  1. Pretty sure you can't sign a contract that removes your rights. Yeah you don't have to sign it, you lose basically all rights when dealing with school property. No.
  2. For just starting only do body weight exercises. If he's got weights and has some sort of routine, there's no reason he shouldn't use weights
  3. Why? Your reward for beating the fight caves should be to own a fire cape. Why does it have to be the only reward? For years, people needed to complete a long set of quest and start a master quest just to be able to kill dark beasts at 90 slayer. Would you argue that these quest should only give xp reward? Quests are easily completed and can be completed easily by anyone. However, if enough people had a problem with it, then I wouldn't have had a problem with having them accessible to everyone with the level. Firecape doesn't need to be the only reward, but it shouldn't be tied to any skills either. It is one of (if not the?) best capes in the game, I'd say that's a pretty damn good reward Why do strykewyrms need a fire cape req?

  5. Making a requirement to kill something you need 93 slayer for, and having that requirement unrelated to the skill at all is unreasonable imo.

  7. No such thing as too much protein!
  8. Do you even pk?
  9. Why do they even need to be exclusive? So lucky slayers can get their hands on them and horde them to jack up their prices? That would be merchants. Of course, slayers probably do their share of hoarding as well. They should drop eventually and be buyable in the GE soon enough, though. A slayer told me that he can get them often enough and that they aren't that rare to get as a drop. And how do merchants get the staff? From slayers that don't think, oh hey a new item time to sell on ge, they think about how much they can squeeze out of it via junk trading

  11. Not really much difficult than having a slayer monster that, say, requires a quest to access. Personally my thing with the fire cape req is that a quest can be done without a chance of failure and wasting X hours doing it over and over with nothing to show for it. Summer's End. While Guthix Sleeps. Nomad's Requiem. Mourning's End Pt. II. Need I continue? Summer's End: It doesn't take 2 hours to get to the boss, and if you die you're forced to spend another 2 hours getting to it again. White guthix Sleeps: It's not like if you die at the very end of the quest you're forced to restart it. Plus it's not difficult. Nomad's Requiem: The boss only takes a few minutes, and if you die you can go right back to him and try it again. Mournings End Pt. II.: When you leave the area the mirrors don't get reset, so it really isn't much of a challenge as it is a puzzle. No amount of Quest compares to Jad, because with Jad you waste hours of your life with nothing in return if you die. At least with quests if you die you can start right back where you started. Which in my opinion is the only reason I have decided to beat Jad, is because if you die you just wasted time and membership. Pretty much what I was going to say Because killing jad has nothing to do with slayer. Sure, people can say oh but it's a combat skill, well that still doesn't mean jad has anything to do with slayer. Especially when their justification is to protect you from the cold, when it is a cape sitting on your back.

  13. Yeah, but put that mage against a melee one on one, watch the melee put on dhide and tear up the mage. Mage's accuracy is also terribly dependent on the opponent's armour
  14. I'm happy about this. It was a rare time when the people who weren't happy had a valid reason not to be happy.
  15. Lololol. Ok, first off If you do use the insanity or whatever, and it succeeds, you are put into an institution. The big difference between jail and institution is that you are there INDEFINITELY. In other words, if they never think you are healthy enough to leave, you don't leave. And I find it laughable that you think people plead insanity to get off their charges, considering it has a minuscule success rate
  16. Correct. You only need to be carrying a pouch
  17. Sounds good, wonder what the compromise will be
  18. I think the best case of this is Vince Lee decapitating McLean on the greyhound bus. I think it is a very good rule.
  19. Michael Phelps eats up to 12,000 a DAY
  20. 2000 calories is just around MAINTENANCE intake for most people. If he wants to gain weight he needs to EAT MORE, and 3000 calories is not a lot. Big body builders can eat in the 4, 000 - 7, 000 a day range. Working out + eating 2,000 calories isn't going to do jack edit: Oh, and one more thing: Try to get a gram of protein per pound of body weight a day at least
  21. That I am not sure of. I could see swapping em out for some exercises but I don't know how well it would work for others like the military press or yate's row
  22. Stretching doesn't do much for warm up, and certain types of stretching could actually be dangerous. Ramping is pretty universally accepted as a good way of doing it. Ramping: Before each exercise you will want to do a ramping warm-up of 2-3 sets of 5 reps to work your way up to your working weight that youll use for the 3x5. The warm-up is VERY IMPORTANT if you want to avoid injury. Example: if youre military pressing 120 pounds for your 3x5, your warm up might look like this: 5 reps @ 60 lbs (warm-up 1) 5 reps @ 80 lbs (warm-up 2) 5 reps @ 100 lbs (warm-up 3) 3 x 5 reps @ 120 lbs (working sets) That and most people do cardio on their day out of the gym and not as a warm up  Personally I wouldn't listen too much to your coach or whatever, do your own research and make sure you're doing it right
  23. Range and mage have ALWAYS got the [cabbage] end of the stick. It took years for mage and range to get +5%, 10%, 15% prayers, and they don't (and probably never will) have a piety equivalent. No super range or super mage pots Until recently no slayer helm
  24. Try the Hardgainer Routine posted here http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3250231 Guy knows his stuff. And what is just under weight? Use myplate to track how many calories you eat a day http://www.livestrong.com/myplate/ 3000+ a day for good gains. And I'm not so sure that doing cardio while trying to gain weight is the best way of doing it...
  25. This site is extremely useful, especially since most people (including me) don't like adding the calories/protein/fat/carbs themselves
