Hey Tip.it, winter's coming, and along with it is Christmas. Im looking for a new computer.. but i don't really know where to start.. Im looking for a computer with... -Min 250gb hard drive, 500g would be nice. -Nvida 9300 .. something series video card. -A fast Processing speed. -2-3gb of RAM -It should look cool. -A monitor is not needed. -I would prefer XP but Vista is ok... Some people told me to add this stuff in: -Its for Gaming/surfing -700-900$ budget (hope this is reasonable for what i want) -I'm in Ontario -Ready-made -I want it to be able to burn DVD's, so i can make movies. If anyone could post link, or picture or stuff for computer's like these, i would really appreciate it. I'm also trying to find them myself on some computer sites. Thanks ~Quinton595

Oh [Potatoes].. Its been two [Obama] years since I've tried getting the [Cabbage] DVD to work..[ :lol: ] The problem is, none, of the 32 comps in my school have DVD burners... My dads friend, who's in the IT business, doesn't even have one... I guess I'll just have to present it with the projector... Thanks anyways. ~Quinton595

Hey tip.it.. Long story short, I have a video. A Windows Movie Maker Video. I want to put it on a DVD, not a CD. I need it to be able to play on a Television DVD player. Could someone, PLEASE tell me what I need to do... do I need a special burner? Do I need to change the file format? Anything... Please tell me all the steps required.. because the is the second time, for a school project, i havent gotten it to work on a tv... Please...

Hey Tip.it, Just wanted to let everyone know that there's a new virus on Email, from a place claiming to be Hallmark. If you get an Email from Hallmark, Do NOT open it. It's the single worst Microsoft virus of it's kind, and the only way to remove it, is to re-install your operating system.

Hey Tip.it peoples, Quick question here... I'm making a video for a project in my English class, and I downloaded videos off of youtube using Zamzar (anyone ever heard of that?) I converted the youtube videos to WMV files, before downloading them, but now, when i try putting all the videos i downloaded together on WMM, they wont import. I click import > Desktop > *The Video* and it gets to about 1% and it stops. I need this video by tomorrow, so any help would be appreciated. PS. I'm able to convert the videos into any video format BTW, in case i got the wrong one. Thanks~ Quinton595 :)

Well thanks for the reply's people.. there was no DirectX on the Cd, so i managed to grab one off another site, its working well now.. but one more thing.. If there's anyone else here who play's Spore, I found that in creature stage, the other creatures around the world were appearing untextured. No skin. just one solid colors... now i know my graphics on my computer are just able to handle the game, but would getting better drivers help?

Ugh, thanks for trying, but i need that dumb validation thing.. which i dont have, because i needed to change the way my Windows XP worked, I got windows XP pro, when it think that it only has Windows XP home.. any other places where i could get directX 9 ?

Hey guys.. haven't been to tip it in a while.. but it's always the first place i go to when i need help with something :D . I was just downloading the Spore Creature Creator Free trial, For Windows XP.... And when i installed it it said that i was missing Direct X 9. When i try to start the game, it said: "this application has failed to start because d3dx9_27.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." I tried re-installing it.. nothing... And i tried Google-ing DirectX 9, but there were Sooo many choices.. i didn't know which to get.. Any ideas about how to make it work? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ~Quinton595

When the lizards came out in the game, a few of them had those things on their necks.. from that angle in the picture u see, they look weird, but they're really just a big patch of skin that can lift of the lizard to either heat it up by grabbing the suns rays, or colling it down. PS. They exist in real life too. So, that picture was there since before 2004, when Jagex said Summoning was coming in the near future, though they never got around to it. Before Slayer was released. Before the German KB even existed. That's some really strong hinting. He said Months not years... Slayer is over 3 years old, and that monster didn't exist until after slayer was released I'm sure. It's called sarcasm, mate. And "months before Summoning was even heard of" was in 2004, possibly 2003. Summoning was mentioned in a 2004 BTS article. LOL.. truth is.. i just said months, cause i don;t even know when slayer came out. :anxious: :roll:

They will do 100% there best to help you and you can ask anything to them. Ask advice about antivirus programs etc. I hope they can help you! Thanks for the effort. Ok. Im sorry if this sounds rude, but im starting to lose my patience, because my parents, nor my friends will help me. First off, i know that, thats exactly why i want to do it.. and, this is whats wrong. -I lost 62GB!! of space in 1 1/2 weeks, without downloading, or installing anything. -Programs wont open -since programs wont open, i CAN NOT RUN ANTIVIRUS SCANS -With each day, i lose more GB, and my computer deteriorates. -Programs randomly freeze -Takes up to twenty clicks just to open 1 Mozilla Firefox browser -Ive checked it all, and its not a hardware problem *such as the fan not working* but more of a virus. Now please. Could someone tell me how to re-format my hard drive?
