Out of my price range, the Chili Dog is my birthday present. [Edit] And it turns out it only has one octave down, but I didn't notice until I read it so it doesn't really matter. [Edit] Nope, two octaves.

Today, I bought a Danelectro Chili Dog Octaver pedal. It sounds just as good as the MXR Blue Box, but it doesn't come with forced distortion, which is a plus. Also, it has one octave and two octaves down, whereas the Blue Box only has the latter. The Blue Box seems way sturdier though, I have an MXR Super Comp and it weighs more than twice as much. This is all plastic, but it comes with a protector so you don't kick the knobs off. Good deal for 50$ CAN. Also, thanks to said Chili Dog (why all their pedals have names related to food, I don't know), I can play Let There be Light on the guitar.
