Our new Cross Country coach told us in a meeting before the season that we have to do one competition outside of school during the summer (Like a 5k 10k etc...) and have a party with team members (which needs pictures)... Oh how much fun I'm going to have doing this...

I'm probably going to come back to get that attack cape I always wanted. Just looking at some of the 99's made me want to get my attack cape now...Look out world. I might come back burning/killing things.

50:09 for that 10k...I'll be the first to say...THAT WAS FREAKING BRUTAL! Only 3 or 4 stops fopr water on the entire run...and it was freaking 85 to 90 degrees today...glad its over... Going to try for 45 minutes next year.

Have fun. Ran my 800m in sectionals today. I followed my plan and tried to stay up with the leaders, I ended up staying with the first 3 runners till the start of the 2nd lap where I just died out... I then got beat by two other guys in the last 100m so I ended up 6th with a PR of 2:30.9, up two seconds from my previous one ( 2:33). Hey, at least I tried my best and I now know that there is no way I could have gotten in the top two and qualified for state. That's what I did in the last 2 regular season meets for my 2 mile...Got first each time with huge PR's. I dropped my time like 20 seconds that way. 10k today...I'm post the results if I can :P.

I'm running a 10k tomorrow...Oh how fun will those 6 miles be...Going to try and get 40 minutes on it...I know I can do 8 miles in 1 hour... Best mile time for me is 5:13, best 2 mile is 11:25...My cross country coach says my mile for junior year is going to be 4:40 :thumbup:

Agreed, The media made it seem like it was the next Spanish Flu. (For those who don't know what the Spanish Flu was, it was a influenza after WW1 that killed 40-60 million people globally.) Unless they explicitly stated that "this is going to be the next Spanish flu", then no, I disagree. It seems people can't judge uncertainty and speculation in the media properly. Scientists are uncertain about how bad it will be so there is some speculation. Actually I watched the news one day and they did say that... And because the Media is just a bunch Of Fear mongers, and the Swine flu has the same scientific naming for the Spanish flu... Spanish flu was H1N1 and this one is is also H1N1...
