The reason for this thread: My real life friend JustBlazz, my RS friend F0ur Q, and I are all going to race to the skill total of 1500!.....One small thing though.. we're racing to 1500, without the usage of hunter, construction, or farming! That means an average of 75 average of all the other 20 skills! We joked about how long it would take, assuming anywhere from 3-8 months with each one of our playtimes varying. This is going to be a way for us to keep track of our progression over the probable months... and also get a little cheering on by anyone feeling nice enough to do so. I think all three of us do have different goals in mind, how to get money during this race, what to spend it on, what will keep us sidetracked, and other variables... but basically, the race is ON! Read the next half of this post and the next 2 posts for info on the three of us! Thanks! I'm Alpha Koldes. Just started runescape about 1 month ago or so. JustBlazz is a friend of mine from real life, we have about 6 years of mmorpg experience together. Met f0ur Q about 3 weeks ago from posting on these very forums, and started up talking pretty much every day. We then realized our skill levels were about the same and wanted to challenge eachother. Okay, so here are my current skills: December 3rd goals: 60/61/60 attack - completed! 60/60/60 strength - completed! 52/60/60 defense - completed! 56/60/60 ranging - completed! December 5th goals: 60/70/70 attack - completed! None/Iron/Rune Defender December 7th Goals: 0/250/250 Dragon Bones Ecto'd - completed! December 8th Goals: 1/25/25 Fletching - completed! 35/40/40 Crafting - completed! Fremneck Trials/Archer/Serker Helm - completed! Fishing till 76? So I reached my goals of 60 in attack, strength, defense, and ranging. I got my red d'hide armor. And now it's time to get attack to 70. Doing this is going to do two things for me! It's going to allow me to weild (i'll be buying soon) a whip! And also, it's going to allow me into the warriors guild. 70 Attack + 60 Strength = 130 Total :) I will stay in there until I get a rune defender! Currently: Fishing lobsters at the fishing guild. Skills gained/Mini Journal: December 3rd 57 Ranging 48 Slayer 58 Ranging 61 Attack (Oops, meant to put attack on defense after relog) 49 Slayer Level 2 Clue Scroll Break! (Addy long, nature/fire runes :() not worth the time... 54 Defense 62 Hit Points! Level 2 Clue Scroll Break! (Addy platebody, pickaxe, longsword and some air runes... again, not worth it 55 Defense 56 Defense 50 Slayer - Whooo! 35 Prayer 57 Defense December 4th 51 Slayer 58 Defense 11 Herblore (made a couple attack potions) Level 1 Clue Scroll Break! Not worth mentioning 71 Cooking (needed some lobsters!) 63 Hit Points 60 Defense! FINALLY! 59 Ranging! (one to go!) 60 Ranging, wohooo! December 5th 62 Attack Level 3 Clue Scroll Break (my first one.. trying to finish!) 64 Hit Points 63 Attack 64 Attack 65 Attack 66 Attack December 6th 72 Cooking (more lobsters for training!) 67 Attack 65 Hit Points 68 Attack December 7th 69 Attack 37 Prayer 70 Attack - I did it! 66 Hit Points 61 Defense 61 Strength 38 Prayer 39 Prayer December 8th 40-49 Prayer 2-25 Fletching 53 Woodcutting 35-40 Crafting 57 Magic 25 Fletching 27 Fletching 36 Agility 32 Thieving December 9th Herblore (Genie!) Mentionable Drops/Clue Scroll Loots None yet! This is my section for everything that I've learned along the way that's substantial. Also a little section for dissapointments/suprises. Pretty much the misc sections -Basilisks are amazing to train on! 75 HP per, which translates to 75 Slayer XP, and 300 combat XP per... Drop 75 water runes, 15 nature runes, tons of herbs, and possibly mystic hats, decent achable items, along with the other rares, half shield, dragon spear, etc I enjoyed killing every single one. Random Pictures: - My most damage ever in "one hit" ! (that I have a s/s of) :) :) This counts... right? :roll: - Updated December 9th Official Support List (people who've said gl within this thread..) haha thanks, I like me fishin' ! And slayer, yeah.. it seems really promising.. But just to know, what is there specifically? Other than whips? Anything worthwhile before then?

Update! Working on slayer for a while... just hit level 31! Got a cockatrice assignment, so I started working on it a few minutes ago... I told asylum, as you can see in the pic, that I'd get a pair of mystic boots.. (checked out the beastiary, found they drop them.) He just smiled, and we know what that means! As you can see, we had that little bit of conversation about not too long before they dropped... Maybe 15 mins! well.. I know I should have taken the picture while they were on the ground.. but i am proud to present my first good drop.. I know it's not a million dollar item.. but I'm proud! 50k for that ring of wealth paid off!

Hmm sounds doable.. but if I keep my entire blog to one post, how does it get bumped? Do posts get bumped when edited?

I don't know cause I've only been playing a coupel weeks, but i'm pretty sure your defense would raise...

Update: Think I'm gonna change it to just 62 fishing.. definatly need a break from this, and do something different.. Haven't tried out slayer, gonna head up to B-town and get it started...

Thanks. And yeah, If you look in the "rate it" forum, I have a thread in there, a lot of people have been nice enough to give me some tips and advice... which has really been helping out. Thanks again, 65 fishing might be hard tonight.

What do you mean yeah right? I just started playing about .. hmm, 17-18 days ago. I had 6 years of prior mmorpg playing UO, which is helping me dirastically. Also been talking to a lot of people on the forums, I read quest guides, combat guides, and a lot of reading on RS websites in general, mostly tip it though. Anyway... update for me, wohoo.. Working on 62 - only 30,000 XP to go :)

Well I finally finished the Shilo quest.. took a while, even had 16 sharks on me.. given by my friend Ashoke. Only ended up using TWO, but oh well :) mission accomplished Now, getting 65 fishing before the nights end. Ugh, gotta buckle up. Have about 12,000 feathers, and am doing trout/salmon at shilo villiage, on world 89 if you want to stop by :)

Hey what's up guys, pretty new to the game, just started a couple weeks ago. Starting up this blog basically as a way to track my progress, and kind of hold myself to my goals, and also a way to possibly get some feedback, advice, etc. So two goals for today. -Start and complete the Shilo villiage quest -Get fishing from 60 to 65 -Start Slayer! At 1 Currently Good luck to me :)

You have to find one of the NPCs around the ships and pay them. Usually just right click on em and you'll see the option.
