Holiday items tend to drop a little bit when their respective events are coming up, not really sure why but thats what has happened in the past. I don't think it has to do with supply in demand because I don't see why the demand would decrease when the event is coming up, if anything it should be increasing. Well I wasn't playing RS during last year's holidays but this is how I figure: During the holidays, rare holders think prices will rise based on past events, which is true. Then so many of them try to sell, that they flood the market with those rares, and it becomes a buyers market. Because the rares are already pretty highly priced, the number of sellers keeps decreases when the sellers all try to sell even higher. The increasing amount of sellers is greater than the semi-increasing demand, so the price drops. This seems like an ok explanation but really only would explain small price drops, and I don't know how large they dropped last year. You explained that beutifully. Right on the dot! :

You get most of your free time taken away by work, and then say that again. Until then I'm pretty sure you don't have a right to include that last sentence. Sorry, but going to a high school with about 5-7 hours of homework a night, that post REALLY ticked me off. Lol... you do your homework at home in high school?? The only time I have to take my homework home is when it's a project... And half of the time I'm too bored to do my project at home, so I do that at school too... And yes, I am in high school and taking the best classes I could... On-topic: Well I'd probably try playing RuneScape again if Jagex made it possible for people to find out when a certain account was made, and if they killed the rules banning account trading, real-life item trading, and autoing... (note: misterxman, I'm not encouraging anyone to break the Jagex rules... I really don't understand how saying that I can make autoers was grounds for temp banning me, but oh well...)... Maybe you should take a look at us though and relise how we are playing. We're playing for the love of the game, because after all, it IS a GAME! A couple of days after a new skill is released for members, you get sick of it and decide you want something new? It just doesn't work that way. Look at the updates you jsut got. You have new quests coming and hunter which no one has received 99 in yet. I don't see how you can complain that you want more new stuff when there's newly released things that havent even been completed by one player in the whole ENTIRE GAME. How can you say you can wipe all accounts??? Just because you haven't commited enough time or played as long as someone doesn't mean you should be able to wipe their accounts. I would be absolutely outraged if I had a full phat set and was one of the richest in the game, and I came on the next day to see a level 3 fresh of tutorial island having a higher networth than me. Do you think its fair to wipe Zezima's stats just so you can TRY to beat him? None of it seems fair. Those who have the high spots deserve them. Maybe if you stop complaining, you could be training and working toward one of those top spots. When I played classic on a different account there was no people like you guys. This site was a great site with people who never complained. People overall were nicer, more friendly, and everyone knew eachother. They took the game as a game. Updates were updates, and people were happy with them no matter what. When RS2 was released, people became greedier, and people began to complain. This could have put more pressure on Jagex in a way. Because of all your complaining they could be trying to produce more updates to please you all, without putting enoughquality time into the update. You guys need to sit tight, relax, and enjoy what is a GAME. It's not a job or anything, it's to be played for fun and relaxation. No more complaints about Jagex doing bad. GEEZ!

As I was browsing through the P2P forums I saw a looking good guide. I thought this was very cool, maybe pick up a few tips. Of course, because it was a P2P forum, all the outfits were p2p with the exception of maybe one or two. (sorry for sorta taking the idea lol)Now F2P is a lot more limited than P2P, but lets pull It together guys. Post your favorite outfits. That's true but there are very rich people (merchants) that were widely known before, at least from the among other merchants, like Duke Freedom. But I personally wouldn't want to be widely known... because of the all spam I'd get in public chat and private if I did not leave it off or on friends. It would be fun for the first 10 days i bet thing it would get annoying I agree AND... Best way to level is to powerlevel all this is true that you said but to me it sounds like that just took the fun out of the whole game if you played like that. I want to play this game because its fun. That just sounds boring. It is in fact a game, so I'm not gonna devote my life to this game and do it the boring way. I will play for fun when I have time and do fun things. merchanting is fun but powerlvling is not. Sucks the fun out of the game in my oppion

There's two things I never thought of before which you just pointed out to me. Level 99's are shown through the High-Score table whereas money is not. Plus li ke you stated Zezima is very wildy known, yet no one really knows who the richest in the game is...

Ok guys you can't buy your way through every skill. Firemaking and Cooking is the only ones you can TRULY by yourself to and that Still takes time. Smithing You can buy ores I guess and smelt then sell but that takes a REALLY REALLY long time. Mining is by yourself, All combat money can help but you dont need it to do it. Runecrafting you can buy essence, but you still have to walk back and forth day after day for quite a long time. You really can't buy your way to everything In RuneScape that is a FALSE assumption. P.S. Money can buy your way to SOME skills, but then you wouldnt be the richest anymore if you bought your way through skills. I was askingif you HAD to chose ONE, what would it be? You can't be rich then buy your way to something because you lose the money. Its rare skillers make soo much money as much as a merchanter atleast because with the leftover money you buy your way to 99 cooking and Firemaking. Just take that into consideration!
