Do you mean tabs as in.. Firefox tabs? Or are you talking about the Task Pane, as that opens with word by default on 2003

There's nothing that defraging would do to help out in this particular situation Wyrm, have you tryed googling it or contacting MS themselves? After some extreme cases of not defragging (for a year, quite stupid on my part) I have had to wait up to 30 minutes for "preferences" to load but, then again, that was a fairly extreme case

Have you defragged lately? :) goto Run and type in dfrg.msc if you can't find the shortcut to defrag utility

If you use the firefox bookmarks tab to store it.. You click on the bookmark and a drop down list appears, ideally with 10 or so items. You can then choose one of those links in the dropdown and goto that page. It requires little to no updating on your end, so you can check a feed in teh morning and get different content than in the afternoon. Pretty spiffy.

Have you run something akin to Motherboard Monitor or something else that keeps track of heat? Doesn't matter, it wouldn't be over heating with the case off and a fan blowing on it. First of all, fans don't cool stuff down. They evaporate sweat which makes us feel cold ;) AFAIK fans in cases are used to keep dust from settling
