lol i laugh at that. I remember when RS2 was just coming out the beta lasted well over a month. In fact f2p was only allowed to play for the last bit and that alone was close to a month I think. The members got to play the beta for long before that. But thats because it was basically an entire new game, new layout, avatars, everything. This isn't RS3, it's just a graphical update, so beta shouldn't last as long. Which reminds me, I should have put Beta testing for a game usually lasts a couple of weeks because Darkdude is right, some games beta test forever.

I think thats good in some cases, now we wouldn't have to listen to little brats (If they are brats) although not everyone is. Just...Er, most, I suppose.

Well, you don't have to be an [wagon] about it, I took a quick glimpse, sorry if I have a life and don't have the time to read the whole thing...Jesus... Even if the free version of RS does suck, it's still free, and the free things in life are always the best. You shouldn't take the for granted. After all, you won't be a member forever, and when you run out of membership and start crying, you'll at least be thankful for there being a free version [hopefully]. I'm sorry, SPACE COWBOY? Where's WoW or RS in any of this? Or even the other MMO's? I haven't heard of any of those MMO's before.

Remember, this is the actual game we're talking about right now. A database is less important than the actual focus, AKA the game. It'll last a couple of weeks.

Hate to tell you, but we pay too...Maybe not with $5.95 a month (Or whatever your currency may be), but with ads. Ads may not be a lot, but they can be detrimental to someone with a lower/older computer. Trust me, I had a ten year old Mac playing RS 'till a couple of weeks ago and got this new one, I KNOW what it's like to have a slow computer with ads. Uber LAG. Which is another thing, not everyone can afford membership either, and some may be lucky enough to have a old computer that was discounted, and play RS for fun...Why not, F2P is there. Sure, that may be an unreal scenario, but a more realistic one is a kid playing the game and can't become a member because their parents won't pay. And lastly, unless you payed for your membership from the beginning, you were F2P to, so stop disrespecting your roots. I feel bad for you if you are a person who immediately bought a membership because you wanted/needed more enjoyment from an expansion. So anyway, get out until you learn some respect. On Topic: I don't think this skill would be...Anything great, honestly. Entertainment is one thing that we already have in RS: Killing monsters, Treasure Trails, and money making to keep us on our toes. Honestly, performing to get rewards from NPC's would be boring to me. I don't think Runescape honestly needs this skill, but it's well constructed anyway. This wouldn't work. There's gotta be some sorta skill requirement. Or, you could make this into an assassin's skill suggestion, although it's been suggested and JaGex rejected it saying it's too dark for RS, it's just a suggestion. But ya, sorry, wouldn't work...Reward is too big, etc. Bounty Hunting sounds boring compared to assassin. And while this is a quest/skill topic, the quest is too easy foe a skill quest. And IO mean too easy.

Well, if my calculations are correct the velocity of speed times the square root of Pi equals a triple binomial plus a piece of cheese which makes your graphics card go completely berserk. Either that, or JaGex has yet another bug in HD. I personally think that it's a bug. If it was your graphics card, I don't think RS would be running well...And by that, I mean constant lag and the inability to even play in HD. It'll be fixed...Eventually.

HAHAHA! A few months? Beta testing for a game lasts no more than a couple of weeks first, then they finalize it and release it. LotR online, Halo 3 Beta, lasted no more than a few weeks, maybe more or less, I'm not sure (although I am sure not a couple of months or more). It's just to test the game so we can bring our queries to them and they can fix it. This thread has been giving me some laughs, as the HD graphics will be for F2P, they said it in their news post. This thread is overall funny, JaGex should and WILL keep to their word of giving F2P the graphics update. Full screen? Probably not. It would be unbelievably generous of them, however. So my estimate would be a couple of weeks, maybe more. But I know it won't be months, that would be rediculous.

Just followthe green orb that travels between screens--thats a general guide to which screen you should be looking at (basically for beginers, you'll get used to it).

JaGex is trying to compete with other companies by upping their graphics 'cause nowadays, graphics are important, because kids have no lives...And want to play a game thats so authentic that it's almost liker eal life. Anyway, excuse my tangent. They're upping their graphics to get graphics obsessed players or people that like graphics. If they can't run it, upgrade the computer. If you can't do that, oh freakin' well. But the point is you don't have to play it on this detail. But compared to other games, the graphics still aren't good. I mean, sure, the graphics unfortunately apply, but remember the RuneScape community has a big gaping divide, one half divided into idiots and the other respectable intelligent people. It'a been said and done, because of the rude community, our MMO isn't like a regular "Mature" MMO. Honestly, though, I see our community is just as "Mature" as others...All communities have idiots, WoW, AoC, or RS. I DO remember reading a thing in GameInformer about the "Top Ten Games You've Never Heard Of," and RuneScape was one of them. From memory, they dissed the graphics and community--As a matter of fact, I don't think they said it was a proper MMO because of those reasons, which is [developmentally delayed]ed.

Don't worry, they'll probably put it back. Beta testing always has problems, thats why it's called Beta Testing.

You know, it's called beta for a reason...Hmmm...Ah yes, Beta testing is the process in which a company allows the eager players to test it out and find the problems of the currently released game/game version! Of course it's gonna have bugs. Of course it's gonna lag. Of course there will be problems. I applaud JaGex for releasing beta, that way the respectable players can give the problems to JaGex without complaining, while the brats and ranting idiots can prove they truly are morons or brats. They'll get over it. And if not, they can go play a different game and be shunned there. One less idiot on RuneScape.

Agreed. I could understand complaining if these bugs weren't fixed after a week, but it's only been...What, 9 hours or so? People need to relax and be thankful for what they get. But of course, some of the children are the worst friggin' brats in the world, whilst the grateful others are thankful for what they get...I try to ignore these rioters and ignorant people...However this basically never really works...

Indeed. I guess I'm lucky, my Mac runs those graphics without even really trying to run them. Smooth as butter. Just make sure you have the right RAM/Graphics card, etc. and it should work fine. If that doesn't work, relax and play another game, like Oblivion or a game you like, wait it out until your PC can handle it.
