  1. I lol'ed IRL!!!12 Anyway. Good guide. I was a bit geeky and picked a name from a fantasy book. It's not the name of a character though (how many Draco Malfoy129483 have you seen running around), it's a word that roughly means storyteller. So I'm happy with it.
  2. We should blame the people buying money off gold farmers, not those who work for them! It's all about supply and demand. As long as people are lazy enough to not work for their in-game money but buys it instead, there will be autoers taking up our training spots and sweat-shop workers getting carpal tunnel syndrome for 5 cents a day.
  3. Oh that's mad hot! I'm off to put it in my sig right away. You're brilliant!
  4. Exactly! Three lollipops shaped like girls instead.
  5. I really really really like these! Brilliant! If you're still making them, I've compiled an order for you. Style: Vector, duh! \ Type: Something along the lines of the second and third freestyles (random). Could you make it with three girls instead of one girl and one boy? Gender: Girl! Size: 300x100 Render: Nah. Background colour: Black. Main colour: Lightish pink. Font: The pixel font. Text: Gerthddyn Subtext: Cheekbones and lipgloss and hotpants, luv. Flying pirate monkey: Obviously!!
  6. 21 November 2006, to be exact. Unless that was a rhetorical question, in which case you are contradicting yourself - you think Jagex updates too often but you think they should update more often? Huh?
  7. Well, I'm only combat level 70 and total level ~1090 something, but I tend to help other players (lower and higher) when they need help. Thing is, some people come to expect help - if you help them once, they keep pm-ing you for more. "Where's Ardougne?" I explain. "Can you show me pl0x?" No, I don't have time to walk you there, but I explain again. "OMG you're not helping!!!!!" Yes, I'm trying to! Right now, if I don't happen to be bored, I rarely go out of my way to help people - their reluctance to even say thank you makes me lose hope in the younger generations. Then again - yes there are a lot of higher levels that think too highly of themselves for their own good. If you think your combat level in a computer game determines your value, think again.
  8. I've read your post, and I think I understand what you're trying to say: that Jagex are releasing too many updates too quickly without putting enough thought into them and without them having a "point" (ie high rewards for high levels). Well, what in RuneScape has a point then? What's the point of fishing? What's the point of combat? FUN! I play RuneScape cause it's fun and relaxing and not overly pretentious. While I agree that Hunter may not be the most interesting of skills, there are a lot of people who like it, and that's enough for me. What do you want from a skill? The ability to make money? Apart from the fact that there are apparently lots of good ways to make money with Hunter once you're high enough, I'm going to turn your own argument around. What's the point of making virtual money? Buying cool armour? Well, then what's the point of having cool armour? I really liked Cold Wars, it was utterly and thorougly funny. Tower of Life was a bit short for my taste but I like the handbag, it's very stylish. +1
  9. Oh. I figured that it was because he was killed by a white knight when checking the hiscores.
  10. In very low levels of Wilderness, there are "Danger"-signs that have the examine info "Stop examining signs, you're in the Wilderness now!"
  11. ....except you can't trim armour. It's impossible. No one can do it. So don't check the hiscores, report them for item scamming instead.
  12. This guide has already come in handy for me - got a clue where I needed pointed blue snelm yesterday. \
  13. EDIT: Removed the text so that it's easier to just search the first post. Happy Treasure Hunting! :
  14. This is a brilliant idea! If you manage to finish it, it should definitely be a sticky! Unenchanted Diamond Ring Unenchanted Emerald Ring Unenchanted Ruby Amulet Unenchanted Ruby Amulet Unenchanted Sapphire Amulet Unenchanted Sapphire Necklace Unenchanted Sapphire Ring all of the above - bought from the Port Sarim jewelry shop (sp?). She usually has a lot of them on crowded worlds. All platebodies up to mith - bought from the platebody shop in East Ardougne, in the south of the market square. All platelegs up to mith - bought from the platelegs shop in Western Al-Kharid. All plateskirts up to mith - bought from the plateskirt shop just below the platelegs shop in Western Al-Kharid. Chainbodies up to mith - bought from store in Southern Falador. Hope that helps!
  15. I have to post this: last night I was in a bank fletching, when a guy said "I need help, can somebody tell me how to make a pot?". I'm so used to people yelling "Buying prayer pots! Selling str pots!" and so forth, so I began explaining to him how he should go about making a potion. It took a while for me to understand that he wanted to know how to make a pot, with clay, and not a potion. #-o
  16. It doesn't matter if you choose Magic or Logic. The Beckon emote changes so that you whistle instead of, well, beckon.
  17. I just saw someone say "tomoz". I can only guess it means "tomorrow". :wall: I saw a guy in Seers trying to sell flax, at first he went "sell flax 20k", but after standing there for a few minutes (I was fletching), he started going "I'm selling 200 pieces of flax for 20'000 gold pieces". I was so pleased I bought it off him even though I didn't need it.
  18. Erm, no. Druids were polytheists and their religion was definitely not Christianity. Anyway, yes, that's one of the things I like about RS - all the humorous pop culture and mythological references. Try asking King Arthur what he's doing in RuneScape, for example!
  19. Kewl_Sabre - Perhaps they're selling full rune without kite? They are generally 170-180k.
  20. He hangs around with the other Pete's a lot. I've seen him at Party Pete's a few times, but mostly in the Varrock library and in the Castle Wars lobby. He's a rather nice guy. \
  21. I got the lighthouse clue when I hadn't started the Horror from the Deep-quest yet. As you probably know, you need 35 agility to do the quest - I had 25 at the time - and I had not even heard of the barcrawl before. I don't remember the reward from the clue but I remember it was rather lousy. At first I was disappointed, but then I realised that I had raised my agility 10 levels, which was sort of reward enough. \
  22. I was just yelled at for killing a cow... I needed a piece of leather, so I went to the cows at Lumbridge. Suddenly this lvl 80+ who's training mage starts yelling at me, going "Omg n00b i hate u i cud have killed that cow go away n00000b stop stealing my cows!111". I said something along the lines of "Calm down, I just needed one hide, I'm leaving now." When I reach Al-Kharid I get a PM saying "Omg ur such a n00b!" and then she logs off. What's the deal with that?
