  1. Hakaan, you should go to Chapters or whatever large book store you can find and get one that helps deal with what you're going through.
  2. Playing with other people is more fun.
  3. In the end, it's all about making yourself more presentable to others, and indirectly about being liked by others (not necessarily in a romantic or sexual way).

Finally found the answer to this. http://www.gilt.com/giltmanual/2011/06/how-a-suit-should-fit/#6 Cf. Aaron's comment: the side seams need to be tighter if you want the gorge to round up. I think it's unsightly, but to each their own.

No. I haven't even considered it.
  6. I wouldn't see that as a sign of success, to be honest. Sleeping around is rather a sign of bad relationships solely based on hormones. If you're trying to say I'm wrong in my above post, please do explain, because as a female I think it should be said we don't want a guy that simply does things to be liked without caring for them. As for finding something stimulating to do: everyone needs hobbies. If you attend school or college the start is by socially interacting with your fellow students, taking up a sport or instrument. Or get a job and interact with co-workers outside of work. This is something personal and depends on their own preference. Okay, let me explain again: Dan is in a successful, stable, relationship that is not about mindless sex, AND he's been good at attracting women for a while now. Again, Hakaan's situation, for now, has nothing to do with girls, it's just about finding something stimulating to do... If he doesn't like playing piano (which I don't believe is really possible, maybe he's not playing the right things, but regardless) that's not what he should be doing; on the other hand, you can't apply a "that didn't get me anywhere" rationale to piano.
  7. Bad luck, every assumption you've made in that post is diametrically opposite from reality. We're finding Hakaan something stimulating to do with his time in order to enjoy his time and be a little less pessimistic about things. It's indirectly about being liked by others, but first and foremost about being liked by your own self. There's nothing wrong with playing Runescape, but it's probably a kind of comfort zone for him, and getting away from that might help him see new things. Dan is in a successful relationship and has probably had more sexual partners in 5 years than some of us will in a lifetime.
  8. I'm assuming you're under 25? Maybe you should quit Runescape for a bit and find something creative to do. Take up an instrument. Something to do with yourself that could become a chick magnet, maybe. I played piano and some drums for a while, but that never really got me anywhere. I ended up quitting. Well of course, with that mentality... How long did you play them?

I footbrake to slow down from fast speeds - I need a durable sole. They have the same sole as other vans skate shoes, I've had several pairs. @Shiny: Do what you want.

...But...they're comfy and I look good in them. ;__; Desert boots are more comfortable, word bond.

No one will be impressed because you would have to deliberately unbutton your jacket to show them you are wearing suspenders and not a belt, because they will be unable to see them otherwise; and at that point they'll call you fairy or something equally emasculating. There is neither a practical reason nor an aesthetic reason to wear them, because they won't alter the look of the waist band. If the pants don't fit, get yourself some suspenders, but otherwise you might as well send me the money (PM for my PayPal). @Sam, you only longboard right? I skate to school with a regular deck every morning in DBs and it hasn't been a problem. You need skate shoes only if you do tricks, so they won't be torn by the grip. In other words, Authentics or Eras. The ones in solid colors. For an extra layer of cool, get white leather laces and rub oil finish on them.

It's just for fun. Lighten the [bleep] up. Its [bleep]ing stupid. If this is what people do for fun thats just sad. Wont be to much fun when someone else dies for trying to be a hero planking something stupid. That's like saying Runescape is stupid. People are entitled to their opinions too, by the way.

Vans Authentics, durr. Are you planning on not washing these jeans? Because frankly I'm not sure it'll be worth it... As you can see, not everything looks good after a year, especially the post-wash picture. These are N&F's Broken Twill Selvedge. The natural indigo ones look great though.
  14. Well, that's why we have mitigating circumstances, no? Not sure if that's the correct term, but it's self explanatory.
  15. Yes, but what would have happened once the guy had been released? At that point he probably wouldn't have changed much (I believe his little promenade and bar stop were not far from his release, no?). He could have raped another girl easily, or even raped the same woman again out of spite. I think there's really no answer to this question. Really, there's nothing you can do to prevent a guy like that from walking, and setting people in fire is just going to be uncontrollable and eventually cause collateral damage,, or even cases where the arsonist was wrong (i.e. the guy was actually really asking about the daughter). People will be harmed one way or another. 5 star post #-o
  16. I thought the mother burned him because he hadn't learned anything? No, she burned him because he asked how her daughter was. Maybe he was being sincere, or maybe he just can't keep his mouth shut. Neither are punishable by death, or what was arguably a fate worse than death. I'm not excusing her crime, but the way I see it, the guy's pretty hopeless. I wouldn't call him harmless, that taunt (if it's a taunt) shows he doesn't regret anything. As such, he isn't harmless.
  17. I thought the mother burned him because he hadn't learned anything?
  18. So if I kill everyone you ever loved, tortured and killed your pets, burned down your house, kidnapped, tortured, and release you, killing me is not rational/understandable/explainable? Rational != understandable != explainable It's understandable, everything is explainable, and I'd like you to see you prove that was a rational thing to do...
  19. I'm assuming you're under 25? Maybe you should quit Runescape for a bit and find something creative to do.
  20. Well, texts aside, yeah, actually, I would refuse that, it just seemed like easy sex with someone not so interesting and with pain involved for this person. Now it seems like easy sex with someone not so interesting and with no strings attached. Not so different from masturbation, I guess, but that's my virgin point of view.
  21. There's no valid excuse, but there sure as hell is a valid explanation. There are things mere men can't do.
  22. Threat of punishment acts as a deterrent to the majority of the people in a society. Unfortunately, there will always be those who are willing to risk something because they either don't care or think the punishment is so light that they're not worried about it. How many of you have downloaded music/movies/games illegally? Come on, you know you have. The point is that the punishment for that particular crime, while not necessarily light, is so rarely enforced that the punishment no longer acts as a deterrent. Punishment keeps the majority of us in line so that the police can deal with everyone else. I don't know about the rest of you, but I certainly would have lived my life up to this point very differently if I wasn't concerned about the consequences of my actions. Yeah, except rehabilitation, in any case, is considered a punishment. We're talking about being removed from the rest of society so you can work on not raping people here.
  23. Some argue society's role is to rehabilitate. I'm not sure of that myself, though I don't see what punishment really achieves. If society's role is to rehabilitate, then that remark shows he either didn't learn anything, or is completely hopeless.
  24. Alright, so what if the gas fire she lit burned the bar down and killed/injured some innocent people? Firstly, I was talking about the concept of her action not the action by itself. Secondly, it didn't. Now can we please refrain from asking "what-if" questions, because it's going to do nothing but ping-ponging back and forth. A better question you should of asked, is "What happens if someone pursues justice and damages an innocent in the process." That question talks about the concepts, still makes the point you were trying to make, and avoids "what-if" questions. My answer to that: She becomes the rapist. Any one of those at the bar or those who care are justified to bring her to justice. There's no point around her accidentally burning down the place because no laws could of prevented her from doing that. As I said in my first post, second point: she already ignored current murder laws so the freak accident was going to happen whether or not more laws against vigilantes were in place. Except that doesn't solve the problem, because being put in prison doesn't solve the fact that the victims in the bar were killed/injured. The only way it can be, is by burning the mother. Oh wait isn't that a vicious cycle? [cabbage]. Maybe we should prevent that type of thing. Also, hard work in the sense of labour isn't the same as vengeance. Yes, it's a good idea not to rely on others, but applying that to the extreme doesn't work.
  25. I think in that case, he really needs to stress the fact that this isn't a dating process, that romantic feelings will never grow out of it, and that if she's not ready for that, she should just give it up. If it's already done, I guess there's nothing left but for her to fall flat on her face then hate him/learn something. And regardless, this is probably something he could save her from. He might not be doing the wrong thing, but he's certainly not being a great guy. And when you've got a chance to easily do something great for someone, shouldn't you take it?
