The time has (almost) come!
Are you kidding? People were talking about construction waaaaay before it came out. I don't think you understand the point I was trying to make... Jagex never really gave any hints just before the skill came out. It was a big surprise, it came out of nowhere, is what I mean. In the case of hunter, I never heard them say ANYTHING about it, and wasn't expecting it. So you never know when a new skill is going to come out. After Summoning came out, they decided that instead of sneaking in new skills, they'd hype them a lot. In the Summoning DDs I think.

Dragon Claws
Makes sense, but at one point someone in the video hits a 44 after some other hits, which is only 10% above the max according to max with D Mace.

Sounds like they put caves and such in higher places to save spaces. Fog takes you to very high wild numbers too.

Runescape Named One Of The Best Time Wasters
Wasting time *is* what I seek in RS. Just killing the time during which I wouldn't be able to do anything better.

trick question- how are we supposed to know what didnt get worked on! You seem to know very well... Oh wait: we could say it's totally normal the phoenix update has taken nearly a year to make. No, you don't. They said they'd be releasing a phoenix familiar in 2008-2009, not that they'd be releasing a phoenix when you want it. FYI you can't introduce anything without a background. maybe they're working on a skill or 2 skills and that progress is interupted. all the tweaks we get a month later or two months later means they missed something; some are small problems, others they make wholescale changes; most should have been addressed before release. example: costume room and box sets always seem to get updated later. bank space- are we getting more bank space? You need more bank space? random event changes Again, they've given no precise dates. death animations for npcs still a problem How are they problematic? culinaromancer's chest Apart for taking items from the GE, the chest is fine. new tutorial M'kay. clan wars It's been updated they still havent fixed many bugs and problems with exisiting content; and those have taken on low priority status. i've given them a break on graphics bugs because they're mostly neglible and understandable i guess. tweaks for practically everything (some were needed) summon, ge, bh, vinesweeper, item lending, (means going back to fix problems, cater to whiners in some cases, and while doing that not working on other update content/problems with content.) Of course tweaks are required. Unless Jagex releases beta version of skills, then they're not going to be able to test all possibilities. And even then,if they release a beta to a few players, they probably still won't see all the possibilities. overall i'd say jagex is doing a good job updating the game; they could do better. do i think some things are holding them back. yes. things seem to get past them often and a lot of these things are obvious so who is to blame for that? i'm going to say quality assurance. so go ahead and give them a pass and make excuses or point the finger at me, but i'm just giving a total assessment of their performance. Again, QA does good. Not great, not excellent. But it's physically impossible for them to think of EVERYTHING. Try go try to climb a building without touching it or using any equipment. You can't? Well then. Does that mean you're doing a bad job? and as i've said, they've done a lot of things right, jagex has. i dont look at jagex as one entity; i'm aware they have teams and different people are assigned different responsibilities etc. so when i say qa is doing a sub-standard job that's exactly what i mean. this kind of discussion is really better fit for a separate topic and the other point you brought up about them making the game easier isnt about less grinding; i didnt do pc or alching or teleporting to raise magic, but if you ask me that's more of a grind then regular/other forms of training. Fact is if you want to efficiently train, you often have to take the boring way. And people don't want to take the less efficient route, because they want to get to that one level that'll let them do this or that. you misinterpret my comments. making things easier does not equal less grind. it means a lot of different things and when i say easier, i mean look at summoning major tweaks made for those people to level that cannot be bothered to pick up their drops or find a good way to make money: there are many ways to make money in the game. they could have mined their own granite for granite lobster but no, jagex had to tweak it and they still dont mine it. it isnt a grind to use your skills (mining) to help your summoning. Last time I checked, mining is almost the definition of grinding. And it's not more efficient to mine your granite, so in the end they didn't add anything that made it easier. :| i happen to do a variety of things in runescape; to make things interesting and less of a grind; and those options are there for the non-lazy. but clearly you dont see things the way i see things. I don't. I think some things are boring, and some aren't.

I learned most of my German playing Pokemon on my GBA, so Aurian, it does help.

do U consider being called noob offensive?
Yup. : Not necessarily. A PJer will be called a noob, and he hasn't really gained or beaten anything from wasting his opponent's food. Usually if I get ca;;ed noob, I'll think I don't deserve to be called that way so there isn't anything to be ticked about.

I'd come, but Wednesday is homework night for me... Meh, I'll try. I'm happy when ti comes to what Jagex did about the bots too.- Behind the Scenes December
Devnull, he said 'Finally, we will be able to speak without being insulted' ;-)- Dragon Claws
That's stupid then, you can take your friend's D Claws and 2-spec people in PVP while risking nothing since your friend gets them back anyways -.-- Runescape Named One Of The Best Time Wasters
^It is, unless you're researching stuff/learning/doing something generally productive. Remember when I got flamed for saying that? RS is a waste of time. Sudoku isn't. If I were to rate them on a scale of 10 for wasting time, RS gets a 9 and Sudoku a 0. Sudoku helps develop your thinking; if there was such thing as a Thinking class, Sudoku could be homework. RS teaches you what a Mjolnir is. That doesn't make RS a bad thing. It's just a way to kill time.- Runescape Named One Of The Best Time Wasters
Games are generally not productive (unless you somwhow get money from playing games), so yeah, the idea is to waste your time.- Dragon Claws
Good, that would have made for more 1-itemers...- Behind the Scenes December
Have you tried it? Turns out it's not that bad. I don't have emo/scene bangs, but when my hair gets in front of my face, it doesn't bother me that much. If I had bangs on my left eye, it wouldn't matter anyways, I can barely see past a foot with it. @M_S: Duradel and the master canoe maker both have tattoos, and facial ones at that.- Why can't F2P have...?
I don't think you're allowed posting for someone else on the RSOF anyways. Kinda sucks.- Behind the Scenes December
I don't expect to see Mobilizing Armies changes in February. Just because QA failed one thing doesn't mean they fail everything. WGS is fine, PvP worlds are great if you take apart the terrible loot, which can't really be fixed. Do I have to give other examples?- Behind the Scenes December
Long curtains is pretty close *points at own avatar*. Okay, I edited it a bit in PDN to remove the ponytail. But it's close enough. ;) @ Killerred: :P- So supposedly Player Mods have to report federal crimes?
Under what rule does that go? Real-world trading at most? :\- Behind the Scenes December
You're stupid aren't you? The reason why they're postponing it is for QA to do its job at its best. You rant about QA not doing its job, but you also rant about them doing it.- Dragon Claws
Can you take borrowed items into PVP? - One year has passed !
