its perfectly possible for something to be flat and have a rough surface. we give the spherical earth a special name for it to define every single concave and convex shape on the planet. Let's be honest, there can't be people watching everyone 24/7. And with the amount of planes/ships in the sea, someone is bound to see this 'ice barrier' and tell others, then the news finds out, and reports that the world is not in fact a sphere. Thus, such a belief is silly in my eyes. Also, why would governments lie about the world's shape? What can they gain from it?

I fail to believe that with all the many universes out there, we are the best life has to offer. I'm sure there are many, many different civilisations in other universes. Though what I doubt is that they would visit us casually, and never make any real contact. :mellow:

Woah, no need for the UK bashing or randomly accusing a member of supporting the BNP (though if they do, that's up to them, it's not illegal :unsure: ). Anyway, I think we follow America in too much, especially the wars. They're a good country to be an ally with, but they aren't the best to deal with at times. @ Serephurus; KFC is an American company if I recall correctly (so our Government can barely order them to sell pork/normal meat), and they made the decision to sell halal meat, thus not selling pork in the building. They are only doing it as a trial for a few months in a few stores, though I do think it is stupid/rediculous that they are doing it.

Even if it is part of a big flame war, surely it makes sense to highlight the flaming to a moderator who can weed out the starter, and remove all offending posts? I don't think there's much difference, as people should know not to get drawn into a heated argument that ends with them flaming/insulting other people. If anyone posts racist remarks, or inflammatory remarks, they will be dealt with as deemed appropriate by the moderator. Who says we tolerate it in the first place? We deal with users as we deem necessary, and everyone has a limit. If a user continues to ignore moderator warnings, they will be removed from the community either temporarily or permanently. Though I i disagree with comparing the tip.it forum to another forum, as I'm sure the one you are referring to is one which has a considerably lower traffic level, meaning issues can be handled far easier/monitored easier. But when we have thousands of posts made daily, it makes it harder to keep track of.

I disagree completely with a 'one warning and then you are out' policy. There are worse things than users being obnoxious on these forums. Users are often warned for their behaviour, but it's not possible for other users to know when someone has been warned unless they tell you. You may be discussing members who have been warned but ignore those warnings. All we can ask, as moderators, is for people to report posts which violate our rules. As Danqazmlp said, we cannot be everywhere nor read everything, so users reporting helps us out a lot, but not many people seem to report. :unsure: A big thanks to everyone who does take the initiative to report as opposed to skipping the post or replying to it. :thumbup:

Since this is a RuneScape fansite, the RS forums are going to be prioritised. So really this is the only section it can go under.

Today I woke up to a phonecall saying someone was coming around to take picture of our house (we're selling it to move elsewhere), so I had to wake up early and tidy the house. <_< After an hour of solid cleaning, I ordered some food, which took an hour and a half to be delivered. :thumbdown: Then the person came to take pictures and was here for all of 5 minutes. I've been lazing around ever since. :thumbup:

I think people were being a nuisance, and she became tired of handling it. So redirected people to other CC's.

I thought that Codguy's cc was just for Blogscape/Rate this people. Of my experience, Lady Heinous' has more people and is friendlier anyway (my 2 cents). :)
