Mining guild if you're F2P. I think it's the best place for P2P too, but I'm not sure.

Good article, it was worth the extra wait. :) Most of the points that the Editor makes I agree with, except for commending Jagex on their decision to focus on P2P bots. Even though it wastes the autoers/gold farmers' money, F2P autoers/gold farmers can still pass their ill-gotten goods through to a members main, or simply sell them to members on the forums.

You need to give more info. Are you P2P or F2P? What are your skills and combat level? Do you want to do quests for the reward or for the sake of doing them? Also, a ton of money won't neccesarily help you with hard quests.

Sal's realm (X) has screenies of all the altars. Also, the mind altar has a floor like a giant chessboard, and the body altar is supposed to look like the inside of a heart, veins and all. Personally I think the death altar is cool, it looks like some desolate wwasteland in the depths of the wilderness with the dead and dying everywhere. :P

Don't mean to be off-topic, but I was looking forward to yesterday's times and now it's Saturday and it still hasn't been released yet. I also hope it isn't more about the wildy, it's been for 3 times now. 3 Times, heh, punny. :)

Hmm, I'm kinda stuck here as to the best way to train smithing. I am F2P, level 55 mining and 41 smithing. I've also got access to the crafting guild if that helps. I've tried these methods so far: -Mining iron and coal, then smelting and smithing and selling to general store. -Buying iron and coal, smelting and selling the steel bars. -Mining gold in crafting guild, walking up to Fally, smelting, smithing and selling to general store. Which of these methods is probably best, or is there another method altogether? Any help would be appreciated :) [/hide]

Cabbage :P No, but I'm assuming that there's about 4294967295 different items. Sounds a lot, but if you think about it it seems possible. Also, they would need a normal integer - 16 bits - to record how many you have, but they might also use another long integer to play it safe, or the server might crash when you collect howevermany gold. I can't find a fault in your calculations, though, but only 1 gig for storing the banks of 5 million players seems a bit weird.

Let's assume there are 6mil RS players, and about 5mil of them are F2P. These F2P players have about 60 bank spaces each, or 300mil bank spaces altogether. Now I think Jagex uses long integers to store bank spaces and their contents. Long integers are 32-bit (I think). This means: 9600mil bits used for F2P bank spaces, or: 1200 bytes, or: More than 1 MILLION gigabytes, all on the Jagex servers, storing our worthless pots and cabbage. For Jagex to add 1 F2P bank space would take 20mil bytes, or around 16667 gigabytes. For 1 more cursed bank space. God, most computers have, what? 20 gigs? Imagine how much space every new player from tutorial island is using? Not to mention inventories, stackable items, notes, etc.

Don't you think that if Jagex were really just making RS for the money they would just eliminate F2P altogether? They would get more money from more F2Pers subscribing to members so their accounts wouldn't get deleted, plus they'd save massive server space and most macroing and scamming would be destroyed. I'm F2P and I really don't think we deserve any updates, except for holiday events and skill capes, because somehow it just seems ethically wrong to give a skill cape to some rich guy who bought RS money for RL money to get a skill up and buy a skill cape, but not to an honest F2Per who spent way more time than any member to get their skill up.

Here's one, just happened: I was on my level 3 noob pure (lol) and I went to the Wilderness for some fun. I went up to Varrock Wilderness and up til about level 35 wildy, then I met this level 68 guy with full addy. I asked him to kill me, he told me to follow him to higher wilderness where he could attack me. Then he led me through the place with the level 40 spiders. I was on 1 health when suddenly a 3-team came and owned the guy. (XD) I saw him die, then I finally died from the spiders. Then I added the guy and had a nice little chat: To ****: Haha To ****: U died 2 To ****: Lolz **** has logged out. XD XD XD
