A friend of mine said that to me and I said "WTF?" And he said: "Exactly." Then I watch =3 and learned. Oh he makes my life better... I had a friend who's subscribed to RWJ beside me, I wouldn't have done it otherwise. We laughed for at least a whole minute.
  2. Exactly, they're almost cartoonish. They're not meant to be elegant and they rarely attempt to be, they're casual and urban. Loafers though, they're made of a noble, elegant material, but they either have ugly designs on them, or they're too minimalist (nothing on them + square toes), and I find that particularly unattractive. And that's why I think if you're going to be wearing a more elegant attire, you should get some Oxford or Derby style shoes, preferably not in black so you can keep it casual when you need to. But it's very likely Jeff doesn't want that elegant attire. Which is why something a lot more casual, like retro hi-tops, is a much better idea than loafers in my opinion.

your mom... jk... I'd never laughed at a "doing your mom joke" before. Congratulations on inaugurating me.
  4. Don't get loafers if you're not going to change your wardrobe accordingly. And I still can't stand loafers. I think they have no elegance to them, they seem cheap and vulgar.
  5. Get some Nike hi-tops?

I was having a staring contest with a girl. I said "Two camels in a tiny car". She immediately looked away without any visible reason and she doesn't watch =3. It made my day.
  7. Doesn't improving yourself count as doing something about it?

Why? I'm kind of in that position myself. :P

Isn't that a great thing? If you like being skinny as a twig. If you grow some muscle, it'll be very visible and "toned up", because there won't be any body fat to blur its shape (you need at least 3-5% body fat for men).

I bought the last existing pair of these shoes in Canada. I can't wait to the semi-formal.

You can say humans are egotistical in the same way you can say they're animals. It's in the nuances. We fit into the denotation of "animal", but not the connotation--in general, we aren't wild, "cruel", etc... It's not a bad thing.
  15. Yeah, we'll put those aside because people on his newsletter list don't usually care what kind of guy DD is, only about the advice.

Or saying that giving to charity is just about making you feel better about yourself. And it is at least partly. The part of the brain that's excited by money and sex (IIRC) is also excited by giving to charity (Altruism Study).
  17. Like what? Candy, food, other junk. Took an Xbox 360 headset the other day, it was just sitting there begging to be stolen. It's like I see things and just feel the urge to take them, even when I know I don't even want them. I stole a damn chocolate bar, I'm allergic to milk -.- klep·to·ma·ni·a (klpt-mn-, -mny) n. An obsessive impulse to steal regardless of economic need. You should try to control yourself before you get caught... That's the problem. I'm good at it. The best thing you can do is chop your right hand off. If you steal with your left hand, cut that off as well. If you are using your stubs to steal things, saw your arms off (although it may be a little tricky). If you find that you can pick objects up with your feet, chop them off. If you manage to bounce with your torso and steal with your teeth... OFF WITH HIS HEAD! Seriously man, don't listen to these fools. Someday, you will need your ninja skills and you will realize that all the stealing you did is paying off. Also, it's been proven that small amounts of money at a time as opposed to one large sum adds up to more. Also, if you are real pro you can sell the stuff you don't need. I'm sure there are fools on the street who will buy that chocolate for like 5 bucks. I would like to confess that I have forgotten my original confession. I'll be bach. I think you forgot that theft is illegal and morally wrong too.
  18. It's just a flesh wound.
  19. Further research shows high fructose corn syrups (sugar molecules and various explanations) are used to sweeten, being 75% sweeter than sucrose (table sugar) and cheaper, and are made from hydrolyzed corn starches (not really natural, it's the same process your stomach uses to digest food). Your body does not process it the same way it processes sucrose: more calories, makes you feel hungrier (Article about HFCS). If you consider Wikianswers a reliable source, then Heinz ketchup contains both corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup. So I guess that's what they meant about ketchup containing corn.
  20. Wait, by thongs you mean the underwear? All the boys you knew wore thongs?
  21. Aced it. Runescape saved me on the second question. Speaking of which, can someone go grab a bottle of ketchup from their fridge and list me the ingredients? Food, Inc. (brilliant movie) claimed it was made with corn as a substitute for tomatoes.
  22. The first time I wore skinny jeans, they felt odd. Now I can't stand wearing anything loose. Including PJs. I guess it's jsut a matter of getting used to it.
  23. Does friendly but lone mean pretty much shy, but a real nice guy? That's low social value in my book, because you're sort of forgetting the "social" aspect of social value.
  24. All the time? :| You can wear some formal stuff, but you should mix it in with a little bit of casual too. For example, black derby shoes, slim/straight jeans, button up shirt, biker jacket/blazer. @abc: I consider Lent's post a confession. :P
  25. Oh. I thought the pattern was me not understanding. Well, this is ironic.
