  1. No, it isn't. Firstly, the victims in the 'scamming' case get to choose whether or not they want to buy the hunter bow, or even read the topic, while in the wheelchair example the person is pushed off. Secondly, in the 'scamming' case the dumb idiot is choosing not to read the front page, and choosing not to double-check the name of the bow. In the wheelchair example, the handicapped person's predicament isn't because of his own laziness or bad choices. Therefore, it's more like showing a page reading 'Climb off if you want to' to a person that's in a wheelchair because he fell asleep with a cigarette and it burnt his leg (or something).
  2. It is, you can report it under misuse of customer support.
  3. If you actually said 'reported' then he can legitly report you for misuse of customer support. Anyway, once I got reported for saying that, wait for it, I pwn dwarves :o . And once I got reported for powermining.
  4. Y'know, you really shouldn't say a newspaper sucks before you even read the first article, because if you did, you might actually notice that this is the Onyx Times and the Gielinor Tribune merged.
  5. Nah, it's against the rules even if we wanted to. :P And my first article was left out... EDIT: And Chr!s's articles, and malo's marketplace article, and all Starwildcat's stuff.
  6. Which is why ranging should only be used with monsters. Just like in real life, shooting arrows at other people is less effective that using them for hunting deer, etc. If you wanted to pk, you shouldn't have chosen range.
  7. If people can please themselves by pleasing others, who are you to judge whether they should belong in RS or not? The only reason people might want to please others is because it pleases themself, anyway.
  8. Range is more tactical than melee. Unlike in melee, you can't just put on full dragon, gather some sharks and charge at anything you feel like. Don't be stupid, hunt something that can't attack back with range.
  9. Seriously... why all this bitterness against people who have encountered abusive mods? Have you, as you wallow in your own self-righteousness and hypocrisy, ever stopped to consider that people who have encountered abusive mods are normal players just like everyone else, with *gasp* human emotions and feelings? Have you ever realised that by generalising and insulting every single person who has encountered abusive mods indiscriminately, you yourself are sinking to the level of the behaviour you accuse people who have encountered abusive mods of? Selfish little puffed up popinjay...
  10. Absolutely nothing in RS is unfair. -.- We all started out equal on Tutorial Island (other than rl money and hardware, but that's not in RS). If you chose to train your flatching, it's not Jagex's fault that they haven't made string-x, at least no more than it's a boat builder's fault if you're seasick.
  11. I don't think anybody ever said that all pmods are bad. Nobody's categorising all pmods as bad people, nobody's basing their opinion off of their "friend's friend's friend's 1st cousin's brother", and everybody treats pmods as normal players. If we see a pmod shouting 'selling rune scimmy 25k' in a bank, we don't go 'omg a pmod i h8 u reportad!!!1'. But if we try to buy the scimitar and the pmod swaps the 25000 for 2500, we obviously notice. After all, it isn't just another player scamming us, it's a player hand-picked as a mod by Jagex, so obviously we'd want to post about that or tell people about that.
  12. http://forum.[Please Use QuickFind Code].ws?15,16,298,45182866. Stupid idiots. There's around 5 Jmod posts on there already.
  13. Yay. -.- They removed the cartoons because some idiots were ranting about them in the official forums.
  14. True, but most of the time range has less risk than melee, and I think this outweighs the lesser damage. It was anyway your choice to become a ranger, complaining about that is like buying a packet of peanuts and then complaining that you're allergic to nuts, and demanding that the seller take away your nut allergy. Your problem, not theirs.
  15. IMO it is. Range can hit from a distance, and most of the time take absolutely 0 damage. With melee you have a chance to die and lose your stuff every time. Also, melee has more high-level weapons, such as dragon scimitars, etc, while range's dragon bolts and bow is still going to come out.
  16. *cough* *coughcough* *coughcoughcoughcoughcough* XD
  17. Umm...150k FTW?
  18. Agreed. Don't get me wrong, some mods deserve their title, but 60% of them are random noobs that go around saying 'Trad me ur addy pl8 or i mut u', and those are the ones you notice.
  19. Yes, but like I said, everybody is also affected by bronze daggers, or imps, or the 28-size inventory. Does that mean they are the most important aspects of the game? And, like somebody else said, we should just agree to disagree and not waste our time arguing/debating/discussing the opening sentence of a brilliant article. :)
  20. I thought your article said that the economy is the most important part of runescape, but whatever. Also, you don't have to quote my post if yours is completely unrelated.
  21. One of the newspaper staff must have posted that, because only the staff can see the cbox. :-k I'm sorry you got a message like that. For the record I think the tribune is a very nice paper. I know, we don't think it's you, we think it might be another guy that got deleted. The Gielinor Gazette doesn't seem bad either, I like the 'Jagex are cats' article XD
  22. malo2 wrote: we all know you can do that, but, name me one person who has never made a single trade before. That's like saying that because everybody's equipped something at least once, the whole of RuneScape is about equipping things, or because everybody in RuneScape is either male or female the purpose of playing RS is being male/female. Oh yeah, and I don't think giving out addresses for rwt websites is a good idea.
  23. A few hours ago we got this message in our chat box: One of the newspaper staff must have posted that, because only the staff can see the cbox. :-k
  24. Nope, jst rechecked it now, no limit for reporting macroers. They didn't announce it anywhere, though.
  25. What's different to achievements in real life and achievements in RuneSccape? In the end, both are worthless, it's just that RuneScape is more fun for some people than real life, and they should be allowed to spend their whole life playing RS if they want to. If you're in life for work only and not for fun, you might as well commit suicide. No offence, I'm just expressing my philosophical standpoint.
