Amen brother, some people are just angry that the three digit combat club just got a lot less exclusive with Summoning. That's true. People with 80 and lower melee skills are in the 100+ group. Ridiculous.

Personally, I dislike summoning. I disagree with almost every pro-summoning post in this topic. I'm not going to train it. I do have plenty of cash to train it with and charm counts over 1k for each color (aside from blue). I'm sorry, but I just do not think that summoning should have an affect on combat levels. That's just my side of the story and I'm going to stick to it.

That's kind of the point: to make you work hard for the points. You can use points to skip an assignment or use 100 points to cancel a certain monster for good if you so choose.

You have to do 5 tasks at any slayer master Caniffs or higher. After the 5th task you accumulate points; Duradel the highest at 15 per completed task. Every task thereafter you gain another 15 points (still on Duradel). At 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, etc. you get a bonus amount of points, each exponentially higher than the previous increment of 10. Burthorping a task resets your task count back to 0.

I like the idea of reducing the hits. I think that they should do something on the lines of the max hit of the monster is reduced by 25%. So if said monster hits an 8 as a max hit, it is reduced to 6, but still keep the defense bonuses of the body and legs at 300+. Good innovative thinking :)

It takes a lot more work nowadays to be a "PC Product". I spent time there and got full void with melee and range helms. Only reason I ever stepped foot in Pest Control.

Its a game, playing it a long time doesn't make you a good person the same way not playing much doesn't make you a [bleep]. For pretty much all of runescape's history high-levels have been the most skilled and most respected players. With summoning, a lot more players have access to this status. We're just trying to state that the original "high-levels" are hard to find anymore.

Is there a way to get the old look? Does one of our wonderful members of the community have the skills to create one?

If you're training hard, you can easily get 10k xp in an hour...I don't see the point system being a way to level slayer. Maybe once you've done all the other achievables from the slayer master then maybe...

I had someone offer me 700k on the spot for mine earlier today. Politely declined.

Maybe I'm old fashioned, maybe I'm just an idiot, but I don't think that inventory space should determine your combat level. I also don't think getting someone or something else to help you defeat a creature should give you combat levels. Combat was one of the last things that wasn't buyable and required hard work. I am very adamant on my stances and will not be changed. Combat level to me is F2P; always will be.

Summoning will be my last skill I ever raise. I refuse to have a combat level that is skewed. I am 117 and will never have to say my "real" combat level. It's ridiculous to see the amounts of low levels that have turned into stuck up 100+ that don't know what they're talking about.

I really like the changes you all made, just clean up a bit more and they'll be perfect :)

Believe me, I love the speed and ease-of-access of the new forums, but the old look was classic, and I know at least I felt at home seeing the home page. The new set up just looks like something churned off the forum factory line. If the old look was achievable then I would have no complaints.

Thanks for all of your hard work in getting this new setup brought up to speed VERY fast. It will take some getting used to, but I'm sure the new setup will be working like a well-oiled machine in no time. :D

Since there is no RWT or autoers anymore...is there any need for Random Events? I don't think they'll put anymore in or update the levels. There isn't a need for it.
