  1. Last year it was held on the first weekend of September so it most likely will be around that same time again this year. (Unless Jagex decides not to do a bonus experience weekend which seems unlikely)

If you can't make 2.1M an hour any other way then I'd say go for it. Just make sure you sell before they crash.

And Kimberly has just beaten me to the to the post button. :P

  3. I finally finished A Game of Thrones on Thursday so I'm onto A Clash of Kings. I'm already over 300 pages in so I'm making much better progress XD

I just started reading a Game of Thrones yesterday, wanted to see what all the hype about it was. :P Only a few chapters in and I'm already enjoying it so far.

Also I re-read the Hobbit last week, I forgot how different it is in writing style compared to LOTR.

  4. You'll only need the $100 OEM version if you're building the computer from scratch.

    Basically the differences are:

    OEM ($100)

-Can only install on one computer (License is tied to that computer only)

-If you upgrade a major computer part you need to contact Microsoft I believe to reactivate the OS again (As it will think you've installed it on a new computer. You won't be charged for this.)

    Retail ($200)

-Can move OS to another computer

-You get tech support from Microsoft (Useless in my opinion)

-You get a fancy retail box

I personally have a computer with an OEM version of Windows 7 and it works great for me, not worth paying for the retail version at all.

  5. I didnt get through the whole video, but have they got over that gigantic stepping stone which involves actually animating the damn things yet? Last time they could only make static landscapes.

The video said they're still working on animating but can only get a few models at a time without requiring an absurd amount of processing power.

  6. For once I'm actually very excited for this month, I'm really looking forward to the new quest and the minigame reward updates. Hopefully the reward updates will encourage players to start playing some of the lesser used minigames like Trouble Brewing again.

  7. Ok just to clear up a things, yes I removed some posts, yes it was a fair amount of posts but it's kind of hard not too when you guys quote things a billion times over. I know slight spamming of this thread is ok but sexual images with things such as furries and other related stuff still isn't allowed anywhere on the forums.

So if you guys could tone it down a bit it would be much appreciated.

  8. The new trees really make every area look 10x better than it previously was. I wonder if Jagex are going to a large graphics update releasing the remodelled trees all across Runescape as well as updating a lot of these places. Wasn't bloom effects supposed to be in development by the graphics team as well?

  9. The image is actually within the forum rules. Since your avatar is automatically fit within a 100x100 region under your name you don't have to worry about it be larger than those dimensions. As long as it's under 100kb (which that GIF is) you're fine. :)

  10. I unashamedly sobbed the whole way through The Prince's Tale. I can't even explain how heartbreaking it was. Alan Rickman is a truly incredible actor.

100% agree with you. They really did justice to the Prince's Tale and it was one of my favourite scenes in the movie.

I was also glad to see the "Not my daughter.." line wasn't cut from the movie, although I always imagined it as more of a screaming yell and it was much to short of a scene in the movie. I think they could have easily added a little more length in the movie to give that plus several of the character deaths more justice.

Overall it was an amazing movie anyways and a great way to bring an end to the films!

  11. 9 hours until it starts for me. I've never been to a midnight showing, does anyone have a recommendation for how early you should be in line? I'm thinking of leaving 2 hours beforehand but I'm not sure if that's too late especially since it's the final Harry Potter movie.

  12. K, second viewing I didn't like it as much, was a bit disappointing tbh. I went with a friend who hadn't read the books and she didn't understand bits of it, and I can understand why.

For example, the part where Harry dies, then comes back to life really wasn't explained at all in the movie, and you had to read the books to know what was going on.

Anyway, seeing it again tomorrow, third time lucky?

You get to see it a third time before I get to even see it once. :(

How did you feel about the length of the movie? It's the shortest Harry Potter movie to date so I'm wondering if 2 hours 10min does it justice.
