  1. Contribute enough to the weekly upkeep of the citadel and you'll find you have access to a clan ring, which gives you a temporary 1.5x multiplier in certain skill tasks about RuneScape.

Seems like if the bonus is decent enough it's going to force people to join a clan. :/

Jadinko Lair sounds like it's going to be a promising update though; I should probably get training to take full advantage of it when it's released.

  2. Just an idea but I'd really like it if the promotional items such as the Katana were offered as part of the Loyalty program so that it could become available for all members. Since it seems obvious that Jagex are going to do more promotional items I feel that if they were all offered as loyalty rewards as well there really wouldn't be any need to complain about Jagex only offering exclusives to certain people.

  3. No, tbh I'd prefer Jagex to leave the events for the fansites to plan and instead focus on providing support for these events/other customer support services.

Jagex sponsored events are becoming almost a weekly thing and I just think they're putting too may resources into them where they could be used in other places.

  4. "Please try again later. Thanks for your interest in the Members Loyalty Programme. Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing a high volume of traffic and cannot process your request. We apologise for the inconvenience and are working to fix the issue."

Does anyone know how long the discounted prices are supposed to last? I keep getting the message above and I don't want to miss out on them.

  5. Just wondering is anyone having problems with the email system? I went to register for the Loyalty Program and it asked for my email so I put it in and now it wants me to go through a whole email address change even though the email I gave is already associated with my account. Then I get errors when inputting the code to change my email address to the one that I already have set in the first place.

I honestly don't know why this is so difficult.

I'm having the exact same problem, a lot of people on the RSOF appear to have the same problem too

Glad it's not just me then. :/

Meh I'll just go to bed and hopefully Jagex can have this sorted out by the time I wake up.

  7. I'm in love with the Quick-Fix right now. As long as you're good at dodging bullets while ubering it's insane.

It's also nice being able to heal multiple people quickly rather than just one heavy the entire time.

  8. Oh... hello. I never really saw the point of introduction threads, since no one is really likely to read them, but whatever.

I try to read them when I can! :)

Welcome to Tip.it! While at first you may not post a lot, there's really a lot of great people and content here you can see if you just read and browse the forums.

  9. The point I'm trying to make is that stats don't show everything. I have friends with barely 1500 total who would be of more use in the Help & Advice forum than a friend of mine with 2496, however they would be less likely to be given the position because of prejudices held by those appointing them. Everyone has prejudices, the only way around them is to give as little irrelevant information, or information that could bias their decision unfairly, as possible in an attempt to remove their bias; why do you think examiners aren't told whose paper they are marking? It's the same concept.

Age is a slightly different issue, as you can argue that certain aspects are unsuitable for younger audiences (although, you could equally argue that saying it's unsuitable to expect a ten year old to be reponsible enough to remove pornography is effectively prejudice, as there are almost certainly some ten year olds who would be mature enough to do so), but if someone of a certain age is going to definitely be denied because of their age, then you should at least let them know beforehand. Enabling people to apply, regardless of their age, and then refusing their application based solely on their age is not only a waste of both people's time (which could easily be avoided), it's also rather mean. :P

I think this is one of the reasons why we have the "Tell us a bit about you!" field at the end of the application. I fully agree that just Runescape stats are not enough to judge a person's Runescape knowledge but they can provide something that along with other information can be a good bases to judge on.

A similar thing can be said for age, it's not the end all judgment guideline but rather just something to help us get an idea about the who the person is. If a person had great posts and a detailed application yet was only 12 years old I'm sure most of the people reviewing the application would want to give the person a chance.

  10. Only annoying thing is in British Columbia we are in the midst of having a mail in vote for a referendum deciding whether to keep the Harmonized Sales Tax. The deadline is July 22nd but if the strike were to last a few weeks this could really mess it all up. :/

  11. Win or lose there were a group of people who went downtown looking to cause trouble just for the sake of it. Why else would they bring the stuff to break windows, set cars on fire, etc? Then you have the thousands of other people downtown who instead of leaving, stick around to film everything that's happening which just adds more fuel to the problem. It's really sad when the majority of Canucks fans agree that what happened was disgusting but these few hundred trouble makers created such a bad image for Vancouver. If you want to know what the true fans are like it would be better to search up "Vancouver post riot cleanup".

I just don't like seeing Vancouver get this bad reputation when it is such a beautiful place the rest of the time. :/

  12. Unlike other exp rewarding things you get, these reward books can be banked:

Start saving up for a few years, then have one day of tons of exp?

Edit: Btw, completed all 20 waves, got 55904 exp for a level 84 skill (which leveled me up to 85 (yay agility)).

It won't let you do another wave until you use your reward so no hoarding books in the bank.

Was actually a fun D&D. I didn't know the Poorly Cooked Karambwan Trolls could ruin the supply table so I lost my potion after wave 16. Luckily I had some sharks/full health and stats to hold me to the end.

Got 57,240 runecrafting experience at level 85.

  13. Quick question before I vote, how come there are some entries that violate the 350x150 rule? Are we not allowed to vote for those, or...?

    I just noticed that now.

Would they still be officially entered or?

    1. Your canvas must at least be 300width by 150height (measured in pixels)

So they're all within the entry rules because none of them are smaller than those dimensions.
