This also leads to something that you may have never thought about. It's more believeable that someone has a 98 or 97 stat than a 99. I don't know if that flys for everyone, but it's something I do. If someone says they have 97 fishing, I'm more inclined to believe that than if he says he has 99 fishing.

I'm thinking of organizing a get together of Runescape Go-ers for any college students at the University of Idaho and Washington State University (since they're 7 miles apart). I'm an upcoming Freshman at UI and I think it would be cool to meet up with some people. Lemme know!

I voted for the bank update. Jagex kept on giving more and more bank space for the masses of new items that were introduced to the game, and it just made the bank that much more unorganized. Granted, you were able to organize it a lot with the arrival of the insert and swap gadgets, but hopefully, they adopt a new organizational tool to help seperate and segregate items to make it easier to control and find.

On second thoughts, it kinda should be optional. A lot of seasoned RS players are making 2nd characters and the island is pointless the second time around especially if you've been playing for a while. But you have to realize there are some not-so-bright people out there who would try out RS for the first time, skip the island, and then complain they have no idea what they're doing... But then Jagex would put their famous warning screen asking them if they're sure they want to.... It a viable option that the island could be optional.

You have to realize there are other big name MMO's like DotA and Fury out there also.

I'm F2P for the current while, but I don't think that a member-only skill should be opened to F2P. If a member-only skill was introduced to F2P, Jagex would have to open almost the entire map to F2P because the P2P skills are based everywhere but in the F2P area. Instead, expand F2P skills - more fishing areas, more things to fish for F2P, that kind of thing.

Mmk Hitler. Your case is, I won't say rare, but more or less uncommon. You have to take into consideration to number of cases Jagex has to deal with each day, and that they try to make the process as fast as they can, thus they make mistakes. In lamest terms, get over the fact that this world is far from perfect.

When I started out, there was a screen to decide how your character looked, you decided if you wanted to be a ranger, mage, warrior or monk, and then you pressed a red button, and you spawned next to a signpost in Lumbridge - no tutorial island, no tutors, nothing. You had it good. They didn't think of it then. Sorry people's minds aren't as adequite as you'd like them to be.

Think of it this way: The chest before the "downdate" was the same chest used in places such as palaces and castles.... look at the surroundings. It's a basement. They put the shabby-looking chest in there to make it blend in more properly with its surroundings. I win.

I don't see why not. It's called an "achievement cape" but members are the only one's who get them? F2P players "achieve" the same the members do, so why not give it to them? For those of you saying "just get members", think of the people who can't afford the membership. Membership isn't a bragging right, and I believe F2P should at the minimum get skill capes seeing is how Jagex doesn't update F2P nearly as much as they should.

I'm coming back to RS next month when I get my new laptop + members and my biggest aim will be getting the combat stats up, primarily strength. Before I quit, I lagged and died and lost most of my combat related gear, so with all this and since I'm again clueless about the new items in RS, could you re-create a combat outfit for my character: Those are the items. Men can wear plate-skirts, and the price is different because of the looks. They knocked down the price of the skirt because back in the day, there was Horvick. Horvick was one of the most visited NPC's in RS because he was the man that was able to switch platelegs to skirts and vice versa at no cost. Now he was abducted and there was a price change. :wall:

If Jagex didn't care about the game they created, don't you think they would stop updating it?

People don't by 26 inch rims for their brand new Escalade for the extra gas mileage it gives the truck. Just sayin. Ask yourself this - would you go around looking like a slob in town today? You wear what looks nice and gives comfort at the same time. Granted we can't really tell if something is comfy in RS or not, but we wear what goes together on the color wheel and looks unique. Thats my input. :D

The island was put into place knowing people would want to skip it. Why make it optional now over the same debate?

I'm talking about people who rant to Jagex.. I'm all for the update. I think it's about time they actually did something about it... How can I possibly be a hypocrite about this...?
