You are suggesting nothing would happen for runecrafting to be removed and I am disagreeing. Some days up to 60-70 Billion yes do get saved every day by not having to buy runes from the shops. All runes traded on the GE that day weren't made that day....people buy more runes than they can use, or accumulate them over time - then sell them. Yes most runes are made, but not each and every day. Hell, pretend on day 1 we as a community make 100 million runes, then for the other 29 days we just trade them back and forth to each other...that's not 3 billion runes being made by runecrafting every day. Also, I said your math skills are lacking (I see you're still using that 60-70 billion per day figure) because you obviously miscalculated that, and if you don't think you did..show you're work here. Lastly, yes the game would be affected in terms of the economy...gameplay itself as in what you can do in the entire game would not be affected in the least tho, whereas any other skill being taken out would change the gameplay greatly as well as the economy. On your first post you say nothing would be affected. I argued. My point wasnt that it will cause a 60 Billion economic crash, just that it would affect gameplay. As the economy does affect gameplay. If you view the most traded section and go to 30 days and divide the number of runes by 30 and multiply them by the shop price results in a massive amount of money. Lets just end this debate and say runecrafting would affect the economy and gameplay while not crashing it to death as im sure we would find another way or something like using tokull in the tzharr shop.

As a response to this and the previous post, I will mention again - I have seen NO response to my magic tactics. Currently, I use magic to cripple the meleer and easily kill him if he's wearing metal armor; should he be foolish enough to switch to range, I can easily whip him to death with a 3 to 1 hit advantage + higher defence. I have yet to see your response to this. Once you type one, the debate can continue. Until then, don't bother posting about how you don't want to debate and 'feel' I'm wrong with no actual facts to back up your statements. EDIT: I did. Its funny how the inexperienced person with the grand exchange thinks that he is the only one wanting an AGS for min price and that with the GE if you put an offer for min and someone has a higher offer (say medium) your sword will go to the person with the offer in medium... :thumbsup:

That's beyond the point though. Not everyone can make 8M in the time it takes to get a torso. Honestly, I strongly advise getting a torso, that Strenght bonus always helps in a tight situation during slayer. The defense bonuses would help more...

a hilt brings 65million value into the economy, not 65mil gp. Nats lead to alches which lead to coins being brought into the game. Similair to chins, you catch them and sell for say 1mil. That one mill came from another player and he will use them to range taking their value out of the economy; hence, all that happened was his 1mil coins moving to you Yeah, I know that...but none of that means runecrafting isn't the most useless skill. The skill provides us with items that we already have access to without using the skill, the same can't really be said for any other skill. But it saves the economy 70-80 billion every day. WE are not only doing natures but all the runes. As you can see the elemental runes + mind are alone 20 billion into the economy. Natures, chaos, and body, are another 20 Billion. If we take death runes; 4 billion, Law runes; 2.5 billion, Blood runes, another 2.5 billion that is somewhere between 50 Billion total. Now add cosmics, astrials, combination runes, and the fact that silver ore would drop alot and you can get between 60-70 Billion every say and 80 Billion on peak days.

We will use the OP as an example. His melee stats are averaging 78. Soul wars at minimum guarantees one point every 23 minutes. So that is three points every 66 minutes. Or 2.727~ points an hour. At points going for 81 times the melee stat it is (81*78*2.72727272~) xp/h. This is, 17,231 xp/h. Win all games and its 51.6k xp/h or about 55k if you include damage done. For Pest Control You get (78*78/600 = X(rounded down) and * 35 = xp Which is equal to 354 xp per point. Lets say you do 400 damage and get 3 points a game (that boat is good with a 90+ clan) you will get 354 * 3 + 800. Totally you can make 35k xp/h with the points and up to 30k xp/h with the normal combat if you take two minutes a game. At three minutes a game its 43k xp/h. If you average them out it is about a 62-62k xp/h from pest control. I credit soulegleon for the pest control formula.

Nuff' said. :-w Because the barrows plate surpasses it in any area that requires defence, and proslyte top surpasses it in any place that requires offense (+10% prayer). Even at the best training spot, Armored Zombies, proslyte is actually better due to the less frequent prayer charging required. Even hypothetically assuming that we ignore the defence and prayer bonus shortcomings, torso provides roughly (120/4)*2)/100 = .6% faster XP. Assuming it takes 8 hours to learn BH, find a team, and actually get the torso (conservative; I've found that it usually takes over 10 in total time), your spending 8 hours to get .6% faster XP. Therefore, the 99.4% of full XP you would normally get from training for those 8 hours is the equivalent of 7.95 hours of training with a torso; because torso boosts XP by .6%, we can divide 7.95 by .006 for 1325 hours, the amount of training required to make torso worth getting over adamant chainbody (most monsters, including armored zombies, use a crush attack where chainbody is superior). 1325 hours = 132,500,000 XP training at Armored Zombies, along with 251,750,000 GP of profit. So, if you plan on camping for more then 132.5 million XP, torso is worth getting over adamant chainbody. Of course, proslyte plate would blow it right out of the water, and to a lesser extent, bandos - the +1 prayer would by far make up for the cost over the millions of XP, and it can be resold, unlike the figher torso. The torso is entirely unsuitable for PVP, or indeed, any activity besides training, so those need not be considered. Bottom line: Adamant Chainbody is superior to Fighter Torso unless you intend to train for over 132,500,000 XP (132.5 million) XP; if you include rune\bandos\proslyte in that order, they will all by FAR trump the torso.

If you do 144 and you are losing some, step out of the boat for 30 seconds and hop in. This is a tip to all.
