No, he doesn't. His commentary can be fun to watch, but if you're expecting to learn for it, you're barking up the wrong tree. He makes plenty of mistakes during his casts when talking about the strengths/weaknesses of various plays, and also makes some rather poor recommendations. Also, it doesn't take much to be a high rank Diamond player. I made it to top 10 Diamond during the beta with little to no trouble. I placed into Platinum since release and could easily move up if I wanted to, but haven't really played much. Despite the rank, I'm a pretty crappy player. Diamond doesn't mean you're a good player, it means you can hold off cheese builds and common timed push/rush builds, and you can maintain high production and a strong economy. There are enough players that can't do the above that anyone who can is basically automatically pushed to Diamond. Even in Diamond, a lot of players pave their way with 7 Roach Rushes or 4 Gate / 3 Rax builds. Simply being able to hold these off is usually enough for you to advance. Husky isn't a bad player, but he's not notably better than typical high diamonds. Even his casting partner back in the beta, HDStarcraft (I heard they had a falling out recently?), played significantly better, although Husky was certainly more interesting to watch. I actually agree, even though I like Husky a lot. After watching Day9, Psystarcraft and Tasteless+Artosis on GOMtv (I got a season ticket there for GSL2 and GSL3 :)!), Husky is very inferior in general game knowledge and being able to cast professionally. But Husky is still very fun to watch because he's funny (in a different way from Day9).

Beating Metroid Prime 2: Echoes on hard in just under 6 hours (not single-segmented though). Was intense and quite fun, wanted to try out speed running (without glitching so hard).

If you don't want quickscopers on your team, just go to hupitgaming and play with a full party or something. Because I assure you, even though quickscoping is nerfed, there will still be XXquickscopezzXX kids running around trying to do 360 noscopes anyways.

A lot of people would do the switch, yes. But I know I wouldn't, I don't care at all about the cost, I just don't find WoW fun.

The enemy team were basically feeding kills, I mean, the leading enemy player went 4 kills and 30 deaths in the first 4 minutes... Looks set up to me or else that team really was that bad... Edit: Oh and also, from what I heard, that chopper is apparently really easy to shoot down with one of the rocket launchers or whatever.

out of interest, what league are you in? Only gold. Playing knowing 1.5k people are watching it live turns out isn't the best situation to be in, nerves really got to me and that's probably the worst I've ever played. I somehow had 200 minerals somewhere so I just threw down the 2nd gateway lol. Don't worry, even SlayerS_BoxeR gets the shakes during his tournaments :razz:

Randy? :/ I don't really see the skill in aiming in the general direction of a guy and having auto aim do the rest but than again I'm not a console fps player so whatever. Anyways from what it looks like its still possible to do it, it just won't give you the auto aim assist in doing so. (which is totally fair, you shouldn't get auto aim assist on something like a sniper rifle). That's not what auto aim does, auto aim doesn't aim for you, it does so that when your crosshair crosses over the other person, the aim "sticks" onto him a little bit. It does not do the actual aiming for you, it simply just helps keep the aim stuck on the other person for a moment. So no, aiming in the general direction of the guy won't help.

This video sums up my thoughts on quickscoping. People who say quickscoping is cheap etc... I don't understand them. In a face to face battle, a fully automatic assault rifle will kill the quickscoper easily unless they got the motor skills of a 5 year old. And for people saying quickscoping isn't realistic... It's a game, with perks that do incredible things etc., need I say more? I'm not a big quickscoper myself, I'm more into the submachine guns/assault rifles in COD4 and MW2. But seriously, I've never had problems with quickscopers unless they're on my team and being obnoxious doing 360's and dying all over the place (in which case it's a problem with their personality, not the fact that they're quickscoping).

Love watching Donnie Darko, can watch that many times over and it'll still be interesting and entertaining to me :) Your list is good, a lot of the movies that popped up in my mind when seeing the thread title are in it.

Apparently FruitDealer had to quit pro starcraft brood war back in the day so he could sell fruit and support his family. Then, when he heard SC2 came out he entered the GSL and only told his parents about it once he got to the semi-finals. Now he just won 87,000 USD ... what a baller (and a half). Truly inspiring :) What do people here (if there are any left) think of the latest patch? I don't play Terran, but I think the supply depot before barracks thing is pretty weird. And I think the building HP buffs for Zerg were great and needed, but I don't know about the roach range buff. Roaches are going to be even more effective on ramps than they already were, and they pretty much counter reapers even harder, so the reaper nerf wasn't really needed because of this IMO.

They're just being naïve. At least 75% of my friends list is now 18+ and I got several friends who are 30+ and even a friend who is turning 71 soon. I don't really make friends so well with people younger than say.. 16 or so nowadays. There are quite a few cases though of course.

Yes I agree, those were the days. IMO they should make the wilderness larger now and make all the landmarks more "spread out". And remove the volcano haha. Oh and I don't see a reason to why clan wars takes such large space, the majority of the clan wars arenas take place off the face of the main world anyways. They should simply just have the starting area and put the lava arena in whatever place all the other arenas are in. Kind of lazy by Jagex I think :razz:

Tried the beta yesterday for 2 hours or so, never going to touch it again. Just not my thing, I'll stick to COD4 until Black Ops comes out.

Watched the FruitDealer vs. intotheRainbow games, FruitDealer plays like a true Zerg! :thumbsup: Even Julyzerg was in the audience watching, they showed him for a few secs haha.

Got Minecraft a few days ago and I'm loving it! I started my first world and I got a world with huge mountains going up into the clouds and lava flowing out of one of the mountains into a lake, I might post a screenie a little later.

D looks the most like the old one to me (before it was updated) so I voted for that.
