You mean like running a program off a flash card / drive, right? It usually depends on the program. If it needs some configuration files or registry keys, then it probably will not. Firefox, for example, would (it saves your profile on the hard disk though... there is a version that will save it on the card though.... I think it's called peer to peer networking... don't trust me on this though. It's happened to me in the RS client too sorta Everyonce in a while the volume will just cut out Most likely either your speakers, wireing, or sound card. If not any of those, maybe java? Might be the soundcard, because I tried with just plugging headphones into the computer and it was still off =\
