If you wish to stop this happening, simply turn your accept-aid to off, if it is off, they will be unable to heal you, and you can fight back/teleport/die without losing your items as easily.

Non-corrupt Player vs Player armour/weapons lasts for 1 hour of use(being in your invo during combat counts as use), corrupt versions last for 15 minutes of use, and I believe the timer for corrupt armour works the same as non-corrupt, no defense/offense stat changes, the corrupt weapons simply don't have a special attack.
