well f me does anyone know if it is better gp/xp to make overloads into supreme overloads than to make overloads from scratch? Because if so that would still be a reason to make them.

In some edge cases even though the potions are more expensive you need to use fewer doses which saves you money, because the supreme overloads have a 6 minute timer. The main example which comes to mind is mage araxxor path 1. For those that don't know, the mage spider applies a debuff which drains overloads more quickly. What this means is that even though my kills on path 1 are typically around 8:30, I usually have to take a third sip of overload. Then, the rest of that potion is wasted while banking. With the supreme pots it's doable to do a kill, even with poor RNG, in 2 doses of supreme ovl. Another good example is nex duos. I haven't duoed nex in a long time, but the last time I did, my kills usually were just a bit over 1 overload dose long.

did a test run to 250 last cycle. considering going for gold but I might rather do scourge as well
