Well, you need 192 levels. First things first, if you can do prayer, I highly recommend doing so. You can get 80 prayer in a couple hours. It's a little outside of your budget, but definitely something to keep in mind if you run up to a deadline. So here's the plan: 65 fletching - 40 levels 65 firemaking - 35 levels 65 thieving - 32 levels 70 cooking - 31 levels From there you have 54 levels left to get. If you farm your best trees and do warbands, you can trim that down quite a bit. Crafting is dirt cheap until 55 (tiaras), smithing is reasonable, and herblore is fast but a little expensive. You can always leech dungeoneering for a few levels, but it slows down pretty quickly. So you're going to need more than 1m to get 1k total within a reasonable timeframe without training combat skills. 10m should be more than enough and that's like 2 hours of moneymaking on Mck.

Right now, the price of rune essence is only a little lower than what it was a little before the bot nuke (October, 2011). The first decrease in price happened in early May 2012, which corresponds almost exactly to the release of runespan. On November 19th, 2012, the price skyrocketed again. The Evolution of Combat was released on the 20th. Prices fell back down again on January 7th, which corresponds to an EoC dev blog, which announced the upcoming release of the Kalphite King and the Ascension dungeon, which would make magic less useful. The next price increase came on March 4th, which was the same day that another EoC update was released. This update made dual-wielding with magic OP, which explains the price increase. On August 29th, the price increase for about a week because of an update to magic damage. An unexplained crash happened afterwards, but the price recovered a little before September 25th, when bonds were released. The price has remained low since then. I think the conclusion to draw is that bonds are keeping the price of rune essence down, presumably because RWTers often made runes for money. Pure essence showed a similar trend, but it's a lot less telling because it isn't used nearly as much, especially after EoC.

Oh yeah, urns. 42k xp/hour is 1k ores per hour, which means you're spending 6 ticks on each ore. You're losing 2 ticks every time you mine an ore. Most likely you're dropping ores when you could be mining. You also need to remember that the average human reaction time is 200-300ms, so if you're waiting to see the iron ore land in your inventory, you've already lost a full tick.

That's interesting because it takes exactly 3 ticks to mine an ore and 1 tick to turn to the next ore and 55k xp/hour is 1572 ores/hour Urns.

Mine iron and drop it. I think the best spot is in the all kharid mine, where you can mine 3 rocks without moving. You can mine a little under 1500 ores per hour.
