  1. Sounds like you might belong in the Agnostic Department, along with myself :) Agnosticism
  2. Actually if you want to get technical about the "historicity" of the Bible, then I'll tell you this: IF and only IF we had all the books written to be in the Bible, there would be a whole different story to Christianity. Many of the books, like the gospel of Mary Magdelan (please excuse spelling), were excluded by the ROMANS (pagan worshippers) and deemed as heretical. Soley because they challenged the authority of the Roman Catholic Church. Organized religion was a tool used to control nomadic people and since the ideas and beliefs of modern day people have evolved and we think for ourselves, I think that the whole system needs a revamp. And not only to point out that the English translation far misses some of the key ideas due to the fact that it cannot be translated DIRECTLY from Hebrew to English.
  3. I find it very funny when everything else is proven obsolete about Christianity, that most Christians will say "But that's just faith". I don't understand the logic there. You will believe a story that started as oral tradition, and has no supporting evidence whatsoever besides a few remote case of people experiencing God on top of a hill, alone, with NO ONE AROUND. There is no proof that God exists, at all. You will believe a theory about something as big as the creation of the world and everything that walks on it with no physical proof, but do not have enough faith to buy something off the TV because you're afraid it might not work right. Something in the logic is messed up...
  4. Because I'm 18 now, and I was a Christian for about 15 years. So I've been a non-believer for about 3 years now.
  5. If you want her to melt in your hand, sing her this one. Bet you've never heard it before. Song for the Road
  6. The whole free-will thing is a load of crap. I have been a Christian for about 16 years and have recently realized how stupid organzied religion really is. I have read The Bible at least twice through. If God, according to scripture, has a divine plan, knows every move we make, every hair on our head, then how is it that we have free-will. If God knows from here to the end of His time what will happen and what we will do, then it's not really free-will at all. He controls us in our every move, we may think it is free-will, but it is most definitely not. All in all, most religions do not make sense to me. I firmly believe that God/Allah/Buddha or any other deity is just a way for humans to think there is something after life. No human can imagine death and nothingness. Have you ever been knocked out before? I have. Try to think back to the time where you were knocked out, not before, not waking up. During knocked out. You can't know it because your brain doesn't recognize it. I think that death is death, and once you're dead, you just don't know. But that's just the human brain; not able to accept eternity. God is a way to have you believe there is something to strive for in life, and if that is what makes your day a happy day and makes your life fufilling, then I say more power to you :) I am perfectly fine being Agnostic
  7. Just got it tonight, I'm still on track for 85 slayer. Gonna keep hammering it out using strength....like a man. Dscim for life.
  8. 10" 12" 13" 14" 16" 18" Evans Hydraulic heads for my drumset toms. $69.70 at Guitar Center By the way I have a 9 piece 2 bass drum Pearl Export Series.
  9. I really can't stand this kind of thing: When teachers use their position to influence students and push their own personal agenda. I had a extremeist liberal for an english teacher last year and all he did every time it came up, was bash Christianity and bash our government (not even the current administration) and bash Republicans in general. Now I'm not saying that I like ANY ONE of those things, in fact I'm an agnostic and don't give a rip if Christianity is bashed, but I know, being from a rural town, that there are many students who have strong beliefs in the higher powers and it very much offended them. I don't think that teachers should be able to do anything like this. You teach your subject, not your political standpoints or moral issues.
  10. Use imageshack/photobucket. Upload pictures to there, then get IMG code and paste it on in. Easy as pie.
  11. Thanks a lot guys (and possibly girls, who knows). I think I'm going to try my hand at GWD to get myself a few pairs of those shiny boots. I can kill them plenty fast and I'm hoping to make a quick couple million to fund 70 prayer. I have 10mil in the bank but I made a vow to myself never to go under 10mil again
  12. Just got it tonight. I'm going for 85 eventually and I'm also training strength, thus the dscim. Should I stop at 83 to make some cash at GWD?
  13. I usually pull close to 20 ranarrs total from an assignment :-k But great trip nonetheless
  14. Nice job, that music sounds like some of the new Avenged Sevenfold (I haven't heard any of it) or I'm thinking it's Chimaira....but I'm not sure.
  15. 29/30 27/30 I should have gotten 28/30 on the second one though, I pushed the wrong side when I was 100% confident in my answer
  16. Arguably one of the best movies of all time, SE7EN David Mills: Wait, I thought all you did was kill innocent people. John Doe: Innocent? Is that supposed to be funny? An obese man... a disgusting man who could barely stand up; a man who if you saw him on the street, you'd point him out to your friends so that they could join you in mocking him; a man, who if you saw him while you were eating, you wouldn't be able to finish your meal. After him, I picked the lawyer and I know you both must have been secretly thanking me for that one. This is a man who dedicated his life to making money by lying with every breath that he could muster to keeping murderers and rapists on the streets! David Mills: Murderers? John Doe: A woman... David Mills: Murderers, John, like yourself? John Doe: [interrupts] A woman... so ugly on the inside she couldn't bear to go on living if she couldn't be beautiful on the outside. A drug dealer, a drug dealing pederast, actually! And let's not forget the disease-spreading wh_re! Only in a world this terrible could you even try to say these were innocent people and keep a straight face. But that's the point. We see a deadly sin on every street corner, in every home, and we tolerate it. We tolerate it because it's common, it's trivial. We tolerate it morning, noon, and night. Well, not anymore. I'm setting the example. What I've done is going to be puzzled over and studied and followed... forever.
  17. When Gov't Control goes too Far. I have every ounce of confidence that this would happen if it wasn't for people that could see past the veil most governments hide behind.
  18. I'd consider Al Gore if he would stop calling himself "I was the next president of the United States" Florida wasn't a faulty process, the initial decision was because the random sample was inaccurate from exit polls. Get over it.
  19. This is my dog Maggie, she's a pure bred Weimaraner.
  20. I'd rather have to study today.... But instead I have to annotate 3 more chapters of Brave New World #-o
  21. I've always believed that The Iraq War, abortion, homosexual marriage, illegal immigration were all poll getters. It just gets people out to the polls to vote for "candidate X" And Ron Paul FTW. I've had him on my myspace for ages now, ever since I saw him on The Colbert Report. He's got my vote come November next year.
  22. No I really wasn't trying to bait you, but obviously we don't want another post vietnam here. I think he might have learned at least one lesson over the course of his presidency. Although I don't want troops to be left in Iraq indefinitely, I don't think that bringing them all out immediately would do U.S. or Iraq any good. Slowly phasing them out is the best answer. If we leave the Iraqi people hanging, I think there will be some bitter tension from them in 20 years, the same way there is with Vietnam and Korea.
  23. You can bash Bush all you want. So he doesn't pass a child healthcare bill, I'm sure he wasn't the first to do so. But what I really want to know, is why policy hasn't changed in the past 2 years. The congress is now democrat majority but yet there have been no changes in Iraq. In fact, there are more troops being sent there than before. I'm not being a jerk here, but do you know why that is? No one can give me an answer on that!
  24. The same reason why there are multiple people running in the democrat and republican race in 2008. Not every Republican is an uber conservative. Not every Democrat is a left extremist. You're taking this article at face value which no matter what issue it is about, you should never do. When did I say I was agreeing with him completely???? And comparing George Bush to Adolf Hitler? You have got to be kidding me. When you are being rounded up to be killed by your skin color, sexual preference, religion, or physical characteristics, make sure to let me know. I am not a republican. I disagree completely with the political process. In most cases, I don't take a standpoint.
  25. But what do we know about that bill other than the general statement "for children's healthcare"? We all know every bill is hammed up with tons of other crap that is irrelevant to the "main purpose" of the bill. He's caught in a catch-22. Veto and look like a bad person for being against child health care and be torn to shreds by the left-based news media OR pass it and cause other repercussions that the american public doesn't know about.
