or perhaps a "science" website, even better: a google search! How remarkable! Well I, I spent some hours at my college's library reading about this. Reading about stars, how the Earth was formed, and the Sun. If you learned that in college, then thats kinda sad, 'cause I learned it in high school last year. Also, from what I learned, the Sun CANNOT become a black hole, and the supposed "Supernova" won't happen in our generation. So no, it won't explode at any given moment... Ya? Wasn't the world supposed to end in 2000 as well? It appears as if it's supposed to end whenever it feels like it. The polar shift? Hmm. Ya, from what I learned the polar shift isn't supposed to happen for a LONG time. If this is the cause, it won't cause the end of the world, but it will cause a global crisis in terms of machinery shutting down, and then we'll have to rebuild machines/electronics that fit with the opposite pole. Ok then! Hehe, I'll try Gamestop. I'm gonna go relax now, kinda nerve racking as I'm not sure if it will work--I just want it unbricked. :lol: And since it's Vista, you never know what will happen, therefore I've compiled three different methods in creating the stick or recovering the flash, including yours. If none work, my only hope is an XP with a memory card reader... #-o OR I can get something that will plug into my computer, like a Sony camera, with my memory stick in it, and use my bootcamped XP. *Sigh* Just gotta relax lol. I have everything at the ready, and now I just have to wait until the afternoon to go over my friends and test it and see if the easy installer works. If it does, then I'll post back here... I do have a couple of questions in my mind, but only one I want answered right away...Which files should I back up next time so I can access recovery mode? I've seen a couple of your posts and it seems like you hate sony without a reason (Except for the monitors) :|. The screen is a great addition, might get one for my slim and if the faceplate have something to do with it as well I'll just get one (If it isn't too expensive), shouldn't be to hard to make it fit for the slim. But I have to agree overall it's a worthless update and if someone like the theme you could probably copy paste the .rco files from future firmware updates. And you get to ask Littleboy to make you more PSP backgrounds :P And what does that have to do with anything? On topic: Well it's probably just a release to prevent Pandora, It's just one Pandora proof slim at the moment but there is still a lot of older versions out there so they probably released this one to get the attention from the older slim models to this one but I guess it's just wait and see until they bypass the pandora block, if anyone remember the "unhackable TA 82" you get what I mean. I guess it's time to get back to software exploits though :roll:. Meh, dark_alex will figure it out. And Prometheus, Noobz, everyone will always find a way to hack...Sony can't leave it unhackable, as they even have to hack it themselves to fix broken PSPs. So it should be fairly easy. I think if I can get the anti glare screen, then I shall get it and put it in, along with other awesome decorations for my PSP. :lol: But I'll never get a new PSP. Ever. Unless my PSP is perm. bricked, which is 100% unlikely, since that is almost impossible.

Ok, got it. :D I have a phat, so it looks like I'm all set. My first and really only question is...Can you usually access the recovery menu if the recovery folder within the game folder is lost? I think thats one of the reasons I can't access my recovery. Also, it might be because my flash0 drive was formatted, but I'm not sure. However, come to think of it, that sounds logical: maybe the problem is that all of my flash0 files are gone because of the format. So I think I might have to just use the recovery flasher, and remember to not press format next time haha. I'm not planning on ever installing Time Machine again, as it bricked me. I'm gonna try to recover it, I'll be happy. I'm gonna get access to a Vista today [hopefully], so I'll report back here if it works. Thanks for the help Vjulius. Oh, one last thing...Do you know of any places that might sell a spare battery? Wal Mart apparently sells the slim only, and I'm not sure about Gamestop...Ebay, maybe?

Thanks : The main problem was mixing the wrong Dc with Time Machine, I needed Dc4 and I installed seven, and thats when it initially bricked. I also forgot to mention that while it was bricked it seemed to upgrade to 4.01 M33 in a glitch, and thats one of the reasons of not being able to access the menu--I read that 4.01 M33 doesn't have a recovery menu. So my last option is to flash to 1.50 and then reinstall custom firmware. Thanks. I'll try the installer, hopefully it will work on a card reader. ;)

Luckily today I finally got custom firmware running...And just as everything was great... It bricked... :wall: ' I was able to get to my recovery menu, but I formatted my memory stick via the xmb, so it refuses to access it now... #-o It bricked when I was trying to install time machine to make my battery into a regular, and found out that I mixed it with Despertar del Cementario V7 and not V4. So I was wondering if I was able to access the menu before the format via the time machine, because that seems to be the case...When that was installed, it would go to this menu where it would reboot if you wanted to use the battery as a normal, etc and that would also allow me to boot into the recovery menu...So I was just wondering if anyone knew if I just need to put something back into the memory stick for it to be up and working again? Or do I need to make the entire magic memory stick over again? If thats the case, I cannot, because I officially don't have access to an XP computer until the start of school, so I can't do mspformat until then. The only computer I have access to at the moment is Vista, so my last option is to have someone give me pre-made pandora files, with the injected ipl, etc. So if anyone can do that that would be fantastic... Ok, changing the title now...Thanks for any help...

Huh, come to think of it, the anti-glare coating is definately something to consider...But again, Sony must be taking many steps to ensure no Custom Firmware on it. They might fail if Pandora's battery still works on it...And if thats the case, I might pick up the shiny new PSP. :

Well, moreover trying to install it. I've tried nearly everything; all auto programs which write the thing for you, I've followed countless guides...Ugh. It's very frustrating overall, and I've decided to see if anyone else would know. I've made my Pandora battery already, which leaves the Magic Memory Stick. I was using Vista to run PSP Grader and countless other things, but each seem to lead to one thing: I apparently need to logically format it. So I tried via my Mac, completely wiping it...Which didn't work. So I tried mspformat, which I found to be...Useless on Vista. I know of 5 people with an XP, which has the ability to run mspformat, otherwise they're Vista owners or Mac owners, like me. So that leaves me with the question: Is there any way to create a Magic Memory Stick on a Mac? Vista is out of the question, I decided to remove it from bootcamp, and if I need to use it, one of my friends has it. So, ya. Any possible way on a Mac? I'm fairly new still, but I've been doing a helluva lot of studying and have used many methods but am still open to thought. Thanks.

Bleh, I like the Phats because they can be hard modded with custom firmware. The steps Sony has taken to prevent custom firmware thus far haven't stopped the hackers, but this new model might be full proof...Maybe. Thats Why I'll stick with my Phat. :D
